Evan Lin stood amid the rising water column, his entire body completely enveloped by the scalding hot spring from the spring eye below.
The top layer of the hot spring was pleasantly warm, just over thirty degrees, but as the water column surged higher, the scalding spring from the spring eye below erupted upward.
The temperature kept rising, and with it came an increasingly strong sulfurous scent.
The scent was slightly pungent, and the scorching water quickly flushed Evan Lin’s skin red.
“White Dragon Mountain, dragon raises its head, serpent coils its body—this kind of feng shui spot, though just a tiny makeshift formation, is still a decent place to temper the body.”
Evan Lin stood in the water, watching as the hot spring before him lost its initial clarity, gradually turning a murky yellow.
The temperature kept rising.
Originally, Evan Lin planned to refine some spiritual herbs to temper his body, but now, with herbs so scarce, there was no way to make the medicine.
At least the White Dragon Mountain hot spring, while not especially effective, still had some use.
Evan Lin raised his hand slightly, and the spring eye boiled over. The rising steam seeped into his skin, sending waves of warmth coursing through his body.
For ordinary people, this temperature would cook them to mush, but even though Evan Lin’s body felt as if it were burning in a thousand fires, he didn’t even frown.
Evan Lin gradually sat cross-legged in the scalding spring. By now, the water had turned a deep reddish yellow, and faint black impurities slowly oozed from his skin, then were washed away by the hot spring.
All this scalding spring water came from deep inside White Dragon Mountain, baked by underground lava. Every drop was deadly to ordinary people, full of sulfur compounds, but for Evan Lin, the sulfur was just a good medicine to cleanse his body.
After three hours, the spring’s temperature gradually dropped.
The sky-high water column crashed down with a roar, pouring back into the spring eye.
