Victor Su’s Eldest Son

2/14/2026

Victor Su!

Hearing Evan Lin’s words, not only did the manager and his group’s expressions change, but even Selina Shi, standing nearby, couldn’t help her eyelid twitching.

She shot a sidelong glance at Evan Lin, slouched on the sofa, feeling a bit helpless inside.

"Isn’t he bragging a little too hard? How could Victor Su possibly know him?"

Selina sighed inwardly.

Victor Su is a legendary figure in Jinnan—how could he have any real connection with a kid not even twenty?

Besides, others might not know, but Selina was well aware that Evan Lin came from Whitewood County, his mother was just a primary school teacher, and he had absolutely no family background to speak of.

Even so, Selina couldn’t help but admire Evan Lin’s guts. To say something so unbelievable at an event like this takes some serious nerve.

"You dare call Old Man Su by name? Are you crazy? Who let this lunatic in!" The manager’s anger flared as he strode up to Evan Lin.

"He’s my friend."

Selina Shi reached out, blocking his way.

"Miss Shi, I know you’re kind-hearted and don’t want to see this kid embarrassed. But honestly, what kind of status could he possibly have to be your friend? Don’t worry—I won’t make things hard for him, I’ll just kick him out. I promise not to hurt him!"

Seeing Selina, the manager’s expression relaxed as he made his solemn promise.

Then he glared fiercely at Evan Lin: "Still sitting there? Get up already! Or do you want me to drag you out myself?"

"Tsk tsk, they’re literally throwing you out and you still won’t leave. That’s some thick skin." A woman crossed her arms, full of contempt.

"He’s got nerves, alright. Came here just to mooch food and drinks. With all the fancy stuff here, he probably never had a chance to taste anything like it in his whole life!" Another woman sneered, deliberately stepping back as if afraid of catching Evan’s 'poor person smell.'

Kai Chen wore a cold sneer, while Eric Yu looked utterly pleased.

To them, Evan Lin was nothing but an eyesore, a thorn in their side they wished they could yank out on the spot.

Nearby, a group of wealthy ladies who’d been chatting about luxury bags and jewelry noticed the commotion and came over, just in time to hear the manager’s words.

Among them was Helen Qi, who’d been verbally slapped down by Evan Lin at dinner last night.

When she saw Evan Lin, her face instantly turned cold: "So you’re the one causing all this trouble."

"Last night you were mouthing off at the table with zero manners. And now you show up here to freeload? You really are shameless!"

Helen Qi said, dripping with sarcasm.

The other women, all in their thirties and forties, watched Evan Lin with amused, slightly predatory eyes.

Everyone was talking at once, spittle flying everywhere.

Helen Qi had been thoroughly embarrassed by Evan Lin last night and was itching for a chance to vent.

She started telling the others, "I saw this kid last night—he only wears clothes other people throw away. I don’t even know where his family’s from, but they’re dirt poor!"

"Honestly, I felt sorry for you yesterday and didn’t stoop to your level. So how did you even get in here today? Did you follow our convoy over? That’s the only way you could’ve found this place!"

The women around her all laughed, their smiles full of meaning.

Helen Qi, feeling triumphant, turned to the manager: "Why are you letting him stay? If the Lin family elders or Old Man Su see a random stranger here, they’ll be furious! Can you handle Old Man Su’s wrath?"

"Yes, yes! I’ll make him leave right away!" The manager was sweating all over. Seeing Evan Lin unmoved, his anger finally boiled over. "Are you getting up or not? Get out, now! If you don’t, don’t blame me for getting rough! I don’t want this to blow up!"

"I already told you—if you want me gone, go ask Victor Su if he’s willing to nod." Evan Lin sneered, crossing his legs.

Everyone else was standing, but Evan Lin was the only one sitting.

The manager heard this and couldn’t hide his embarrassment.

Just as he was about to say something, a man suddenly walked in through the main hall doors.

The man was in his forties, broad-shouldered, with an especially stern expression and a distinct iron-blooded military aura.

He wore a military uniform and boots, striding in with the force of a tiger.

Inside the hall, many people turned to look at him.

Quite a few young heiresses seemed very interested in him.

"No wonder he’s Eldest Brother Su—he’s way more imposing than Second Brother Su." Someone said admiringly.

"Eldest Brother Su is a real soldier. Second Brother Su’s impressive too, but he’s still kind of a jack-of-all-trades. It’s not the same." Another explained quietly.

Eldest Brother Su walked through the hall, followed by a guard. Whenever someone tried to greet him, he kept a stern face but nodded slightly as a gesture.

But people had heard about his recent troubles and knew he was in a bad mood, so most didn’t approach, afraid of getting on his bad side.

Eldest Brother Su was heading to see Victor Su, but after a few steps he noticed the commotion and walked straight over.

"What’s going on here?"

Eldest Brother Su looked at the manager, frowning, his voice deep and his presence overwhelming.

"It’s… nothing serious, just someone crashing the birthday banquet and freeloading. I was about to kick him out." The manager straightened up, looking awkward.

Eldest Brother Su was famous for being strict, which made the manager uneasy.

"Freeloading?" Eldest Brother Su raised an eyebrow, his eagle-like gaze landing on the boy sitting on the sofa.

Seeing Evan Lin sitting there, totally unfazed and meeting his eyes without fear, Eldest Brother Su felt a bit surprised.

"This kid isn’t just freeloading—he even called Old Man Su by name! He said if you want him to leave, Old Man Su has to personally give the order!"

Eric Yu took the chance to shout this out.

Hearing this, Eldest Brother Su’s face instantly darkened.
