War Tempest

Evan glanced at Monarch Seraphine and said, "Who am I? I'm the kind of person even your supreme commander would have to submit to. Phoenix Monarch, I'll give you one last chance to leave. Otherwise, you'll regret it!"

"Regret? That word doesn't exist in my vocabulary. If you refuse to reveal your identity, it just means you're a nobody.

Even if you can absorb my nirvana fire, that's not enough to make us submit to you. So today, it's either you die or we die. The dignity of immortal beasts will not be trampled by immortals like ants." Monarch Seraphine declared.

"Phoenix Monarch, why are you still wasting time with him? Let us help you cut this guy down and see what kind of ability he has to boast so shamelessly!" one of the middle-aged men said.

Evan just smiled faintly. "When I say you die, you die. Did you really think I was joking?"

As soon as he finished speaking, two beams of light shot from his eyes, blasting directly at the middle-aged man and sending him flying hundreds of meters away. Two gaping holes appeared in his chest, and after hitting the ground, he never moved again—dead beyond any doubt.

The way this middle-aged man died was exactly the same as that ancient Immortal elder who once insulted Evan and Lingxiao Fairy at Frostbane Divine Palace—holes in the chest, Immortal Infant destroyed, his face still frozen in terror and unwillingness.

To kill a top-tier expert of the immortal beast army in one blow—neither of them had expected this. One immediately rushed over to check the middle-aged man's condition, and when he saw that he was dead, he was completely stunned. Even the supreme commander might not have such overwhelming attack power.

Monarch Seraphine was also staring at Evan in terror, unable to understand why he possessed such terrifying attack power. Her curiosity about his identity grew even deeper; after being spared again and again, it seemed he really might have ties to the Phoenix Clan.

"Who exactly are you? If you don't make it clear today, even if I die, I won't leave!" Monarch Seraphine stared at Evan and said.

"Who am I? No harm in telling you. I'm the Lord of Frostbane Imperial Palace, also the king among your Dragon Clan sovereigns—in other words, the true king among immortal beasts. For this Immortal-Beast War, I want it to end immediately and achieve real peace between immortals and beasts. But for that, I need your help." Evan said calmly.

"Hahaha! What a joke. Do you really think I'd believe something so ridiculous? Peace between immortal beasts and immortals—you're dreaming! Are you only saying this because you're scared of my beast army's strength? After the war ends, you'll just slaughter us anyway, won't you?" Monarch Seraphine retorted.

Just as Evan was about to reply, an angry roar sounded behind him. Shadow the Bloodshadow Berserker Lion strode up and said, "Big bro, why bother arguing with this little phoenix? Just let Shadow wipe her out—she's only a late-stage Immortal Emperor, not even worth my attention now."

Evan was inwardly shocked at Shadow's words. This guy had gotten so ridiculously strong—it was hard to believe. After absorbing less than an hour's worth of blood aura, he'd gained the power to kill a late-stage Immortal Emperor. That was an insane rate of growth.

Evan clearly remembered Shadow saying he needed time to digest after absorbing blood aura, but now it seemed he didn't need any digestion at all. Evan was honestly thrilled about it, but killing the Phoenix Monarch was out of the question—Roxanne Lin still needed to return to the Phoenix Clan for her nirvana.

"Shadow, you can't kill the Phoenix Monarch. She's your sister-in-law's sovereign—if you kill her, Roxanne will blame you. If you really want to kill someone, take care of that other guy. Let me see how strong you've gotten." Evan said.

"Alright, let big bro witness my power! To be honest, what I really want is to fight the beast supreme commander. Only battling real powerhouses feels satisfying." Shadow finished speaking, his body flashing red and shrinking rapidly, then dashed toward the middle-aged man.

At that moment, Evan released a surge of primordial aura—a true ancient dragon qi. He felt it was time to put some pressure on the Phoenix Monarch, to show her his terrifying side. Only then could he hope to end the Immortal-Beast War. Of course, the key was still the Golden Dragon King, but Evan was confident he could make him submit.

Monarch Seraphine instantly felt a powerful pressure bearing down on her, an almost irresistible urge to kneel and submit. This pressure contained primordial aura—pure dragon qi, even stronger than what the Golden Dragon King possessed.

"Who are you, really? Are you an immortal beast? A member of the Dragon Clan?" Monarch Seraphine asked in shock, her mind filled with nothing but astonishment.

"Who I am isn't something you need to worry about for now. You can go back and tell the Golden Dragon King to end this Immortal-Beast War. Otherwise, I won't hesitate to destroy him and choose a new Dragon Clan powerhouse to lead the Immortal Realm's dragons—the Golden Dragon King of Godfall Valley would be a fine candidate." Evan said.

Monarch Seraphine looked at Evan in confusion, feeling like everything that had happened today was a dream—none of it made sense. The Phoenix Clan was supposed to be the noblest of all immortal beast races, but before this man, she felt utterly insignificant and lowly.

"Ah!" A shrill scream came from the middle-aged man not far away. The two looked over and saw Shadow terrifyingly bite his head clean off, blood spraying everywhere as his life ended. But his Immortal Infant was still intact.

A white light flashed, and the Immortal Infant flew out from the body on the ground. But Shadow inhaled forcefully, sucking the Immortal Infant into his mouth and slowly chewing, savoring it like a delicacy, his eyes half-closed in enjoyment.

Then he trotted over to Evan and said, "Boss, that guy was way too weak—no challenge at all. But his Immortal Infant tasted pretty good! Eating it gave me a huge power boost, no digestion needed, just instant energy. From now on, I’ll just swallow these guys’ Immortal Infants. If you get a chance, help me grab a few more, alright?"

Hearing this, Monarch Seraphine felt as if struck by lightning. She knew about the Bloodshadow Berserker Lion—while strong, its race was considered far weaker than Phoenixes, Kirin, Dragons, or Golden-Winged Rocs. But now her understanding was completely overturned; what she felt was pure, savage terror.

She couldn't understand why such a heaven-defying creature would appear at this young man's side, and why it showed him such deep respect. Was he truly an ancient Dragon Clan powerhouse? How could that be possible?

"Go back and tell your supreme commander: if he doesn’t want the immortal beasts to be slaughtered en masse, he’d better come talk to me in person. Otherwise, the next moment will be your race’s extinction. I don’t want to waste any more time." Evan said coldly, his face expressionless.

Monarch Seraphine felt that staying here another second would suffocate her. With a flash, she soared into the sky, flying straight toward the Dragon Clan elder.
