Chapter 742: Unihorn Six-Tailed Fox

Its single horn amplifies its magical prowess, allowing it to unleash the most devastating attack. Legend has it that in the Elder Age, the only Unihorn Nine-Tailed Fox once wounded a God-Demon with its horn!

Although that Unihorn Nine-Tailed Fox was ultimately crushed with a single blow by the God-Demon, its strength was undeniable. For anyone other than the gods and demons to injure a God-Demon—even to merely scratch one—was an unfathomable feat.

The last creature, the Rock Giant, is perhaps the most infuriating of all. This brute is practically unkillable—its body is made entirely of stone, and it grows stronger by devouring more rocks. It has no real weakness. Even if shattered, as long as a single fragment remains, it will quickly recover. Smash it to dust, and it still won’t die.

The reappearance of these three races, long thought lost to history, could only mean one thing: this was the King's Coliseum!

And according to the rules of the King's Coliseum, the strength of Leon and his group meant that their first match would be against these three terrifying thirty-eighth rank magical beasts—each one a rare species, each one a king among its kind.

It seemed they’d been locked away for ages. When the three beasts emerged, they roared furiously, then fixed their gaze on Leon and his companions.

The Golden Behemoth rose to its feet, pounding its chest with all four arms, then bared its teeth and charged straight at Leon’s group.

The thunderous rumble was deafening. As the beast barreled toward them, it was like a mountain collapsing.

Leon raised his Dragonstaff, and as he uttered a note, three streaks of blue fire—each trailing a long tail—appeared in the sky.

The massive fire blast struck the Golden Behemoth, erupting in a violent explosion. The beast merely brushed the flames aside with a single hand, its pace slowing only slightly. Not a scratch marred its body; its golden fur shimmered, untouched, not even a mark left behind.

Seth shuddered and exclaimed, "Such powerful spell resistance!"

Leon’s expression darkened. He barked, "Suppress its magic. Hit it with focused single-target spells, and keep your distance. Our shields might as well be paper against this brute."

The Battlemage Golem and Anderson unleashed torrents of magic, endless spells of all four elements merging into a flood that crashed against the Golden Behemoth.

The immense force drove the Golden Behemoth to roar in fury, but for the moment, it couldn’t get any closer.

In close combat, the Golden Behemoth was unstoppable—its claws over a meter long could tear a dragon apart. But its weakness was obvious: it couldn’t cast a single spell. As long as you kept your distance, you were safe.

But this creature’s spell resistance was terrifying, even stronger than a dragon’s. Low-level spells couldn’t even damage its fur.

The Golden Behemoth was held at bay for now, but the other two monsters began to move.

The Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox was petite, but its speed was monstrous. A single stride and it appeared ten meters away, as if it could cast unlimited Flame Blink.

Its six tails swayed gently, and in an instant, countless spells of every element rained down like a storm.

Flame, frost, poisonfire, raging winds, boulders, thunder...

Countless spells collided and fused, forming a terrifying magical storm that swept across the battlefield. In midair, it looked like an apocalyptic wave of destruction crashing down on Leon and his companions.

Reina, Elsa, and Seth frantically cast spells to fight back against the overwhelming storm.

Spells clashed in the air, while the Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox darted around the group, blinking from place to place. The spellstorm pressed in from every direction, as if they were besieged by an army of mages.

The Rock Giant strode forward, tanking spells without even bothering to dodge. Chunks of stone exploded from its body, but the fragments just hovered around it, as if drawn by some mysterious force.

In an instant, the shattered stones spun through the air, then returned to their original places. The spells looked impressive, but they had no effect at all.

"Hubert, Beta—go hold off that Rock Giant!"

Hubert spat on the ground, gripped Slaughter, and charged straight at the Rock Giant.

"You bastard—go die for Lord Hubert!"

Hubert roared, swinging Slaughter in a direct clash with the Rock Giant. One of the giant’s fists was smashed to powder, stone shards flying everywhere.

But Hubert barely had time to celebrate before the stone shards spun back, forming a massive hammer that smashed into him.

The blow sent Hubert flying. Beta, seeing this, nearly wet himself and bolted without a second thought.

Leon flipped open the Death Tome, and with a flash of light, Barton and Ragulin were summoned to help Hubert fight the Rock Giant.

Undead against the undying Rock Giant.

Ragulin gripped the Sword of Retribution, unleashing slash after slash of death aura, carving huge chunks of stone from the Rock Giant. Barton summoned a swarm of undead to surround it, layering on necromantic spells.

Hubert, too, went berserk, swinging Slaughter wildly in close combat against the Rock Giant.

But the Rock Giant’s body could morph at will—even the stone shards within its range could turn into deadly weapons for surprise attacks.

Barton kept summoning undead, slowly shrinking the Rock Giant’s territory. But with a shake, the giant erupted with stone spikes—every undead within ten meters was instantly shredded like meat in a grinder, leaving nothing but bone fragments.

The only thing keeping the Rock Giant contained was Barton’s endless supply of expendable undead.

It looked like they were holding the line, but no one felt the slightest bit relieved.

The Golden Behemoth was kept at bay by a torrent of spells—no one dared pause for a moment. The Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox kept blinking around, and so far, none of Leon’s spells had landed on it.

Instead, they were besieged by the spellstorm unleashed by the Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox.

The Rock Giant was being held off too.

But everyone knew—if this dragged on, they were all doomed...

"Leon, think of something! These three monsters are impossible to deal with—what do we do?"

Anderson, wielding the Arcane Wheel, unleashed spells in a frenzied torrent, but he could feel the mana within the Arcane Wheel draining fast. At this rate, they were doomed...

Leon’s face was grim as his Mana Harness whirred at full power, pushing his computational abilities to the limit.

All these rare magical beasts only existed in the God-Demon Age—long extinct, barely recorded. To kill them, to find their weaknesses, he’d have to deduce everything on the spot.

As time passed, the crisis crept ever closer.

Golden light streamed from the Golden Behemoth’s third eye, the radiance flowing like molten gold and slowly wrapping around its massive body.

Its fur, already like hammered gold, blazed with a piercing glow. Even the combined spell torrent from Anderson and the Battlemage Golem couldn’t keep the Golden Behemoth pinned down.

The Golden Behemoth raised all four arms, struck by dozens of spells every second, but still it advanced—slowly, inexorably—toward Leon and his party.

Fifty meters away—at its size, ten strides would put it in striking range!

The Unicorn Six-Tailed Fox kept blinking around the group, unleashing spellstorms that grew stronger and wider with every passing second. Their defensive spells covered less and less ground as the chaos intensified.

The ever-shifting, nearly indestructible Rock Giant was now engaged in direct combat with Ragulin and Hubert. Barton’s necromancy and expendable undead could no longer contain it. If the Rock Giant broke through, its morphing powers could trap the group in seconds—spelling instant death.

Sweat dripped from Leon’s brow; his Mana Harness was pushed to its absolute limit, and he’d stopped casting spells.

That left everyone else under immense pressure—every second felt like walking a knife’s edge. The slightest mistake could mean death for all.

Time crept by, punctuated by Hubert’s constant screams.

"Master Leon, think of something—this thing just won’t die! Smash it to pieces and it heals instantly..."
