He’s Here

2/14/2026

Yara Song turned pale with fright and rushed to grab a towel, pressing it against his forehead to help stop the bleeding.

"Now that everyone's down, is there anyone else who wants to step up?"

Evan Lin glanced around the room and spoke.

Just moments ago, the crowd was full of chatter and sneers, eager for drama. Now, each person shrank back, pretending they had no idea what was happening.

Are you kidding?

From start to finish, nobody actually saw how this young man made his moves.

Yet somehow, Master Liang and his crew were already completely floored.

If this isn't a real master, then what is?

This guy's skills are way beyond anything you see in the movies!

"Hey, little brother! Little brother!"

Director Gavin Yu stepped forward, plastering a big smile on his face as he rubbed his hands. "Ah, little brother, just now was all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding."

"So, are you interested in starring in my movie?"

As soon as Gavin Yu spoke, everyone around was completely stunned.

Even Leon Yuan and Mia Miao were shocked.

Hiring an unknown actor for a film is one thing, but inviting someone who’s never acted, just met, and hasn’t even auditioned? That’s just playing around.

Especially when it’s a director like Gavin Yu, who comes with built-in fans and traffic.

His movies are basically star-making factories for newbies.

If this kid really took the role, he’d no doubt become the hottest topic in the industry for a while.

He’d have a bright future ahead.

Many people looked on with envy in their eyes.

Yara Song's heart skipped a beat, her expression shifting slightly.

Her gaze toward Evan Lin was complicated, flickering several times. She was already reconsidering her relationship with him.

Honestly, if you think about it...

If this kid took Gavin Yu’s movie and lucked out, he might reach Yara Song’s level in record time.

That would make him worth befriending.

Yara was still thinking.

"Not interested."

Evan Lin shook his head, his decisive refusal making Gavin Yu freeze.

Yara Song was also startled.

As for the others, Zhou Kai and his crew stared at Evan like they'd seen a ghost.

"This is a really great opportunity..."

Gavin Yu tried to keep talking.

"Not interested."

Evan Lin pulled Leon Yuan, who was standing beside him. "You want to act? He's interested."

"Talk to him."

After dropping those two lines, Evan turned and went to find a place to sit and rest.

"You..."

Gavin Yu looked at Leon Yuan and nodded. "Alright, contact me when you have time. I'll send you the script."

The role was settled.

"Thank you, Director!"

Leon Yuan’s face was full of joy—he’d gone from hell to heaven in an instant.

Meanwhile, Evan Lin had already found another sofa to sit down on.

"Uh... so..."

Gavin Yu walked over, rubbing his hands, looking at Evan Lin. He didn’t seem like a director anymore—more like a street vendor about to haggle.

"I promised before—if you beat Master Liang, I’d give Leon Yuan a role. Now I’ve kept my word."

As he spoke, Gavin Yu’s eyes shifted. "So, can I make a little request too?"

A little request?

Evan Lin looked at him and nodded. "Go ahead."

"Could you be our movie’s action director?"

Gavin Yu made the invitation—it was no small deal.

"No time, no availability, no interest."

Evan Lin shook his head, rejecting as decisively as ever.

"That won't do."

Gavin Yu started playing hardball. Right now, he looked at Evan like he’d found a treasure.

This kid was honestly a genius!

A real martial arts master!

Letting him go so easily just didn’t sit right with Gavin Yu.

Plenty of people were still hanging around, watching.

Yara Song was supporting Victor Wu, who’d smashed two bottles for dignity and face. Lily Tan and Zhou Kai dragged the unconscious Master Liang over from the floor.

Master Liang’s head was still stuck in a stool.

He was already unconscious, but that didn’t stop Master Liang from being used as Zhou Kai’s bargaining chip to join Gavin Yu’s crew.

No matter how humiliating today was for Master Liang, in the industry, people still had to give him face.

So Zhou Kai could still rely on Master Liang to get into the crew.

Just... maybe not as much as before.

"I promised you a role for Leon Yuan, but I never said what kind of role."

Gavin Yu spread his hands, looking like a streetwise hustler. "Lead actor is a role, second lead is a role, and even background extras are roles too."

Hearing that, Leon Yuan’s excitement instantly turned awkward.

Mia Miao was getting anxious too.

"Besides, even if Master Liang got beat down by you, when it comes to action choreography, his experience is second to none."

"So, if you won’t join our crew as kung fu director, I’m afraid the lead role is still more suitable for Zhou Kai."

Gavin Yu got straight to the point.

He didn’t bother hiding his aggressive intent.

Gavin Yu had just seen this kid stand up for Leon Yuan, so he assumed they were close.

Over there, Leon Yuan was forcing a bitter smile, and Mia Miao was anxious and flustered.

Zhou Kai grinned smugly, and Lily Tan clenched her fists in excitement.

"Leon Yuan and I aren’t close."

Evan Lin glanced at Gavin Yu, who thought he'd found the key, and spoke calmly: "We’ve only known each other for less than half a day."

"You’re trying to bargain with me using Leon Yuan’s future? Isn’t that a bit dumb?"

Evan looked at Gavin Yu, whose smile stiffened, his face twitching.

He was completely surprised, as if he’d just heard something impossible.

"Wait, that’s not right?"

This wasn’t the outcome Gavin Yu had expected at all.

When Gavin Yu looked at Leon Yuan and Mia Miao, he realized that, awkward as they were, neither of them intended to beg this boy for help.

Had they really just met?

Gavin Yu was still thinking.

Evan Lin didn’t say anything more.

Leon Yuan was anxious, and so was Mia Miao.

But they knew that Evan Lin had already done them a huge favor by teaching Master Liang and his crew a lesson.

If Evan didn’t want to join the crew as action director, and Leon lost his shot at the lead role, neither of them would complain.

They wouldn’t blame Evan, nor would they beg him for help.

That would be moral blackmail.

Gavin Yu sat awkwardly, feeling like he was sitting on pins and needles.

The atmosphere was tense.

"Sorry, Leon, looks like I won in the end."

Zhou Kai finally relaxed and looked at Leon Yuan, grinning like a winner.

"Of course! We managed to bring in Master Liang, after all!"

Lily Tan stood nearby, full of pride. As she spoke, she glanced at the unconscious Master Liang.

Yara Song stood there, thinking about what to say next.

Just then...

Ding!

The elevator doors opened.

As the doors opened, people looked over. Seeing who was inside, they immediately plastered on smiles.

Zixuan Tong!
