John Chou sprang to his feet. Instantly, Ravenous Spirit lunged at him, claws outstretched, roaring furiously as it opened its bloody maw to bite him.
With a bang, John Chou raised both hands and clamped Ravenous Spirit's jaws shut.
"You're pretty strong," John Chou remarked, but his expression changed—the Ravenous Spirit faded from sight.
As Mr. Brown spoke, he suddenly yanked the chain in his hand. The heads surrounding John Chou vanished, Ravenous Spirit returned to Mr. Brown's side, and he smiled as the chain slowly retracted into his own body. Ravenous Spirit disappeared.
"Qingyuan, something is about to come out."
"There are two more beasts like this: one from the Human Realm, one from the Hell Realm."
"It can even evade John Chou's Specter Web—impressive."
"Young master, you can handle the ones from the Human Realm and Hungry Ghost Realm, but the beast from the Hell Realm is extremely dangerous. I wouldn't dare release it lightly. With your current strength, you could be in serious trouble."
"For a beast, it's not bad, ha..." John Chou shouted. The splattered blood transformed into blood strands that pierced Ravenous Spirit, making it howl in agony.
The blood strands shot through Ravenous Spirit's body, leaving it riddled with holes.
With a tearing sound, the Spirit Veil shattered. The fragments seemed to move on their own, drifting toward the beast. Rachel Lan staggered, looking weak, and I quickly supported her.
"Qingyuan, my Netherhell only allows one entry per month. You can't go in again."
A chorus of whimpers and gnawing sounds erupted. A burst of red light exploded around John Chou, and a crimson ring blasted all the Hungry Ghost heads away from him.
"Mr. Brown, is this what you got from the Sanzu Force?"
In a flash of red light, John Chou appeared behind Ravenous Spirit. With a bang, crimson lines split across the beast's body, and Ravenous Spirit exploded into chunks of gray flesh.
Another deafening roar erupted. The head that had just been severed grew even larger, its bloody maw opening wide as John Chou found himself inside its mouth.
With a bang, Ravenous Spirit's teeth shattered completely, as if biting into solid steel.
John Chou smiled with satisfaction as the entrance to Netherhell vanished.
I couldn't help but laugh, and Rachel Lan pinched me hard.
"Hmph, it's just a beast." As he spoke, a sword pierced the beast's head. With a bang, red light burst in the sky as Ravenous Spirit's head exploded.
"It's not just strong, young master."
With a swish, a blood-red longsword appeared in John Chou's hand, which he swung behind him.
Ravenous Spirit reappeared, crouching and dodging John Chou's sword strike.
"It can even evade John Chou's Specter Web—impressive."
Yuna Ji muttered to herself. With a crash, Ravenous Spirit sank its teeth into John Chou's shoulder, shoving him backward as blood spattered.
"For a beast, it's not bad, ha..." John Chou shouted. The splattered blood transformed into blood strands that pierced Ravenous Spirit, making it howl in agony.
The blood strands shot through Ravenous Spirit's body, leaving it riddled with holes.
"Young master, don't let your guard down," Mr. Brown warned.
As Mr. Brown spoke, I saw Ravenous Spirit's body begin to change. The head biting John Chou was severed, but suddenly, more Hungry Ghost heads emerged from Ravenous Spirit's body, stretching their necks to bite John Chou.
A chorus of whimpers and gnawing sounds erupted. A burst of red light exploded around John Chou, and a crimson ring blasted all the Hungry Ghost heads away from him.
Suddenly, I saw John Chou's blood flowing like burning flames, his eyes turning blood-red.
I saw layers of crystal-like red material cover John Chou's body. He grabbed Ravenous Spirit's head and kicked it into the air.
With a bang, the crystal-like red material shattered, turning into wisps of red dust as John Chou became a flash of red light.
"Hmph, it's just a beast." As he spoke, a sword pierced the beast's head. With a bang, red light burst in the sky as Ravenous Spirit's head exploded.

At that moment, all around John Chou, countless Hungry Ghost heads appeared, crisscrossing and lunging to bite him.
"Young master, this thing can't be killed," Mr. Brown said.
As Mr. Brown spoke, he suddenly yanked the chain in his hand. The heads surrounding John Chou vanished, Ravenous Spirit returned to Mr. Brown's side, and he smiled as the chain slowly retracted into his own body. Ravenous Spirit disappeared.
John Chou slowly descended and sat in front of Mr. Brown.
"There are two more beasts like this: one from the Human Realm, one from the Hell Realm."
Mr. Brown nodded.
"Young master, you can handle the ones from the Human Realm and Hungry Ghost Realm, but the beast from the Hell Realm is extremely dangerous. I wouldn't dare release it lightly. With your current strength, you could be in serious trouble."
John Chou smiled, then with a whoosh, floated over to Yuna Ji.
"Let's go, you wretch. We're going home."
"Don't! I..." John Chou glared at her, but then Yuna Ji opened Netherhell. Rachel Lan and I tried to follow, but Yuna Ji stopped us.
"Qingyuan, my Netherhell only allows one entry per month. You can't go in again."
I let out a cry as Yuna Ji and John Chou stepped inside. Mr. Brown came to the entrance and spoke respectfully.
"Young master, Madam Ji, take care."
John Chou smiled and turned to look at Mr. Brown.
"Mr. Brown, let me ask you something today. If I run into big trouble, then..."
"I'll risk my life to protect you, young master. That's how it's always been, and how it will always be. But if you want to cause trouble, don't drag me into it again. These old bones can't handle your antics."
John Chou smiled with satisfaction as the entrance to Netherhell vanished.
I stared at Mr. Brown in surprise. He shook his head and laughed heartily.
Gradually, the surroundings reverted to their original scenery, and we stood before the small house.
Suddenly, Mr. Brown's smile vanished and his expression darkened.
"Guest, since you've come, don't hide. If you don't show yourself, I won't be so polite."
Rachel Lan and I exchanged glances, scanning our surroundings.
With a chime, like a bell ringing, a Red Spider Lily appeared before Mr. Brown. Instantly, I saw his angry face turn to surprise, tinged with sorrow and regret.
"Mr. Brown, you saw through me, after all." It was Yi Xuehan. She appeared and bowed to Mr. Brown.
"Li..."
I walked over. Mr. Brown had just started to say something, but quickly stopped and changed his words.
"Young lady, what brings you to me?"
"You know each other?" I asked.
But Yi Xuehan just stared coldly at Mr. Brown, saying nothing. He lowered his head.
"Mr. Brown, are you planning to help John Chou? I'll keep this brief—no matter what ties you have, please stop interfering with him. Haven't you had enough, Mr. Brown?"
"Sigh, young lady, I know. The young master likes to stir up trouble, and there's nothing I can do. You saw it yourself—his cunning. A century ago, he already sensed I'd gotten the Sanzu Beast from the Sanzu Force..."
"Mr. Brown, I hope you'll listen to me. It's dangerous. John Chou has already set a Blue Wraith to cultivate the Sixfold Bloom. Once that's grown, if you help him, he'll be able to open the Sanzu..."
"Young lady, it's not as simple as you think. To open the Sanzu, you still need one more thing..." Mr. Brown said, then suddenly looked at me. Yi Xuehan did too.
I cried out, confused, as they both nodded and smiled, as if sharing a secret.
