Just Want to Sew His Father’s Mouth Shut
His gaze flickered between Lucia Lu and Luna Lian, a look of sudden realization on his face: "I get it! It must be because you made new friends, right?"
"Father Emperor, you must be really busy, right?" Sean Shaw said coldly.
"Not busy at all!" The Celestial Emperor kept going. "I knew it! Back when I told you to join the Divine Commanders’ Training Camp, you totally ignored me! But after you went to the Lumina Realm, you came back begging to join! So it’s all because you met new friends, huh? Hahaha..."
Right now, Sean just wanted to zip his dad’s lips shut.
Just yesterday, he’d told Lucia that his father had forced him to come...
"Um, Lucia, you—"
The Celestial Emperor was about to say more, but Sean grabbed him and dragged him away: "Didn’t you say you needed my help preparing lessons? Let’s go!"
No matter what, he hauled his dad off.
The Celestial Emperor glanced back and winked at Lucia Lu.
Lucia Lu shook her head with an amused smile. "I never expected the Celestial Emperor to be so funny."
Adrian Drake chuckled, "He’s always like that."
"It seems he treats the Fifth Highness really well," Luna Lian said.
"Yeah! In the whole Celestial Palace, only the Celestial Emperor is good to him," Adrian sighed.
"The Fifth Highness’s mother... Where did she go?" Lucia Lu asked curiously.
"No idea! Outsiders don’t know the details," Adrian replied.
......
The next day, formal classes began.
Seventy-seven people, two to a desk, sat in the spacious, sunlit Instruction Hall.
It didn’t feel like joining the army at all.
It felt more like going back to childhood school days.
Everyone was a little excited.
But when they saw the two thick stacks of books on each desk, all that excitement vanished.
Adrian and Sean sat front and center in the first row.
Lucia and Luna sat right behind them.
Ryan Lu sat in the third row, and Jumin Jing insisted on sitting with him.
Ryan wasn’t a fan of him either, but since Jumin was his cousin, he couldn’t just kick him out in front of everyone.
The Celestial Emperor strolled in with a big smile, and everyone stood up to greet him.
He told everyone to sit, looking pleased. "Wow! Not a single person was late! Clearly, you all love studying military strategy!"
Everyone was silently roasting him in their heads.
Nobody actually likes studying.
It’s just that you’re the Celestial Emperor—no one dares be late.
"Sitting here in this bright, beautiful Instruction Hall, doesn’t it feel like you’re back in school as a kid?"
Everyone agreed.
"Alright, let’s get started!
Honestly, military strategy started with humans.
Us gods just used brute force and cultivation—there was no such thing as ‘strategy.’
It was only after we learned from humans that the gods developed their own system," the Celestial Emperor explained.
"So, to study strategy, we have to start from the very beginning." He pointed at the books on their desks. "Those twenty volumes are the finest military manuals from the human world! Now, pick up the one on top."
The top book was The Art of War.
"Open to the first page."
Everyone turned to the first page.
"Now, read with me. Sun Tzu said: ‘War is a matter of vital importance to the state; the province of life or death; the road to survival or ruin. It is mandatory that it be thoroughly studied.’"
Everyone recited: "Sun Tzu said: ‘War is a matter of vital importance to the state; the province of life or death; the road to survival or ruin. It is mandatory that it be thoroughly studied.’"
Then the Celestial Emperor asked, "How does it feel?"
Everyone stared at him.
