This result left all the immortal-beast experts shocked. "Commander, that kid has slaughtered so many of our forces—he can't be simple. Only a late-stage Immortal Emperor should be able to pull this off. If this keeps up, our immortal-beast army will suffer heavy losses. I volunteer to go and kill him myself," said a middle-aged man.
"I also volunteer! This Immortal-Beast War can't afford any mistakes—please let Commander decide!" said another middle-aged man.
High in the air, Marshal Goldrake—the golden dragon elder—looked down at Evan Chu, who was furiously harvesting immortal-beast lives, and said, "Go. Bring me this man's head; I want to use it as a warning to the entire Immortal Realm. This person's identity is certainly not simple. Doing this will surely shatter the morale of the Immortal Realm's army."
The two immediately flew straight toward Evan Chu. "Commander, that golden bird must be from the Golden-Winged Roc Clan, right? I can't believe someone actually trained a Golden-Winged Roc as a pet—that's unheard of!"
"Phoenix Monarch, the Golden-Winged Roc Clan is as noble as we are, true king bloodlines among immortal beasts. But now the Golden-Winged Roc Clan has nearly gone extinct—maybe only in Skyflight Valley are any left. This Goldwing was probably brought out from there."
There are still our Dragon Clan, Phoenix Clan, and Tiger-Elephant Clan inside as well. So this war must succeed—failure is not an option. That Goldwing's strength is also formidable; maybe only your speed can barely match him. So I'll leave the Golden-Winged Roc to you. If you can make him submit, great; if not, just kill him." said Marshal Goldrake.
"Rest assured, Commander. The Golden-Winged Roc may be strong, but compared to my Phoenix Clan, they're far inferior. And this Goldwing hasn't even reached late-stage Immortal Emperor yet—killing him will be easy," said Monarch Seraphine.
She immediately flew quickly toward Evan Chu and Goldwing. At that moment, the contest between Evan and Goldwing ended. "Old Goldwing, how many immortal beasts did you kill?" Evan asked.
"Six thousand three hundred and twenty-one. How about you, Boss?" Goldwing replied.
"You lost. I killed over seven thousand three hundred. For you to get a result like that is already heaven-defying. You must've burned through a ton of Immortal Spirit Force—go back into my body and recover for a bit. Three late-stage Immortal Emperors are headed our way, and you've spent too much to handle them. Leave it to me," Evan said.
Meanwhile, on a distant part of the battlefield, a mountain-sized lion—Shadow—threw back his head and roared, sucking all the terrifying blood-reek from the air into his body. Crimson light flashed from his form, radiating a primordial aura that stunned every Immortal and immortal beast present.
"That Shadow really knows how to make a scene—just absorbing a bit of blood aura and he has to draw everyone's attention. I swear, he's something else," Evan Chu said.
"With all the blood aura Shadow just absorbed from these experts, he's definitely stronger than me now. Looks like when this Immortal-Beast War is over, I need some closed-door training myself. Boss, I'll head back into your body—just call me out when you need me," Goldwing said.
With a flash of golden light, Goldwing entered Evan Chu's body. At that moment, three top immortal-beast experts descended from the sky, all fixing their gaze on Evan.
At that moment, Marshal Goldrake gazed at Shadow and muttered, "How could an ancient sacred beast appear here—let alone a mutated one? Is there really a super-expert in the Immortal Realm who can make both a Golden-Winged Roc and this Bloodshadow Berserker Lion submit?"
Evan Chu glanced at the three newcomers and smiled. "May I ask what positions you hold among the immortal beasts? Judging by your looks, you're here to battle me and my palace, aren't you?"
"Your palace? Kid, who the hell are you to slaughter my immortal beasts so crazily? You're dead today! Want to know our identities? You're not qualified!" one of the middle-aged men roared in fury.
"Anyone who shows disrespect to my palace only ends up dead. You're finished," Evan said coolly. Then he glanced at the fiery, stunning woman and spoke again.
"You're from the Phoenix Clan, aren't you? My palace has deep ties with the Phoenix Clan—I don't want to hurt you. I advise you to leave; you're not my match." Evan sent this message as a private sound transmission to Monarch Seraphine.
Monarch Seraphine looked at Evan Chu and said, "I don't care if you have ties to the Phoenix Clan. Today, you've killed so many immortal beasts—so you must die!"
As soon as she finished speaking, a strand of black flame appeared in Monarch Seraphine's hand and shot straight at Evan Chu, instantly engulfing him. The air was suddenly filled with blistering heat, crackling and popping as if the very atmosphere had been set ablaze.
"The Phoenix Monarch's Nirvana Flame is even stronger than Heavenfire. That guy doesn't even try to dodge—he's basically asking to die!" one of the middle-aged men commented.
"I didn't expect the Phoenix Monarch to kill him in one move. All the credit goes to her—we can only stand by and watch," another said.
Monarch Seraphine smiled. "That kid really overestimated himself, daring to boast in front of me. Dying under my Nirvana Flame is actually lucky for him. But it looks like that Goldwing just entered his body—they must've signed a Soul Contract."
Evan heard their comments and immediately laughed. "Monarch Seraphine, you've really disappointed me. I was willing to spare you because my own wife is Phoenix Clan, but you thought I was joking? Even the Phoenix sovereigns of Skyflight Terrace have to show me immense respect. You really think your immortal beasts can unify the Immortal Realm? You're underestimating humans way too much."
Evan's words stunned the three of them. Not only had the Nirvana Flame failed to burn him to ashes, he could still talk as if nothing happened. This was downright uncanny—could he really be some kind of peerless powerhouse?
But the aura he was giving off was only at mid-stage Immortal Emperor—by rights, he shouldn't be able to withstand that attack. All three stared at Evan, who was still surrounded by black flame, full of doubt.
With a thought, Evan instantly absorbed all the black flames into his body, emerging completely unscathed. The three couldn't help but step back, looking at Evan as if he were a monster.
"Who are you, really? How can you absorb my Nirvana Flame? I know all the famous figures in the Immortal Realm—are you some expert from the God Realm?" Monarch Seraphine demanded. She knew better than anyone how powerful her Nirvana Flame was—it could instantly kill a mid-stage Immortal Emperor.
Even late-stage Immortal Emperors could be slain by it, yet this young man absorbed it in one gulp—leaving her truly shocked. Other than someone from the God Realm, she couldn't imagine anyone in the Immortal Realm with such terrifying power...
