Luna and Serena Frost walked over to Evan Chu. Looking at these two breathtakingly beautiful women, Evan felt a complicated mix of emotions—he couldn’t put it into words. Even though Serena’s face was covered by a veil, Evan was sure her beauty was no less than Luna’s.
“Evan, thank you for rescuing Ruolan. You’ve let us sisters reunite after tens of thousands of years. Now there are no more secrets in the Death-Tower Grounds—whatever you want, you can just ask Serena directly.” Luna said.
Evan glanced at Serena Frost and asked, “Was it you who taught Lillian Zhang her cultivation techniques? Are you her master?”
“You know Lillian? Yes, I taught her. But I only guided her through a God-Seal Stone, so I wouldn’t really call myself her master. I couldn’t leave this place, so I could only use the stone to pass on some basic cultivation methods. Still, her talent is extraordinary—she’s achieved so much in just over a decade. I’m truly proud of her.” Serena Frost said.
“So that’s how it is. In that case, are you willing to leave with us? Coming to the Death-Tower Grounds was worth it—the greatest reward is saving you. As for other treasures, I don’t really care.” Evan Chu smiled, secretly thinking Serena’s name sounded rather pleasant.
“Where would I go if I left here? My soul is still weak—it’ll take a long time to recover. Without Immortal Essence, I can’t even condense an Immortal Infant. I think I’ll just stay here. The Tri-Mystic Tower is my life-bound artifact—even if I wanted to give it to you, I couldn’t. If you really need something, I can offer you some high-level martial arts or rare immortal herbs.” Serena Frost replied.
Evan Chu couldn’t understand why, with all these immortal herbs and stones, there was no Immortal Essence here. But he didn’t ask—some questions are better left unspoken. Luna suddenly said, “No, you have to leave this place. I won’t let you keep suffering here. If you trust me, follow Evan. He has more secrets than anyone—if you need Immortal Essence, he can make it happen. The only question is, do you dare?”
“If I don’t trust you, who else could I trust? Does he have some kind of space treasure with Immortal Essence inside? Why don’t you go in yourself?” Serena Frost asked.
“That’s right. He carries an ancient divine artifact—the Timewheel Bracelet. It’s filled with dense Immortal Essence. His Nascent Soul is inside, and you can enter that world to cultivate. As for me, I want to help Evan get stronger, so I’m not going in. Besides, I don’t want to condense an Immortal Infant. I think you know what I mean.” Luna explained.
Serena Frost understood Luna’s meaning—she didn’t want to leave Evan Chu’s side. Women become truly troublesome once they fall for a man. “Alright, let’s head out then. But there are still many people trapped inside the Tri-Mystic Tower. It’s not so easy to deal with. Am I supposed to bring them all with me? I’m afraid I don’t have that kind of power right now.”
Evan Chu was startled and immediately asked, “If you retract the Tri-Mystic Tower, will all those people appear here? There are plenty of powerful experts inside—if they return to the Netherworld, it’ll be a bloodbath. The whole place will be thrown into chaos again!”
“They will reappear, but they won’t be able to leave the Death-Tower Grounds. The only reason I let Zander Xiang out before was because he helped Lillian Zhang. For her sake, I reluctantly let him go—even then, I doubt he made it out alive. So don’t worry.” Serena Frost replied.
Evan Chu relaxed a little after hearing that. If he returned to the Azure Tide Ruins, the Human King, Ghost Clan, and Netherkin would all be doomed if those experts escaped. That was the last thing he wanted—he had important friends in all three races. Lillian Zhang might never become his woman, but she was a true friend.
“If that’s settled, let’s head out. Once we’re outside, you’ll enter my Timewheel Bracelet—I’m sure you’ll love it there. Besides, I need your help managing the place. Relying on my Nascent Soul alone isn’t practical.” Evan Chu said.
Serena Frost waved her hand and a faint mist appeared. Evan Chu suddenly felt his body shift, and in the next instant, he was standing outside the tower with Luna and Serena Frost at his side. Glancing at the third tower, Evan asked, “What’s inside that third tower? Why don’t you live there—and what’s with the powerful barrier outside?”
“The third tower is filled with savage immortal beasts. Even the first floor’s beasts are far beyond your current strength. I had to seal it off—otherwise, everyone would rush there instead of collecting Immortal Tokens to save me. If you want to try your luck, I can let you in. But do you have the guts?” Serena Frost teased.
Evan Chu’s face darkened—she had to be joking. Facing immortal beasts at his current level was suicide. “I’ll pass on that. I’ve got plenty to do already. Go ahead and stow the Tri-Mystic Tower, then we’ll find a hidden spot for you to enter the Timewheel Bracelet.”
Just then, Luna spoke up: “I need to return as well. We’re no longer inside the Tri-Mystic Tower—my father could find me at any moment. Serena’s already told me how to leave the Death-Tower Grounds. Once she enters the Timewheel Bracelet, you should head out quickly. Oh, and I forgot to mention—you’ve already spent half a year in here. There’s only one month left before your appointment with Venerable Solus.”
“What? I’ve been here for half a year? How is that possible? It only felt like a few days! What’s going on?” Evan Chu exclaimed, utterly shocked by Luna’s words.
“The Tri-Mystic Tower is a special space, much like your Timewheel Bracelet. You’ll understand soon enough. Once your Timewheel Bracelet accumulates enough Immortal Essence, the same phenomenon will occur—except in reverse. One day outside could mean a year or more inside, depending on your strength.” Luna explained with a smile.
With that, Luna’s figure flashed and transformed into a silver sword, flying back into Evan Chu’s brow. Serena Frost, meanwhile, conjured a white light in her hand and began chanting. The three massive towers instantly shrank into a single exquisite tower just over a foot tall.
Evan Chu stared in amazement. “The tower’s so small now—what about all the people inside? Did they shrink too?”
“I’ve already moved them a thousand miles away. There’s no one here now, so you can let me enter your Timewheel Bracelet without worry.” Serena Frost said.
