Patriarch Water looked helplessly at Marquis Chance and said, "You're still the same as back then—not a bit changed. You look unserious on the outside, but inside you see through everyone."
"Thanks for the compliment, Senior Brother. But this time, I almost got schooled by your daughter." Marquis Chance laughed. "Oh? What happened?" Patriarch Water asked curiously.
"Well, um, wait—don't get mad when I tell you." Marquis Chance chuckled. "You brat, when have I ever felt at ease with your actions? Go ahead, it's not the first time." Patriarch Water replied.
Marquis Chance explained what happened. When Patriarch Water realized it was Marquis Chance who spread the news, his expression changed, and he muttered, "I was wondering who it was—turns out it's you, old rascal." "Say no more, say no more, I was just worried. See, that kid's so promising, it'd be a shame if someone like him just vanished. I wasn't planning to show up, but after what happened earlier, I had to come find you." Marquis Chance said.
"What happened just now that made you break tradition and come to me?" Patriarch Water looked at Marquis Chance, curious.
Marquis Chance smiled, "That kid—what's his real identity? Do you know?"
"He's from the Yang Clan—what other identity could he have?" Patriarch Water replied.
Marquis Chance froze. "Yang Clan? Which Yang Clan? Isn't his surname Wood?"
"Junior Brother, looks like you can get fooled sometimes. He just picked a random name." Patriarch Water laughed seeing Marquis Chance stumped.
Marquis Chance composed himself and asked, "Which Yang Clan are you talking about?"
"Of course, the northern one—Yang Ming's Yang Clan." Patriarch Water replied.
"The Heaven-Battling Clan's Yang Clan?" Marquis Chance exclaimed in surprise.
"That's right, it's them. I originally wanted to keep him, but he made a promise with my son, so I couldn't make a move." Patriarch Water said.
"What promise?" Marquis Chance asked curiously.
"The promise is that he'll join the Heaven-Battling Tournament and fight for first place. If he gets first, he'll come challenge my son. Tell me, isn't that kid crazy? It's obviously impossible. I'm worried he might just disappear after leaving here." Patriarch Water sighed.
But Marquis Chance laughed, "Senior Brother, looks like you misjudged him this time." "Misjudged? What do you mean?" Patriarch Water asked, confused. "He may look like a Profound-Immortal, but his strength is incredible. He just fought your daughter, and she couldn't do anything to him. Do you know what that means?" Marquis Chance said. "What? Impossible! My daughter has Emperor-level strength—how could she not beat him? Are you seeing things or just trying to mess with me?" Patriarch Water was shocked.
Marquis Chance shook his head and recounted what happened. When Patriarch Water finished listening, he exclaimed, "Did the Yang Clan really produce such a terrifying person?" "You'll know if you investigate." Marquis Chance said. "I've already sent someone to investigate, so we should have results soon." Patriarch Water muttered.
"I'm suddenly interested in him—a Profound-Immortal who can make even an Emperor powerless. It's been ages since someone that formidable appeared." Marquis Chance said.
Patriarch Water fell into deep thought, while Marquis Chance waited quietly beside him.
"Where's my daughter?" Patriarch Water asked.
"Didn't you have her escort that kid?" Marquis Chance said. "She should be back soon. I need to find out exactly what happened—whether she went all out or was just joking around." Patriarch Water was eager to get answers from Shui Jing about what really happened.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang had already been placed inside a spatial ring—no one could know about his comings and goings. When he emerged again, he was already in a city. Shui Jing looked at Evan and said, "Next time we meet, it'll be our showdown. Hope you prepare well!"
"Thanks for going easy on me." Evan Yang smiled.
"I'm off." Shui Jing glanced at this remarkable man, then turned and left. Watching her leave, Evan sighed, "I just offended another beauty for no reason—what a crime."
Once Shui Jing was far away, Evan found a spot and released the Wine Beggar and Lydia Yang.
When they saw the Immortal Realm, they were overjoyed and quickly asked Evan how he got out. Evan explained the whole process in detail.
After Shui Jing returned to the Water Clan, Patriarch Water summoned her. Seeing Marquis Chance there, Shui Jing angrily said, "You've got some nerve, showing up here!" "It's a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding," Marquis Chance laughed.
Seeing Shui Jing about to explode at Marquis Chance, Patriarch Water said, "Jing'er, mind your manners—he's your Martial Uncle."
"Martial Uncle?" Shui Jing looked as if she'd been struck by lightning, standing there dumbfounded. Marquis Chance laughed, "That's right, I'm your Martial Uncle—your father's junior." "No way, how could my father have a junior like you?" Shui Jing protested. Marquis Chance had been involved in the whole selection process—how could he suddenly be her Martial Uncle? She just couldn't believe it.
"Jing'er, it's true—he is your Martial Uncle. Call him Martial Uncle." Patriarch Water said.
