The Mysterious Know-All Broker

2/14/2026

The man who appeared suddenly, under the escort of the guard, entered a room, exchanged a few polite words, glanced around, and then went back to find the bully.

As for Evan Yang, he was currently with Hannah Nangong in the eastern part of the city. There were indeed a lot of people here, and outside the ruined temple sat a white-bearded old man, the Know-All Broker. He seemed to know everything. Whether ordinary people or cultivators, anyone who wanted to know something would go up and ask, and he could answer every question.

“Is he really that amazing?” Evan Yang looked at the Know-All Broker with curiosity, completely unaware that the bully had already been rescued.

“So there are people like this even in the Unclaimed Star System,” Hannah Nangong said skeptically.

Both Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong were very curious about the Know-All Broker, especially Evan, who was already eager to go up and ask his questions—there were so many things he wanted to know.

But there were over a hundred people in front of them. It seemed the Know-All Broker was quite popular here, and for just one lower-grade Immortal Source, you could get the answer you wanted.

So Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong waited. They realized that in a quarter of an hour, only ten people had gotten through. At this rate, it would take at least an hour for their turn, so the two had no choice but to keep waiting in line.

But a lot happened in that hour. The Bullard Clan’s chief steward soon arrived with a group. As soon as he showed up, he spotted the two he was looking for in the crowd, but he didn’t dare make a scene—after all, he couldn’t afford to offend the Know-All Broker.

With skills like that, the Know-All Broker naturally had the backing of many friends and powerful experts.

That’s why every Know-All Broker has a strong force behind him—no one dares to underestimate or harass him.

Everyone watched as this group walked toward Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong.

Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong weren’t fools—they sensed something was off.

“What should we do?” Hannah Nangong asked.

“He won’t dare make a move here.” Evan Yang judged from their steps and behavior that they wouldn’t act here—otherwise, they’d be making a loud scene.

“But what if he does?” Hannah Nangong pressed. For now, neither of them intended to act; Evan Yang was content to just watch and see what happened.

When the group finally reached Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong, the Bullard Clan’s chief steward spoke up: “Would you two come with me?”

“Oh? Why?” Evan Yang asked.

“You injured our Young Master. Bullard Manor wants you to come with us.” The chief steward said coldly.

“And if I refuse?” Evan Yang replied.

“We don’t want to fight here—if we do, no one will come out unscathed. If you don’t want to go, then come outside and face us in battle!” the chief steward said.

Evan Yang smiled. “Well, I guess I’ll just stick around and not leave, then.”

“You—!” The chief steward hadn’t expected Evan Yang to be so stubborn.

“What’s wrong? Lost your nerve?” Evan Yang smiled again, though he was secretly startled—had the person he sealed already been rescued? That was fast.

The chief steward was furious, but since fighting was forbidden here, he could only snort coldly. “If you’ve got the guts, just stay here. Anyway, the old gentleman will leave tonight.”

Evan Yang knew exactly who the old gentleman was—the Know-All Broker. But since he was already in line, if he wasted time fighting these people, he might miss his turn. So Evan just smiled. “Then you wait.”

So the chief steward and his men waited, and waited, until Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong finally reached the Know-All Broker. The old man sized them up. When he saw Evan, he paused, then looked surprised, finally muttering, “Strange, I can’t see through him.”

“Sir?” Evan Yang prompted the dazed Know-All Broker.

“Oh, what do you want to ask?” the Know-All Broker asked curiously.

For some reason, Evan Yang felt the Know-All Broker’s behavior was a lot like those future-seeing guys he’d met in the Fiend Realm.

“I want to ask about a few things. Would you mind telling me?” Evan Yang asked.

“One question, one lower-grade Immortal Source. If I know the answer, I’ll tell you,” the Know-All Broker said.

Evan Yang asked, “Do you know where Blaze Mountain Territory is?”

The Know-All Broker paused at the mention of Blaze Mountain Territory, then steadied himself. “Young man, why are you asking about that?”

“A friend went there. I want to find him,” Evan Yang replied.

“A friend? I’d advise you not to go,” the Know-All Broker said.

“Why? It’s a mysterious place. To be honest, aside from a few ancient records, most places have lost any detailed address for it. I suggest you ask about something else—I can’t help with this,” the Know-All Broker said.

Evan Yang was stunned. He hadn’t expected Blaze Mountain Territory to be so hidden—even the Know-All Broker didn’t know. Judging by how the old man had answered everyone before, Evan was impressed.

“Go ahead, young man,” the Know-All Broker said, sensing something in Evan Yang’s look but helpless to answer.

Evan Yang realized he wouldn’t find Blaze Mountain Territory anytime soon. Though it was frustrating, he had no choice but to keep searching later. For now, he asked, “Do you know where to find the Million-Year Venom Toad or the Ten-Million-Year Tree Heart?”

The Know-All Broker stared at Evan Yang for a long time. “Young man, both are incredibly rare, and getting them is extremely difficult and dangerous. I advise you not to try.”
