Not Admitting It

"What are you talking about? I don't get it at all!" Lily turned her back quickly and hurriedly stashed everything on the bedside into a box. Her face was burning hot. Thank goodness she hadn't asked Cynthia to clean the room, or else she would've been mortified if someone saw this mess.

"Stop pretending!" Cynthia Wu covered her mouth, laughing, and poked Lily's lips. "Look at your swollen lips! And your hands are so weak, you dropped the book several times. Still trying to act tough and deny it?"

Busted by an expert, Lily felt embarrassed and spat, "You know already, yet you still tease me! You just love making fun of me!"

The two best friends sat on the kang, arms linked, chatting away. Cynthia, the experienced one, started giving Lily all sorts of tips and tricks. Lily blushed so red she looked like a roasted goose, wishing she could cover her ears and not hear a word, but she couldn't help but listen to every single detail.

After all, Cynthia was a seasoned pro, full of real-life experience. This was Lily's first time, and her skills were nowhere near up to par.

"...Lily, remember everything I told you. Try it out with Lucky next time," Cynthia said.

Lily's face was still red, but she nodded anyway.

She'd been so clumsy yesterday, her teeth had made Lucky suffer quite a bit. She didn't want to be so awkward next time.

Outside the door, Lucky was in a great mood, chatting with Mark Zhang under the eaves. Mark was about to become a father, and it showed—his energy was totally different. Lucky couldn't help but envy him, wishing his own wife would give him a baby soon.

Meanwhile, Alexander Hayes was still being shameless, trying to get into the room to talk to Lily, but Lucky and Mark blocked him at the door.

"Mr. Hayes, why are you looking for Lily again?" Lucky stared at Alexander Hayes warily.

"Hehe, I just want to talk business with Lily," Alexander replied, completely shameless.

"No way!" Mark and Lucky said in unison.

Mark said, "Lily's talking with my wife right now. It's not appropriate for you to go in."

Alexander Hayes wouldn't give up. "Then I'll wait until they're done talking before I go in."

"No way!" Lucky said coldly, shooting a look at Cloud Xiao nearby.

Cloud Xiao got the hint and immediately wrapped an arm around Alexander's neck, grinning, "Hey, Your Lordship, I've missed you! Let's go for a walk outside, just the two of us."

Alexander's mouth twitched in disgust. "Ugh, you bumpkin, get lost! Stop messing around!"

Cloud Xiao clung on, even more shameless than Alexander. "Your Lordship, you wanted to be alone with me last night. Why are you pretending you don't know me this morning?"

Mark's expression changed instantly as he looked at Alexander—utterly shocked.

Alexander broke out in goosebumps, silently cursing Cloud Xiao and Zephyr Xiao. Those two schemers made the whole village think he was into men, and now even the village girls wouldn't pay him any attention!

Cloud Xiao glanced at Mark with a sly look and added, "What, Your Lordship thinks the hunter is better looking than me and wants to ditch me? Last night you said I was the best!"

Mark's look instantly went from disdain to horror. Holy crap, is His Lordship really into men? Does he have his eye on me?

Mark instinctively took two steps back. If Alexander weren't a noble, he'd have kicked him far away by now.

Alexander thought, "Great, another person believes those rumors. My reputation is completely ruined!"
