Galloping Across the Snowfields

Li Yanhao was very pleased with the horse's resistance, squinting his eyes as he rubbed his bruised rear, saying, "My horse is a pure and fierce steed, Yuanbao, you better not have any ideas about him."

"Is that so?" Xiao Zetian sneered disdainfully, spreading his palm to press against the horse's agitated head.

Immediately, a tremendous force poured out from his palm, continuous and overwhelming like rivers and seas, vast and bottomless. The horse, sensing such powerful energy, instantly calmed its fiery temper.

Under Xiao Zetian's touch, the once fierce steed instantly transformed into a docile horse as gentle as a lamb.

Xiao Zetian was satisfied with the horse's reaction, releasing his palm and patting the horse's neck, praising, "It's a fine horse."

Then he stylishly swung himself onto the horse, which obediently stood still. Xiao Zetian pulled the reins and squinted at Li Yanhao with a smile, "You and this horse are very obedient, nothing like the so-called pure and fierce steed you described."

Li Yanhao's face instantly flushed red as he glared at the horse, "Horse, show some spirit! Where's your temper, your fierceness?"

The horse remained as gentle as a lamb under Xiao Zetian's control.

Xiao Zetian laughed heartily at Li Yanhao's embarrassed state, urged his horse forward, and came over to Su Li, extending a hand: "Wife, get on."

Su Li looked up at Yuanbao on horseback, still with that silly expression, but she felt that Yuanbao seemed different today. Yet she couldn't figure out exactly what was different. Could it be because he was riding a horse?

Though puzzled, Su Li trusted her silly husband Yuanbao completely, so she reached out her hand and placed it in Xiao Zetian's palm.

The smile on Xiao Zetian's lips deepened as he pulled Su Li into his arms in front of him.

"Wife, shall we go riding?" Xiao Zetian rested his chin against her forehead.

"Yuanbao, when did you learn to ride?" Su Li leaned against him, somewhat puzzled.

"I don't know either. When I saw the horse, I just felt like I could ride," Xiao Zetian's voice drifted down from above.

Su Li thought for a moment. Perhaps Yuanbao learned to ride before he lost his memory. With his demeanor and appearance, his status should not be low; it wouldn't be strange for him to know how to ride.

"Giddy up, wife, let's go!" Xiao Zetian gave a light shout, and the horse galloped wildly across the snowy plain.

The howling wind blew past their ears, swirling snowflakes that made Su Li's hair fly wildly. Xiao Zetian took the cloak with one hand and wrapped her up, leaving only her eyes exposed.

"Ah! Yuanbao, we're running so fast! Hahaha!" Su Li laughed joyfully, spreading her fingers to feel the wind and snowflakes blowing through.

Xiao Zetian looked at the woman playing with the wind and snow in his arms with eyes full of adoration, then gently pressed a deep kiss on her forehead.

The two galloped wildly across the snowy wilderness, carefree and unrestrained. Su Li felt she hadn't been this happy in a long time; the speed of the horse seemed to ignite her heart and release all her stress.

"I'll teach you to ride, okay?" Xiao Zetian relaxed the reins, letting the horse walk slowly forward on its own.

Su Li's little face flushed with excitement as she nodded vigorously in Xiao Zetian's arms, "Okay, you teach me!"

But just as she finished speaking, she suddenly felt something pressing against her.

Xiao Zetian slightly leaned down, his chin resting on her shoulder, blinking with an aggrieved look. Tiny droplets shimmered on his long lashes as he hoarsely said, "Wife, let me... then I'll teach you... otherwise, how can I teach you like this..."
