Return to the Blue Robe Sect

Skyler Water was stunned by Selena Water's words. He had always thought Evan Yang just had the backbone, but now, hearing Selena say it, Evan truly had the strength as well. So he muttered, "Looks like he really has the ability. He's even scarier than Liam Yang was back then. How does the Yang Clan keep producing such strange monsters?" Selena grumbled. "It's their bloodline, so don't get careless. Go cultivate hard—don't forget, this time you're representing the Water Clan in the Heaven-Battling Clan Tournament," Skyler said.

"Fine, I'll go. I just don't believe that relying on treasures and attributes, he'll still beat me." With that, Selena turned and left, leaving Skyler standing there, lost in thought: "Brother Yang, is it really going to be your son who settles our old feud?"

As for Evan Yang, he was currently celebrating at an inn with the Wine Beggar and Lydia Yang.

"Evan, did you really heal Skyler Water?" After hearing Evan's explanation, the Wine Beggar was shocked. "Yeah, and we made an agreement: if I win first place in the Heaven-Battling Clan Tournament, I'll challenge him, to finally settle the old grudge between him and my father," Evan replied.

"Challenge him? Back then, he was second only to your father. Even if he hasn't fought for years, he's still no slouch," the Wine Beggar exclaimed.

"Relax, I've still got time," Evan said with a smile.

Lydia Yang also smiled from the side. "That's right, he still has time. So, what's your plan now?"

"You two should come with me to the Blue World—I'm grateful to you both for being here. Now that my business here is settled, you can head back. I want to wander for a while, and when the time is right, I'll return," Evan said.

"What about the Devil-Fiend Well in the Devil Realm?" asked the Wine Beggar, curious since Evan brought it up.

"The Immortal Realm Alliance already knows about it—they seem to have sent a lot of people there. As for my friends, they should have gone to the Demon-Fiend Underpalace by now. It's very safe there, since everyone's space is independent," Evan explained.

"The Devil-Fiend Well is a real headache. It must be dealt with, or it'll cause endless trouble. Now that the Immortal Realm Alliance knows, we don't have to worry anymore. So, are you really planning to travel alone?" asked the Wine Beggar.

Evan Yang nodded. "That's right. Just me alone."

The Wine Beggar nodded as well. "Alright, we'll head back first. Hope you make it back on time."

"Don't worry. My father is still there. No matter what, I'll be back on time," Evan said.

The Wine Beggar stood up. "Alright, I'll go back with your aunt then."

Lydia Yang added, "Take care of yourself. If anyone bullies you, just announce your Yang Clan identity—no one will dare mess with you."

Evan laughed, "Don't worry, I'm not that fragile."

After saying their farewells, Evan sent them off. Once they were gone, he was alone again. After some thought, he released the woman from the Strange Spiral Shell.

Sharla (Shazila), the妖-blooded woman—more precisely, a woman with妖 heritage—had been kept inside the Tower ever since the Territory War Contest. Now, coming out, she asked curiously, "Why are you letting me out?"

"I think it's time. We're pretty far from your old master now. Find a place to hide, and you should be fine," Evan said.

Sharla was startled when Evan told her to leave. "You're kicking me out?"

"I'm not kicking you out—just giving you freedom. You have your own things to do, and so do I," Evan replied.

Sharla shook her head. "No way, I'm following you."

"That's... not necessary. You don't owe me anything," Evan said.

"I know I don't owe you anything, but I'm your woman," Sharla said, looking at Evan.

Evan replied helplessly, "That was a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding or not, I'm still your woman," Sharla insisted.

Evan saw how stubborn Sharla was and didn't know what to do. Seeing his difficulty, Sharla sighed, "I know I'm not worthy to follow you. If you really hate me, I'll just leave."

Sharla was about to turn and leave when Evan said, "I never said I hated you."

"Then why?" Sharla asked.

Evan had no idea how to explain it. She just insisted on following him, and every attempt to persuade her to leave only made things worse. He really didn't know what to do.

"Forget it. If you really want to follow me, then come along. I don't have much going on right now, so you can see the world outside for a bit," Evan said.

"You really agree to let me follow you? That's great!" Sharla said excitedly.

"Let's go. I've got things to do," Evan said.

Sharla nodded, and Evan headed off to a certain place—there were people waiting for him there.

That place was none other than the Blue Robe Sect. At the Blue Robe Sect, two women and one eccentric elder were waiting.

Evan had originally joined the Territory War Contest to find a route to Blaze Mountain, but now that he'd found it, he only needed more time. Returning to the Blue Robe Sect, he wanted to consult the Mad Elder about that mountain—the strange earth-attribute place.

