Although they weren't hurt, the two security guards were still furious and quickly shouted into their walkie-talkies, "Reporting to Captain Stone, a red sports car has forced its way into the resort! Please send people to intercept it!"
Among the elite circles of Riverstone City, there are two places everyone dreams of visiting.
One is the Peninsula Paris in the city, and the other is Redleaf Resort in the southern suburbs.
Both places operate on a strict membership system, and their requirements are extremely high—members are either rich or powerful. Rumor has it that the owners of both the Peninsula Paris and Redleaf Resort are incredibly well-connected.
Almost no one dares to cause trouble at either location, and as for forcing their way in—well, that's never happened before.
So when Captain Stone heard someone had crashed into the resort, he was not only furious but also a little excited—this was a perfect chance to make a name for himself.
He immediately made a decisive call, gathering all the security staff to set up a roadblock and wait for the arrival of the red sports car.
Redleaf Resort covers a vast area, divided into three parts: lodging, entertainment, and dining. Each zone is separated by more than a kilometer, making the layout clear and distinct.
Ian Song hadn’t expected Zoey Su to actually crash through the checkpoint.
But since they were already inside, Ian didn’t say anything more and quickly activated his Clairvoyant Vision to search for Shelly Song. However, the resort was too large and his range was limited, so he couldn’t locate her yet.
Having spent time with Zach Zhang, Ian had picked up plenty of info about Redleaf Resort, so he had a rough idea of the layout. He told Zoey Su, "Head for the lodging area."
"You got it!" Zoey replied cheerfully, a sly glint flashing in her eyes. Ian, worried about Shelly Song's safety, didn't notice her expression.
"Captain, that red sports car is heading your way."
The security guard in the monitoring room reported to Captain Stone.
Stone Qiang straightened up and ordered his men to get ready.
Sure enough, less than a minute later, the red sports car appeared. Stone Qiang swung his rubber baton and shouted, "They say you train troops for a thousand days to use them for one—brothers, it's time to earn some glory! Stay sharp!"
"Yes, Captain!" the guards responded in unison.
"Roadblock ahead!"
Seeing the group of guards standing behind the barricade dozens of meters ahead, Ian's expression grew grim.
"A little roadblock won't stop this lady—hold on tight!" Zoey sneered, pressing her foot harder on the gas. The sports car instantly shot up to 100 km/h.
"Captain, that car's speeding up!" a guard behind Stone Qiang warned.
Stone Qiang's face changed slightly. He pointed his rubber baton at the red sports car and shouted, "Stop! Stop right now!"
To his shock and anger, the sports car completely ignored him and only sped up.
Seeing the car about to hit the barricade, Stone Qiang finally lost his cool and yelled, "Everyone get out of the way!"
Bang!
The plastic barricade was sent flying, scaring the guards into scrambling for cover!
By the time Stone Qiang and his men recovered, the sports car was almost out of sight. Furious, Stone quickly called the internal line: "Manager Hayes, bad news—a red sports car just forced its way into the resort. We couldn't stop it. Whoever's inside means trouble, and they're heading for the lodging area."
Redleaf Resort has two types of security: one is the regular guard team, over eighty people strong.
The other is a group of enforcers hired by the resort, all real martial artists. Even the weakest could handle three or five regular guards. Their leader is Howard Hayes, officially the resort's head of security.
After hearing Stone Qiang's report, Howard Hayes was a bit surprised. As a late-stage Postnatal martial artist, he got paid well here, but since the boss had strong connections, almost no one dared make trouble at the resort. He always felt his skills were wasted.
Now, someone had actually forced their way in, and the regular guards hadn't managed to stop them. Howard suddenly felt a bit of excitement—who would dare storm the resort like this?
He quickly used his earpiece to summon dozens of his men and headed to the lodging area to wait for the car to come right to them.
As they got close to the lodging area, Ian's Clairvoyant Vision could finally reach. He swept through all the rooms one by one, and at last, on the third floor, he found Shelly Song and Deputy Director Xing.
Suddenly, Ian's face darkened and his eyes flashed with killing intent. Right then, Deputy Director Xing had pinned Shelly on the bed, tearing at her clothes while she struggled desperately.
"Faster!"
Ian said coldly to Zoey Su.
Zoey was about to snap back, but the look in Ian's eyes made her shiver. She quickly turned her head and drove seriously, thinking, "What's with that scary look in his eyes?"
Finally, the red sports car pulled up in front of the lodging building. Howard Hayes was already waiting with more than twenty enforcers, all standing ready.
As soon as the car stopped, Zoey Su jumped out and ran toward Howard, shouting in panic, "Hero big brother, help! That guy in the car kidnapped me and made me crash into the resort!"
Hearing Zoey call him 'hero big brother,' Howard was momentarily stunned, then calmly assured the scantily clad Zoey, "Don't worry, young lady. With us here, no one can hurt you!"
Ian, who was just about to get out of the car, was stunned—he hadn't expected Zoey to pull a stunt like that. But with Shelly in danger, he couldn't waste time arguing. He pushed open the door and strode toward Howard Hayes, saying urgently, "My cousin is inside and she's in grave danger. Please, let me through! I'll apologize to everyone afterward!"
Before Howard could reply, a vicious-looking enforcer behind him sneered, "Kid, do you know where you are? You really think you can just barge in here? You must have a death wish!"
Ian frowned. Using Clairvoyant Vision, he saw Shelly's fierce struggle had angered Deputy Director Xing, who slapped her unconscious.
"Brothers, please let me through!" Ian pleaded again.
Howard Hayes gave Ian a playful look. "Kid, if you want me to make things easy for you, you'll have to get past my men first!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his enforcers quickly surrounded Ian.
Seeing there was no peaceful way out and time was running out, Ian took a deep breath and announced loudly, "If you won't let me through, then I'll just have to offend you!"
