Aurora Yates sneered, "Just look at him—he has a bit of the Pioneer Emperor's look about him, doesn't he? He must be a descendant of Kaihuang! And you still claim he's not your disciple? Woodcutter Sage, don't even think about fooling me!"
The Woodcutter Sage's face flushed red. "He is indeed my second disciple, but it's just in name. I've never taught him a single thing."
Suddenly, the power of the Five-Thunder War Gourd burst forth, blasting Quinn Shepherd away. But runes whirled around Quinn, and in an instant he teleported back, still clinging to the Disaster God's back, gnawing fiercely and rapidly at the god's head.
"Teleportation divine art—that's your own creation," Aurora Yates said, even more suspicious, sneering.
The Woodcutter Sage was overcome with shame and couldn't say a word.
Suddenly, the burly Disaster God hovering above the Yong River noticed the commotion. The kinless Disaster God was startled, and, not daring to shake Quinn off, quickly bowed his head and bent low. "Senior Sister!"
Aurora Yates nodded and said, "You're a disciple of the Northern Emperor? You recognize me as your Senior Sister too?"
The Disaster God, his head bloodied from Quinn's biting, stood there helplessly and said, "I've seen Senior Sister once before, but with your high status, you probably didn't notice me. I've been ordered to descend tribulation—please forgive me, Senior Sister..."
Aurora Yates replied coolly, "Just leave something behind and go. With me here, you won't be able to carry out the tribulation. Leave something behind—you'll have something to report when you return. Tell your master I'm here: either send you all to die, or come and descend tribulation himself."
The Disaster God's face changed dramatically. With a sudden bite of resolve, he severed his own left arm, descended from the sky, and respectfully placed the arm before Aurora Yates. He then retreated two or three steps, let his Primordial Spirit leave his body, and his flesh transformed into a stone statue.
Quinn Shepherd gnawed at the stone statue's head for a while, nearly chipping a tooth, and had to give up. He slid down from the statue and glanced around, the fierce light in his eyes flaring—like a wild beast ready to devour anyone in sight.
The stone statue slowly sank into the earth and vanished. The Five-Thunder War Gourd spun madly, swallowing the thunderclouds overhead into its body, then disappeared as well.
"This beautiful lady looks the tastiest!"
Quinn lunged excitedly, pouncing toward Aurora Yates. The Woodcutter Sage was so mortified he wished he could dig a grave and bury himself on the spot.
Aurora Yates formed a seal with her right hand, her five fingers weaving in the air like a lotus. She gently tapped Quinn between the brows, and immediately the Netherworld Demonic Will in his body receded, with torrents of Netherworld Miasma surging back into the 'Qin'-glyph continent at his brow.
Aurora's seal swept up the Netherworld Miasma and Demonic Will, ramming it into the giant baby Fenix Greenwood Keane within. The Nether City Jade Specter Mirror's seal trembled from the impact.
Heaven Duke and the Crimson Emperor were astonished, exclaiming in unison, "That girl's skills aren't bad! Too bad she's dead."
Aurora Yates let out a soft 'hmm,' her face filled with puzzlement. The power in her seal vanished, as if something had devoured it.
She couldn't see what was happening inside the 'Qin'-glyph continent, nor could she see Heaven Duke and the Crimson Emperor.
"There's something strange in your brow. Let me enter your third eye and have a look!"
Just as she was about to fly into Quinn's brow, the Woodcutter Sage, First Human Emperor, Furylo, and Chi Creek quickly blocked her, shouting, "Absolutely not! Don't probe his brow—each of us has suffered for it!"
The Woodcutter Sage added, "I may not have suffered personally, but I know how dangerous it is inside. Heavenly King, you'd best not try it!"
Aurora Yates' eyes flickered, and she smiled. "Is it really that dangerous? Even for someone at Emperor's‑Throne level? Well, my physical body is dead now—no need to look, then."
Quinn snapped back to his senses, hurriedly pasted a Golden Willow Leaf to his brow, and let out a sigh of relief.
"Teacher, First Ancestor, you're both alive again?"
He was both shocked and overjoyed. Then, looking at Aurora Yates, he quickly straightened his clothes and pulled out a mirror to check his appearance before greeting her: "Teacher, who is this fairy elder‑sister?"
"Fairy elder‑sister?"
Aurora Yates' heart bloomed with joy; her earlier poor impression of Quinn vanished. She laughed, "Celestial Teacher, your second disciple has good taste—much better than the Pioneer Emperor, much better than you too. He's a real talent! You didn't choose the wrong apprentice."
The Woodcutter Sage relaxed and quietly whispered to Quinn, "Wipe your mouth—there's still blood on your lips."
"Blood on my lips?"