At the Blue Robe Sect, Hannah Nangong and Lora Luo were sitting on a mountaintop, lost in thought.

"Where did he go, really? It's been so many years. He said we'd travel together, but he snuck off, and by the time we got there, he'd disappeared again—no trace at all," Lora Luo complained.

"Maybe he had things to take care of," Hannah Nangong sighed.

"But he didn't keep his promise with us. I hate him," Lora Luo said in frustration.

"Alright, stop thinking about it. Sooner or later he'll come back," Hannah Nangong said with a smile.

"It's been over a hundred years and still no news. Maybe something happened to him?" Lora Luo worried.

"No way. Haven't you seen the news about him everywhere? At least that proves he's still alive," Hannah Nangong replied.

"True, he's famous now. Pretty much everyone outside knows about Evan Yang," Lora Luo muttered.

"That's why you should trust him. He's so strong—he won't have any problems. Besides, we're here, so I don't believe he won't come back for us," Hannah Nangong said confidently.

"I hope you're right," Lora Luo said.

Evan had no idea that Hannah and Lora had once left the Blue Robe Sect to look for him. At this moment, he'd already returned to the sect via teleportation array, and went straight to Mad Elder's peak. Mad Elder was, as usual, hugging a wine jar, lost in drunken bliss.

"Still the same as ever," Evan shook his head helplessly. He really didn't know what had triggered Mad Elder to become like this, especially when drinking Dreamwine with such genuine emotion—Evan would never forget it.

"Senior," Evan called.

Mad Elder sensed the voice and slowly opened his eyes. At first he thought it was Chase Chu, but when he saw Evan, he was surprised. "It's you!"

"Senior, after so many years, you haven't forgotten me, have you?" Evan smiled.

"Kid, what are you talking about? How could I forget you? You're finally back—that's great. I thought something had happened to you," Mad Elder laughed.

"A lot has happened, but nothing too serious," Evan said with a smile.

"You're pretty confident, kid. Oh, and you haven't introduced this one yet," Mad Elder said, eyeing Sharla and sensing a faint妖 aura.

Evan smiled. "She's my friend. She helped me before. She has a bit of妖 aura because she's a hybrid—part human, part妖."

"I see. She seems friendly enough," Mad Elder said with a smile.

"Thank you for the compliment, Senior," Sharla replied with a smile.

"Kid, your luck with women is impressive. Just a hundred years and you've got another one! If those two find out, they'll definitely come after you—they worry about you every day," Mad Elder joked. "Where are they?" Evan asked. "Of course they're at Lora Luo's master’s place. Go find them—they're always coming to see me, and now you're back, I can finally get some peace," Mad Elder laughed. "Alright, I'll go see them first, then come back to you," Evan said, and left with Sharla.

Mad Elder watched Evan’s retreating figure and laughed. "A hundred years, and he's improved again. I really don't know what kind of person he is, growing so fast."

Evan arrived at Lora Luo’s sect. Halfway up the mountain, he ran into Lynn Qing, Lora’s martial aunt. She was the one who stopped Evan before, demanding a duel before letting him pass. Seeing Evan now, she was surprised. "I didn't expect you to come back, kid."

"Senior," Evan greeted with a smile.

"Oh, you brought another girl? What's this—out picking up girls again?" Lynn Qing teased.

"You're joking, Senior. She's just a friend," Evan replied. "Friend? I doubt that's all. Just like those two girls—they always say you're just a friend, but everyone knows how they feel about you," Lynn Qing laughed. "Senior, you're teasing me," Evan said awkwardly. "Heh, I don't have time for that. So, are you heading up? Want to spar with me first? Last time you got lucky and won, but this time, I won't hold back," Lynn Qing said.

Evan smiled. "You really want to spar, Senior?" "Of course. Come on," Lynn Qing replied.

Evan had no choice but to ask Sharla to step aside, then released his aura and began sparring with Lynn Qing. Seeing Evan’s rapid improvement, Lynn Qing was shocked. "Kid, how did you cultivate? Just a few years, and you’re this strong?" "Senior, you're not scared, are you? Just remember, you have to limit your cultivation to match mine," Evan said with a smile.

Lynn Qing looked at Evan, saw his improvement, and finally withdrew her aura. "Forget it, forget it. For the sake of your relationship with Lora and Hannah, I won't make things hard for you. Go on up—those two girls are waiting for you."

Evan was stunned for a moment, then smiled. "Thank you, Senior, for letting me pass."

"Go on, kid," Lynn Qing laughed.

Evan nodded, then took Sharla up the mountain. Lynn Qing muttered behind him, "Just a few years, and he's already this strong. If he keeps this up, soon I won't be able to beat him at full power."
