Terry Yang and the others had no idea what Evan Yang was planning. Just as they were about to make their move, a crowd of powerful experts suddenly appeared all around them—every one of them from the Devil Realm. Seeing six Immortal Realm cultivators attacking a Devil Realm native, the newcomers were furious.
These were the local Devil Realm patrol squads, all of them strong. They’d sensed Immortal Essence just moments before, so they rushed over. When they saw a group of Immortal Realm cultivators, they didn’t bother to ask who they were—right away, one of them called out to Evan, "Brother, don’t be afraid! We’re here to help you!"
Evan Yang put on a grateful face and said, "Thank you." But inside, he was laughing—"This is going to hurt." He’d used Clara’s conversion stone to turn his aura into demonic qi; nobody could tell he was from the Immortal Realm.
As for Terry Yang and his group, they had no clue what was happening—they were instantly chased down by the Devil Realm experts. All Terry could do was curse as he fled, "Evan Yang, you’re despicable! How dare you collude with Devils!"
“Collude? Ridiculous.” Evan sneered inwardly. In just a few moments, the six had already vanished, chased off by the Devil Realm patrols. Evan glanced around—only he was left. He released Selena Water from his pocket domain.
Selena Water was curious about Evan’s pocket domain. When she emerged and saw the six gone, while Evan looked completely unscathed, she asked suspiciously, "What exactly happened?"
Evan smiled and described what had just happened. When Selena finished listening, she was incredulous. "They really got chased off?" "Yep, no idea where they’ve gone now," Evan replied with a grin.
"You really have tricks up your sleeve. I thought those six were about to gang up on you and you’d be done for," Selena said.
"Me? Done for? That’s a long way off," Evan said confidently.
"Alright, alright, you narcissist. So what do we do now?" Selena asked. With six of the eight gone in an instant, she wasn’t sure how to continue.
"Just wait. The Alliance Leader said the contact would come, so they probably will," Evan said.
Selena nodded, so the two of them sat on the mountaintop and waited.
Two hours later, someone finally arrived. When Evan saw who it was, his face showed surprise. As the figure drew closer, he blurted, "It’s you!"
"That’s right, we meet again," the newcomer said with a smile.
It was none other than Clara Snow from the Devil Realm. She was the one who’d helped Evan move freely in the Devil Realm and given him the conversion stone. Now seeing her as their contact, Evan was surprised—could Clara have been recruited by the Immortal Realm Alliance?
"Who exactly are you?" Evan asked, curious.
"I’m just like you—an Immortal Realm cultivator, stationed here for a while," Clara replied with a smile.
"You’re from the Immortal Realm too?" Evan was a bit surprised.
"That’s right. What, is there a problem?" Clara laughed.
Evan paused, then smiled. "No, not really. Just a bit surprised, that’s all."
"Glad we get to fight side by side again," Clara said with a smile.
"Me too," Evan replied, smiling.
Selena didn’t understand what the two were talking about. Clara glanced around, looking puzzled. "Weren’t there supposed to be eight of you? Why are there only two?"
"The other six refused to listen to me, so they got what was coming to them," Evan said.
"Got what was coming to them? What happened?" Clara asked, surprised.
Evan explained what had happened. When Clara heard how he’d tricked them, she wasn’t sure whether to laugh or sigh. "You really are something," she said.
"Well, they brought it on themselves. If they suffer now, it’s not my fault," Evan said with a grin.
Clara took out a stone identical to Evan’s and handed it to Selena. Then she said to both of them, "Since things turned out this way, let’s not wait for the others. We’ll move on when there’s news about them."
"Right. Any idea where the Sky-Flooding Demon Sovereign is?" Evan asked.
"Of course—at Demon Mountain," Clara replied.
