Disciple of the Sage

On the Nether Sea, Prince Umbral stood tall in the portal of the Mingdu Heaven Gate. Even Lady Umbral’s cross-boundary assault, Tanner Shue’s Imperial Gate Divine Saber, and Lord Hades summoning the power of Nether City couldn’t inflict any serious harm on him.

The Emperor’s Throne realm was simply too strong.

After her resurrection, Lady Umbral learned the three hundred and twenty-four foundational Umbral runes from the Woodcutter Sage and his companions, establishing a new Umbral divine art system. Her powers soared, and as a born goddess, her combat strength now surpassed even Tanner Shue and Lord Hades.

But because she couldn’t enter Mingdu and could only strike across the boundary, she couldn’t deliver a fatal blow to Prince Umbral.

Tanner Shue’s strength was formidable, and the Imperial Gate Divine Saber was forged specifically to counter Youdu’s divine arts—it could even sever Tu Bo’s horn. Unfortunately, a flaw appeared during its forging.

Prince Umbral, ever cunning, used his own divine arts to exploit that flaw, neutralizing the saber’s soul-devouring effect. Tanner Shue could only rely on the saber’s raw power to wound Prince Umbral, never to take his life.

Lord Hades, gathering the strength of Nether City and its gods, could also fight, but the gap in realms meant he could only injure Prince Umbral.

With the Mingdu Heaven Gate in hand, any wound—so long as it didn’t instantly claim his life—Prince Umbral could heal.

His Mingdu Heaven Gate had miraculous powers over tribulation and reincarnation. As an Emperor’s Throne expert, his techniques—though born from Youdu—had already evolved beyond its limits.

After a long, bitter struggle, wounds multiplied on Tanner Shue and Lord Hades. Their advantage reversed into disadvantage, and if the battle kept going, escape would become impossible.
