Sacred Stones on the Sacred Mountain

Evan Yang glanced at the waiter, confirmed he wasn't from the Fiend Realm, then spoke: "Got it. Find me a carriage and load these people up."

The waiter was more than happy to help, eager to get these troublemakers out of his restaurant.

A carriage arrived quickly. Evan and his group left through the back door, not wanting to draw too much attention.

Once everything was settled, Evan and Faye Gale boarded the carriage, which soon took them to the inn Evan had chosen.

Arriving at the inn, Evan instructed the staff, saying, "They're just drunk. Carry them upstairs."

The inn staff knew Evan and Faye were with these people, so they immediately arranged for extra help to get everything done.

Evan and Faye moved everyone into Elder Shaw's room, then sat down to wait for Elder Shaw to return.

"Hey, thanks for earlier. But don't tell anyone about what happened," Faye said once things had calmed down.

Evan knew what she meant, but since it was out of her control, he just smiled. "Got it. Don't worry, no one else will ever know."

"Good. Otherwise, I'll chop your hand off," Faye said.

"That ruthless? I just saved you!" Evan exclaimed in shock.

"I'm only chopping your hand off, not taking your life," Faye laughed.

"If that's the case, maybe I really should tell everyone," Evan muttered, frustrated.

"You wouldn't dare!" Faye glared at him, though she was clearly joking.

"Just kidding. I wouldn't dare," Evan said helplessly, shaking his head.

"That's more like it. Once we're back in Fiend Palace, I want the Palace Lord to take his life!" Faye snorted coldly.

Evan knew Mason Liu had finally crossed Faye's last line. This time, he was as good as dead.

"Is the Liu Family really that powerful in Fiend Palace?" Evan had always wondered why the Liu Family held so much sway there.

"Yeah," Faye replied.

"But logically, his grandfather is just an elder. That shouldn't be enough for the whole Fiend Palace to fear the Liu Family, right?" Evan asked, puzzled.

"That's something you don't know," Faye sighed.

"What is it?" Evan asked, curious.

"That elder in the Liu Family is just an elder. The truly terrifying Liu figure is someone else—a scary character who has a close relationship with the Fiend Palace Lord," Faye replied.

"Oh? I didn't know that," Evan said, surprised.

"Yeah. Very few people know about it. If it weren't for that, I would've crippled this guy long ago. I wouldn't have had to wait for a chance to let the Palace Lord handle it," Faye snorted.

Evan nodded in understanding, and the two continued discussing the Liu Family.

It wasn't until Elder Shaw returned with his people that he saw so many in his room—two sitting, the rest unconscious on the floor. He was shocked. "What's going on here?"

"What's going on?" Faye snorted and then explained everything to Elder Shaw.

When she finished, Elder Shaw's gaze shifted to one person—Henry Huo.

At that moment, Henry Huo's face changed dramatically. He hadn't expected the plot to be exposed and couldn't escape. He quickly knelt and begged, "Elder Shaw, I was wrong."
