Little Fool Lucia Lu
Actually, the Celestial Emperor told her the exact same thing that Adrian just did.
And now Adrian’s saying it again.
But what about him?
Why has he never said anything?
He’s never once looked her in the eye and said, “Lucia Lu, I like you! I want to marry you!”
And now she’s supposed to go explain things to him?
Explain what, exactly?
Adrian was still fuming: “How do you make it clear? Just—just spell it out for him! Tell him exactly what he means to you, and make it clear you had no idea about that flower egg!”
And what if I don’t?
Adrian: “You...!”
"Maybe I do want to hurt him! Maybe I do want to have my cake and eat it too! What are you gonna do about it? Go ahead, hit me if you dare!"
Adrian pointed at her, stammering, "You... you..."
Lucia stared at him coldly.
Adrian was the first to fold, drooping his head: "Fine, I’m sorry, okay? I went too far just now. But—"
"No buts! Get out! I’m going to bed!"
"Sis—"
"All of you, out!"
Adrian looked wounded, dragging his feet as he finally turned and left.
Ryan Lu glanced at Lucia, then at Adrian, and chased after him: "Adrian! Just wait till tomorrow—I’ll beat you to a pulp..."
Luna Lian tried to comfort her: "Sis, don’t take Adrian’s words to heart. He—"
"I know. You should go get some rest too," Lucia said. "I’m fine."
Luna frowned and nodded, then turned and left.
Lucia took a deep breath, sat down, and stared at the Loveblossom—its single petal just opening.
She gazed at it for a long time before pulling out her Messenger Charm and contacting Soren Lann.
"Divine Lord."
"Yanyu," Soren’s voice came through.
"Why aren’t you calling me Senior Sister anymore?" Lucia asked.
He chuckled softly. "So... has the flower bloomed yet?"
"It has," Lucia replied. "I never thought a random joke from years ago would turn into a real flower, thanks to you."
"Do you like it?"
"I really do like it, and I’m honestly touched," Lucia said. "But since it’s a symbol of romantic love, it’s not exactly appropriate for you to give it to me!"
There was a long silence on the other end.
Then Soren said, "Little Fool Lucia Lu, I’ve loved you ever since the first day I met you at the Spirit Alliance."
Lucia: !!
"I know you only think of me as your junior brother," Soren continued. "You don’t have to answer or respond. I gave you the Flower Egg just so you’d know how I feel."
Lucia: "..."
"Last time you came back, my Empress Dowager mother even formally proposed to Master and Maya Summers! Master said, of course he hopes you’ll return to the Radiant Palace, so our whole big family can be together again, just like before—warm, lively, and never lonely." Soren said. "But more than his wish, he cares about what you want."
Soren said, "I feel the same. My feelings matter, but your feelings matter more. If you’re willing, I’ll wait for you forever. If you’re not, I’ll still be your most loyal junior brother."
"Divine Lord... you—"
"Don’t say anything!" Soren interrupted. "It took all my courage just to tell you this. I don’t want to hear you reject me—at least not right now! I’m fragile too, you know..."
Lucia: "..."
"Good luck tomorrow!" Soren said. "You’ve got to keep first place! You’re representing the Lumina Realm, you know! That’s all—goodnight."
The Messenger Charm flickered out.
Lucia sat there, stunned.
Thinking back on her hundreds of years with Divine Lord Soren, she suddenly realized he’d always treated her with almost too much kindness...
Back in the Spirit Alliance days, even though he was a top-tier High God, he always listened to her every word.
