Earl Field's words successfully made Cecilia Gu's face flush bright red.
Although she and Charles Yin were indeed husband and wife, sharing such a passionate kiss in front of so many people was truly a bit embarrassing!
Charles Yin, however, didn't care at all. He bit Cecilia's lip hard, glaring at Earl Field in a show of dominance.
But Earl Field didn't look at Charles Yin. He turned to Cecilia Gu instead.
This woman really has changed!
Her aura seemed to have evolved once again.
She retained her former elegance, but now there was a touch of boldness and fighting spirit.
Could this be the real Cecilia Gu?
Cecilia narrowed her eyes at Earl Field standing outside the door. After turning things over in her mind several times, she seemed to recall something and spoke, "Field... Earl?"
Earl Field looked proud: "It's truly an honor that Miss Cecilia remembers me!"
He called her Miss Cecilia... not Miss Cecilia Grant!
Cecilia Gu was clearly startled, then suddenly smiled!
Yes, she's back!
From now on, she would only be Cecilia Gu. The name Yun Xi would only appear in official settings.
"I'm Cecilia Gu." She introduced herself formally and seriously.
Charles Yin watched his hard-won wife chat with another man—especially one who was good-looking and fit... The more he thought about it, the more uncomfortable he felt.
He'd worked so hard to get his wife back; he couldn't let her attention stray to another man!
"Ahem! We should tidy up and get ready for an even bigger disaster." Charles Yin straightened up, looked around at the messy tent, and said to Cecilia, "We've got dozens of people here. We can't let our supplies get scattered, or the coming days will be tough. After this earthquake, local communications are probably down. I can use the satellite phone, but we need to save it whenever possible."
He was saving it for catching bigger prey!
He wouldn't let a single one of those who hurt Cecilia off the hook!
Clarence, huh?
He'd personally send her to meet her maker!
Cecilia Gu nodded and left the tent with Charles Yin.
The mountaintop was a mess.
The mountain wind howled, and the sea of trees rustled, making what should have been a peaceful night suddenly feel desolate.
The people outside had already tidied up everything that got messed up by the earthquake and secured it again.
Luckily, the bonfires were all set in pits, so even during the quake, they didn't scatter everywhere.
Alex, the assistant, ran over. Seeing Cecilia, he hesitated for a moment before saying, "Mrs. Yin, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. You've worked hard these past few years," Cecilia said with a gentle smile and nod.
Alex finally felt the weight lift from his heart!
His eyes reddened, and he nodded vigorously: "It wasn't hard. I'm just glad you're back!"
Cecilia didn't waste any more words. She joined the others, helping out where she could, getting ready for the real disaster to come.
After that, there were several more aftershocks, coming on and off.
This earthquake was acting way too strangely!
The intervals between the aftershocks were just way too short!
Luckily, everyone was prepared, so there were no casualties.
Japan is one hour ahead of Beijing.
Even though it was four in the morning, the sky was already starting to lighten.
Charles Yin and Earl Field each grabbed a pair of binoculars and, along with the others, looked out toward the sea horizon.
"It's coming. It's finally coming," Charles Yin said in a low voice.
Cecilia couldn't help her curiosity. She reached out and took the binoculars from Alex, looking out toward the sea horizon.
She saw, far beyond the coastline, a line where the sea met the sky—slowly, it was moving closer!
This is... this is...
A tsunami!
Cecilia was utterly stunned!
She'd never seen a tsunami before. She'd only watched disaster movies, but she'd never imagined that a real tsunami was even scarier than what you see in the movies!
Because movies are just fake CGI, but reality is cold and forces you to face death head-on!
Beyond the long coastline, the sea water piled higher and higher, wave after wave, like a wall—rushing in with earth-shattering force, opening its savage jaws and biting down hard on the shore.
The moment the waves reached the shore, a massive wall of water slapped down, biting hundreds of meters into the already ravaged coastline!
And that first bite didn't stop—the following waves trampled right after, crazily gnawing at the shore.
The raging water swallowed nearly a quarter of the city before finally calming down.
Earl Field, standing off to the side, said calmly, "If Osaka, which is inland, got hit this hard, Wakayama Prefecture and Mie Prefecture must be completely underwater by now."
No one present said a word.
Everyone felt a heavy weight in their hearts.
The moment the tsunami arrived—that apocalyptic scene—was burned into everyone's mind.
Cecilia was trembling all over.
So many buildings were flattened in an instant.
No one knew how many lives were lost in this tsunami—gone in a flash.
A moment later, someone reported to Charles Yin, "CEO, Wakayama Prefecture and Mie Prefecture are completely underwater! Half of Nara is gone too."
Everyone just stood there in silence, not moving at all.
By now, the Japanese government had sprung into action, starting post-disaster rescue operations.
Cecilia's eyes flickered as she spoke softly, "Even though the Yun Family and Japan have always been at odds, this disaster has hurt far too many innocent people."
Charles Yin reached out and took Cecilia's hand.
"The innocent shouldn't suffer, Charles. Help them," Cecilia leaned gently on his shoulder, her face pale as she closed her eyes.

She'd just won the battle in her mind. Waking up only to face a natural disaster—she was really exhausted.
"Alright, I'll have the Japan branch join the relief efforts." Charles Yin lowered his head and gently kissed Cecilia's forehead.
His Little Mole was always so kind-hearted!
Cecilia nodded.
Charles Yin said softly, "Go rest in the tent for a while. You've just recovered; don't tire yourself out. I'll handle everything here!"
Cecilia hesitated for a moment, but then nodded.
She really was exhausted, her whole body feeling like it was falling apart.
Everyone was stuck on the mountain now, so there wasn't much to do. Better to rest and save some strength.
Just as Cecilia was turning to leave, she paused and said to Charles, "Don't forget to call home and let them know we're safe."
Charles's eyes grew so gentle they could melt anything. He reached out and patted Cecilia's head, "Got it. Go rest now."
Cecilia nodded, went to the tent, and fell asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow.
She really was completely worn out...
Battling her own mind was the most exhausting thing she'd ever done.
She slept deeply and soundly. Maybe it was because Charles was keeping watch outside, but for once she didn't dream—she just slept peacefully.
Meanwhile, outside, Charles Yin and Earl Field sat on the ground, tossing chunks of alcohol into the campfire.
