Chapter 465: On Horseback?
Su Li's face suddenly flushed; she felt the temperature of the man behind her rising rapidly, like a furnace, heating her body as well.
"Hmm, here... on horseback?" Su Li's voice was small and delicate, like a mosquito's, shyly lowering her head.
"Wife, I want to..." Xiao Zetian held her waist and lifted her up so she was sitting facing him, grabbing her hand and reaching down, "Wife, feel it, I'm like this... it's so uncomfortable..."
"Then how am I supposed to..." Su Li's face burned fiercely. Being out in the wild like this was just too... uninhibited!
But Xiao Zetian looked impatient, holding her tightly in his arms. The two were pressed close together as he grabbed her hand and slipped it inside his clothes, then wrapped them both with a large cloak.
Su Li was burned by the heat and couldn't hold on with one hand, so she used both hands, carefully and gently tending to him.
Xiao Zetian squinted his eyes, grabbed the reins, and let the horse start running.
On horseback, rising and falling like waves, her soft, delicate hands and tender belly were the source of his joy.
The horse sped up and slowed down, jolting and swaying. Unable to bear it, he leaned on her for support.
The cold wind howled past his ears, yet even the temperature of the snowflakes seemed to rise...
The horse ran for who knows how long, unable to run anymore. Su Li's hands were too sore to move, and finally, after a low roar from the man, she collapsed weakly in Xiao Zetian's arms.
"So tired... my hands feel like they're going to break," Su Li said, looking at her limp hands. She thought to herself, after all this, how could she still learn to ride? She couldn't even hold the reins!
Besides, Yuanbao still had to go home and clean her clothes.
Su Li bit her lip, saying she wanted him to teach her to ride first, but in the end, all he did was... well, you know, and never taught her to ride.
"Wife, I was careless. Next time, I'll definitely teach you." Xiao Zetian tenderly rubbed her small hands. Seeing them red and swollen, he was heartbroken and wished he could keep them safe in his heart.
Su Li pouted, whining in protest. Xiao Zetian looked at his darling wife in his arms with eyes full of adoration, feeling great, and rode the horse home.
Back in the room, Xiao Zetian went to bathe and change clothes. Su Li sat on the edge of the bed, pouting. Why did she feel like Yuanbao had gotten a bit smarter recently?
But that silly look in his eyes, the pure expression, hadn’t changed one bit!
If Yuanbao had really regained his memory, it shouldn’t be like this.
Su Li thought about it and found it suspicious, but it didn’t quite add up. Unable to figure it out, she decided not to think about it and instead focused on planning the disciple recruitment.
"Bailu, how’s the disciple recruitment going?" Su Li called Bailu in.
Bailu smiled and said, "Madam, I asked Brother Yuan Yu for help. We’ve already selected a group of suitable candidates, just waiting for you to personally choose them."
Nearby, Xiao Zetian finished bathing and changing, then walked over from the bathhouse and asked Su Li, "Wife, what suitable candidates?"
Su Li said, "Oh, I’m not looking to take on personal disciples to teach martial arts. I want to teach cooking, so I don’t have to work so hard myself. I had Bailu and the others help find some people interested in becoming cooks, and I’ll pick a few disciples."
Xiao Zetian said "Oh" and watched Su Li and Bailu discuss the disciple recruitment details. Then he left the room and headed to Xiao Yun’s room in the backyard.
