Lynton Cloud knew things had reached this point, so he had no choice but to take out the two items: a letter and a sword-shaped jade pendant.
Before even looking at the letter, the elder frowned at the jade pendant and asked, "Where did this come from?"
"She was still young when I found her, and she always carried it with her," Lynton Cloud said.
"So you're saying she always carried this? In other words, this pendant belongs to her?" The elder pointed at Lynton Cloud and asked.
"That's right, exactly so," Lynton Cloud replied.
"Guards, seize them!" After Lynton Cloud confirmed, the elder immediately ordered those behind him. Several experts appeared and surrounded Evan Yang and the others.
Evan Yang and Lynton Cloud were both shocked; they hadn't expected things to turn out like this. But Evan remained calm—since they'd come here, he was determined to find a way to resolve it. He asked the elder, "Why are you doing this, Senior?"
"Why am I doing this? Never mind what's written in the letter—do you know what this jade pendant is?" the elder asked.
"No, I don't," Evan Yang replied.
Lynton Cloud also expressed his confusion.
"So that's why she was born with a Cloud inside her—turns out she's that bastard!" the elder suddenly cursed.
"Senior, I don't understand what you mean by that—please explain!" Evan Yang was confused; he didn't know why the elder was calling Tina Cloud a bastard.
"You really want to know? Then I'll tell you: she's the daughter of the previous Cloud and a woman from Cloud's End Palace! I always wondered why this child suddenly disappeared—turns out she ended up in your family." The elder snorted coldly.
Lynton Cloud was stunned. The previous Cloud was a notorious villain in Cloud's End Realm, and Tina Cloud turned out to be his daughter. Not only was Lynton Cloud shocked, Evan Yang was too. Evan asked, "Senior, the past belongs to the past. The present is the present. If someone's father killed people, does the daughter have to pay for it?"
Evan Yang's words made sense—should a daughter pay for her father's crimes? It seemed harsh, so everyone looked at the elder, waiting for his response.
The elder hated the previous Cloud to the bone—even his daughter was no exception. He sneered, "Kid, you've got guts. But do you know what happens when the Cloud grows strong and takes over her body? Disaster follows. Never mind her connection to the previous Cloud—right now, she's a dangerous person. I'm going to arrest her and execute her."
Evan Yang hadn't expected things to be even more complicated than he'd imagined. Lynton Cloud was dumbfounded—this was basically walking right into a trap. But he didn't blame Evan Yang; he knew Evan was trying to help them. He looked at Tina Cloud, tears of heartbreak in his eyes.
Seeing this, Evan Yang was deeply moved. Even though Tina Cloud wasn't Lynton Cloud's biological daughter, the feelings between them were real—something Evan hadn't expected. He knew that if he wanted to keep Tina alive, he'd have to be ready to fight against Cloud's End Palace.
"Senior, at least she hasn't fully become a Cloud yet. If Cloud's End Palace has no solution, I'll just take her away." Evan Yang said, then took Tina Cloud and told Lynton Cloud, "Let's go."
The people around were dumbfounded—Evan Yang was way too arrogant. The elder snorted, "Outrageous, kid! Do you think this is a place where you can come and go as you please?"
"I came to Cloud's End Palace to look for a solution. Now that you don't have one, I'm naturally going to leave," Evan Yang said.
"Hmph! Leave? No way. Everyone, attack!" The elder shouted angrily. The people around surged forward, ready to attack Evan Yang. Evan handed Tina Cloud to Lynton Cloud and said, "Take care of her. Leave these people to me."
As soon as he finished, Sacred Flame shot from Evan Yang's eyes, instantly wrapping everyone nearby in holy fire. Those touched by the flame hurried to escape—the heat was overwhelming. The elder saw this and exclaimed in anger and surprise, "You do have some strength. Let me deal with you myself."
The elder's hand instantly grew huge, forming a giant palm in midair that grabbed Evan Yang. Evan was shocked—the opponent had Immortal Sovereign strength, and the palm's force was immense. His Sacred Flame couldn't break free, so he had to endure the intense pain.
"Want to kill me? No way." Evan Yang snorted coldly, then blinked and vanished.
The elder, an Immortal Sovereign, was shocked—a mere Immortal Lord had escaped right under his nose. But Evan Yang hadn't actually fled; he'd just used the Pen to shift his position.
Evan Yang performed a short-range spatial jump, appearing behind the elder and striking with his palm. Everyone was stunned—a Immortal Lord against an Immortal Sovereign, yet the Lord had not only escaped but ended up behind the Sovereign.