"But it's him..." Shui Jing felt awkward about calling someone like that Martial Uncle and was clearly unhappy. "No buts, no doubts—your Martial Uncle is just that sloppy." Patriarch Water said.
"What do you mean, I'm just sloppy? Senior Brother, how can you slander my handsome face like that?" Marquis Chance sighed.
Watching Marquis Chance and Patriarch Water banter, Shui Jing realized it must be true.
Patriarch Water turned to Shui Jing and asked, "What's the deal—was that guy really so strong? Even you couldn't handle him?"
Shui Jing knew Patriarch Water was talking about Evan Yang. She snapped back, "He's not as simple as he looks. Even though he's a Profound-Immortal, his strength and speed are both very high. As for his attributes and treasures, I didn't test those."
"How did the Yang Clan produce someone like this?" Patriarch Water muttered.
Just then, a guard came in, looking a bit incredulous. "Patriarch, there's news."

"Oh? What news?" Patriarch Water asked curiously.
"The Yang Clan really did suddenly acknowledge a self-proclaimed son of Yang Lin named Evan Yang. He's terrifying—said to be dual-attribute. Years ago, he defeated a ninth-tier Profound-Immortal as a mere Heavenly-Immortal. In the Territory War Contest, not only was his strength impressive, he also broke formations and drove off the Devil Realm Emissary. The Immortal Realm Alliance values him highly and has invited him multiple times, but he refused. Lately, he's been seen elsewhere." The guard reported.
"A Heavenly-Immortal beat a ninth-tier Profound-Immortal? Broke formations? Dual attribute? Defeated the Devil Realm Emissary? Even the Immortal Realm Alliance is inviting him? Just what kind of power does this kid have?" Patriarch Water exclaimed in shock.
Marquis Chance hadn't expected Evan Yang to be so capable, but he knew Evan was far more than that. He added, "He also knows medical arts."
Shui Jing was stunned—she hadn't expected Evan Yang to be so formidable.
"And, in less than two hundred years, he's gone from first-tier Profound-Immortal straight to eighth-tier." The guard continued with secret intelligence.
Now the other three couldn't stay calm anymore.
"Two hundred years?? Who is he really? How can he cultivate so fast?" Patriarch Water exclaimed.
"Looks like he really does have a shot at first place. After all, the next tournament is still several hundred years away—he might even reach Immortal Lord by then. At that point, handling early Emperor-level opponents will be easy." Marquis Chance analyzed.
Shui Jing said, "So what? I'll definitely defeat him next time."
"Looks like he really has the ability to take first place." Patriarch Water mused. "Senior Brother, seems the Yang Clan has produced another remarkable talent." Marquis Chance said.
"That's right. Yang Lin was the Yang Clan's outstanding figure, but who would've thought his son would be even scarier—so young and already so powerful." Sometimes Patriarch Water really envied the Yang Clan.
"It probably has to do with their bloodline. There used to be a Flameblood, but right now the Yang Clan doesn't have a complete one. If they did, it'd be even scarier." Marquis Chance said.
"I really envy their Yang Clan." Patriarch Water sighed.
"Senior Brother, invite me to the next tournament. I want to see if that kid is really as formidable as they say." Marquis Chance said.
"Alright, got it." Patriarch Water replied.
"Dad, and you—my newly recognized Martial Uncle—stop talking about how amazing others are. I'm amazing too! There are still hundreds of years, and my cultivation method will definitely reach perfection. The Yang Clan is all about fire, right? We're water, so my technique will counter his perfectly." Shui Jing wasn't happy hearing all the praise for Evan Yang, so she spoke up.
"Alright, got it. Go do your thing—I have something to discuss with your Martial Uncle." Patriarch Water said.
Shui Jing had no choice but to leave, and the guard was called out too. Marquis Chance asked curiously, "What's up? You have something to say?" "Junior Brother, how's Master?" Patriarch Water suddenly asked. "Master? I'm afraid he's nearing the end—may not have much time left. I was sent down to tell you. He wants to see you one last time." Marquis Chance said. "Alright, understood. I'll get ready and go with you tomorrow." Patriarch Water replied.
Marquis Chance nodded. Meanwhile, Shui Jing felt frustrated and went to find Skyler Water.
Skyler Water smiled when he saw Shui Jing. "Sent him off?" "Yeah," Shui Jing replied.
"Why do you look so unhappy?" Skyler Water asked curiously.
"Bro, you have no idea—turns out that kid has all these abilities." Shui Jing said.
"What abilities?" Skyler Water asked curiously.
Shui Jing helplessly explained everything that happened today. After Skyler Water heard it, he looked shocked. "Is everything you said true?"
"Yeah, he almost completely suppressed me. I didn't even dare tell Dad, or he'd say I'm useless again." Shui Jing complained.
