Ending Part Two

12/2/2025

Jenna Huang was still trying to figure out what had just happened, completely ignoring whatever he was saying. She simply found him too noisy, so she stomped on his foot—finally, the world was quiet again!

The man lying on the ground at this moment was none other than the pretty boy Damien Gray had mentioned—Ian Lu!

He had originally come to assassinate Quentin Hua, but the one who hurt him was Roxy Shangguan.

Ridiculous! Was Roxy Shangguan's man someone others could harm so easily?

Ian Lu’s murderous gaze landed on Quentin Hua, wishing he could tear him apart. But Roxy Shangguan's attack had been merciless; right now, he couldn't even stand.

Roxy Shangguan had already removed her bridal veil, coldly glaring at Ian Lu. She snorted, "Ian Lu! How dare you!"

Luna Ying had already thought Ian Lu looked familiar. Now, hearing Roxy Shangguan's words, she finally recognized him and stared in shock. "Ian, why did you try to kill the Sect Master?"

Ian Lu glanced at her, feeling grateful toward Luna Ying, then turned to Quentin Hua, his face full of murderous intent. "I must avenge my adoptive father!"

"Adoptive father?" Luna Ying, of course, had no idea who his adoptive father was.

Prince Ethan spoke coldly, "His adoptive father is Ignatius Yan! Recently, a new sect called the Inferno Sect has appeared!" Needless to say, this Inferno Sect was definitely connected to Ian Lu.

Roxy Shangguan and Quentin Hua exchanged glances, both surprised. They hadn’t expected Hayden Lu to be Yantian’s adopted son. It seemed that after he left the mountain, Yantian took him in!

Quentin Hua could never simply ignore a romantic rival, so when Ethan Gu and Maxwell Jing left Hayden Lu behind, he thought seriously about it and remembered the brat who once tried to steal Roxy from him. Thanks to him, Roxy Shangguan also recalled that little boy she had nearly forgotten.

Back when the Yantian Sect was destroyed, Hayden Lu barely escaped with his life. He trained hard, determined to avenge Yantian. The moment he left the mountain, he was robbed of all his silver and nearly killed—his adoptive father saved him. His father died mysteriously, and Hayden swore to take revenge no matter what!

Yingyue glared at him and said, "Hayden, how could you kill the Sect Master? If it weren’t for the Sect Master’s protection..." If not for the shelter of the Lotus Sect, he might never have been born. Though the Sect Master had never known of his existence, the Lotus Sect had protected him and his mother for years. Without that, his mother, pregnant out of wedlock, would have been drowned in a pig cage. Didn’t he understand even that?

But Hayden Lu didn’t listen to her. In the Lotus Sect, his life had been worse than a dog’s. Later, Quentin Hua had even driven him down the mountain. He didn’t feel he owed Quentin anything. Though he hadn’t spent long with his adoptive father, he always remembered the kindness shown to him!

Maxwell Jing twirled his folding fan, circled Hayden, and shook his head. "Kid, you really chose now to take revenge? How many people here do you think you can beat?"

Hayden Lu snorted coldly, glaring at Quentin Hua. It wasn’t that he chose this moment for revenge—he knew everyone here was a master—but he couldn’t let Roxy Shangguan marry someone else!

He never planned to leave the mountain alive. That’s why he came alone—he didn’t want to drag the Yantian Sect into this!

Morgan Shangguan gave a cold snort, looked at Hayden Lu, and said with a laugh, "How selfish! You kill Quentin Hua, you’ll die too. What about Roxy? You’d leave her alone in this world to suffer for a lifetime—is that your idea of love? How could Roxy ever choose someone like you?"

Hayden Lu clenched his fists at her words, glaring at Morgan Shangguan, wanting to argue back. But seeing the faint mockery in her eyes, he couldn’t utter a word. All he’d thought about was stopping Roxy from marrying someone else, never considering how she’d feel if Quentin Hua died.

Evelyn Xi could no longer hold back. She leapt out from behind the crowd, her voice ringing with fury, "You dare lay a hand on my little apprentice’s grandchild? You must have a death wish!"

Seeing Evelyn Xi and Skyler Xuan appear, Maxwell Jing felt a wave of pity for Lucien Hao. He and Ethan Gu knew exactly who these two were. Falling into their hands meant suffering not just physically—if they were in a bad mood, they might just send him straight to the eighteenth level of hell!

Honestly, after being thrown down the mountain, why not just leave quietly? Why come back and try to kill Roxy Hua? Doesn't he know that little demon is nowhere near that easy to kill? Ever heard the saying, 'Trouble lives a thousand years'?

Evelyn Xi grabbed Lucien Hao by the collar and said to Roxanne Shangguan, "Let your grandmaster teach him a lesson. You all carry on!" With that, she swept over everyone’s heads and exited the hall, Skyler Xuan hurrying after her.

With the commotion over, the wedding resumed. After the couple bowed to each other, the groom and bride were finally escorted to the bridal chamber. Everyone began to feast and drink. When the groom reappeared, Maxwell Jing was the first to approach, determined to get him drunk. Magnus Gong, always eager for chaos, shot him an encouraging look and then loudly announced, "Whoever can get the groom drunk today, next time you seek help from the Ghost Sect, you’ll get a twenty percent discount!"

"Pfft..." Magnus Chen was unlucky enough to spray wine from his mouth, glaring at Magnus Gong. Did he want to make things even busier for him?

The Ghost Sect’s fees had always been high, yet business was still booming. Magnus Gong’s mention of a twenty percent discount would surely bring in even more tasks. That would be fine, except now there’d be more work for less pay. He really was speaking without thinking—did he honestly believe the work wasn’t exhausting?

Magnus Gong raised an eyebrow at him and said in a gentle voice, "Demon Lord, everyone’s waiting for your approval!"

Magnus Chen gritted his teeth, nodded coldly, and reluctantly agreed. He might not be the most filial son, but he certainly wasn’t going to embarrass his father in front of so many people!

The four Hall Masters of the Ghost Sect watched the father and son’s exchange, sighing to themselves—old ginger is still spicier! The Demon Lord had been acting sect master since he was one, and officially took over at two. In all these years, they’d never seen him so flustered, nor anyone dare to step on his toes before!

Then, the four Hall Masters suddenly realized—with all this extra business, they’d probably end up working harder than the sect master himself!

Mo Shangguan shot Magnus Gong a warning glance. No matter what, he was still her son—couldn’t he show a little restraint?