The Sacred Flame touched the Immortal Sovereign. It didn't cause much harm, but left a glaring red mark. The elder was furious—being bullied by an Immortal Lord was humiliating. He grabbed Evan Yang in anger and said, "You, I'm going to kill you." "Kill me? Dream on." Evan Yang jumped again, vanishing from sight, infuriating the elder, who finally targeted Tina Cloud. Just as he was about to grab her, Evan blinked over, put Tina Cloud and Lynton Cloud into the Pen, and jumped away again.
But he still couldn't escape the elder's eyes. The moment Evan Yang appeared again, the elder spotted him instantly and grabbed him, saying, "Still trying to run?"
Evan Yang knew that activating the Pen took a bit of time—even for short jumps, it could be done quickly, but Immortal Sovereign power was far beyond what he could handle, so he was soon discovered.
But Evan Yang didn't admit defeat. He just smiled, "Even if you catch me like this, you still can't wipe me out."
"Do you think you're an Immortal Sovereign? Ridiculous," Elder Li snorted.
Just as Evan Yang was about to retreat again, a voice came from the sky: "Let him go."
The speaker was Mason Meng. Seeing him, Evan Yang immediately thought of the mysterious elder on the mountain. Elder Li, who was holding Evan, showed a curious look and wondered, "Why is he here?"
"Senior Li, my master is fated with him. He hopes you'll be generous and let him go," Mason Meng said.

Elder Li was shocked—the reclusive powerhouse who hadn't left the mountain in years had sent a message saying he was 'fated' with Evan Yang. Elder Li couldn't figure it out and was curious about Evan's connection to him. But no matter how angry Elder Li was, he had to give that elder face; otherwise, he'd suffer for it himself. So he said to Evan, "Consider yourself lucky. Get lost."
He released Evan Yang, who looked at Mason Meng and said, "Thanks for showing up at just the right time, Brother Meng."
"My master said, when you have time, you should handle that matter," Mason Meng said with a smile.
"Brother Meng, I'm afraid I can't. There's something urgent I need to take care of first," Evan Yang replied.
"Oh? What is it? Maybe I can help," Mason Meng asked.
"Does Cloud's End Palace have any way to remove a Cloud from someone who hasn't been fully taken over yet?" Evan Yang asked.
"Why are you asking?" Mason Meng was curious. The elder sneered, "Obviously he wants to save his little sweetheart."
Mason Meng didn't know what was going on, so he waited for Evan Yang's explanation. Evan said, "A friend of mine has had a Cloud inside her since childhood. Unfortunately, someone activated it, and now she's lost her mind."
"So that's how it is. Elder Li and the others are probably more skilled at this. Senior Li, can you help?" Mason Meng asked.
"There is a way: transfer it," Elder Li said with a smile.
"Transfer?" Mason Meng didn't know what that meant, and neither did Evan Yang. Elder Li continued, "Transfer means moving the Cloud from the girl's body into yours. But then you become the host. If things go wrong, you'll be controlled by the Cloud. If you're lucky, maybe you can seal it again inside yourself."
Evan Yang smiled after hearing the explanation. "So that's how it works. How do you transfer it? Please teach me, Senior."
Just moments ago, he was fighting Evan Yang, and now Evan wanted his help. Elder Li was unwilling, but he came up with a way to avoid trouble with the mountain elder. He said, "I can use a certain herb. You'll swallow it, then put your hand on the girl's forehead. The Cloud will enter your body. After that, it's up to you. If you're unlucky and get controlled, I'll have to kill you on the spot."
Evan Yang knew Elder Li was hoping to use this opportunity to get rid of him, but Evan wasn't afraid. Mason Meng, however, was worried—if Evan really got killed, it would be a big problem. He pondered, "Should we ask someone else for help?"
"No need, I'll do it myself," Evan Yang said.
Evan Yang insisted on going through with it. Mason Meng could only hope it would succeed. The elder looked at Evan and smiled, "Alright, let's go."
With everyone watching, the elder led Evan Yang away. Mason Meng followed, and Philip Hu came along too. They entered a cave, where the elder told Evan to bring out the girl. Evan brought out Tina Cloud and Lynton Cloud.
Seeing the elder and others, Lynton Cloud was shocked—he thought they were going to kill Tina Cloud and quickly shielded her.
Evan Yang said to Lynton Cloud, "Master Cloud, don't worry. They won't kill her."
When he saw they really weren't planning to kill Tina Cloud, Lynton Cloud stepped aside, though he didn't understand why. The elder asked Evan, "Are you ready?"
"I'm ready," Evan Yang said.
The elder took out a green pill and told Evan Yang to swallow it. Evan didn't hesitate, but most of it was absorbed by his own cultivation, leaving almost nothing.
Seeing this, Evan Yang said to the elder, "Senior, just give me the herb directly. This pill doesn't work for me."
"This pill is made from the herb, so what's not suitable? Kid, do you think my pills are candy? You eat one and want another?" the elder said, glaring.
