Love Without Regret

Of course! My sweet son, wait for us.

"Okay!" Sean Shaw replied with a smile. "So, where are you two now? And how did Father end up there?"

The Celestial Emperor said, "It was an accident. Your father barely survived, it was a close call!"

"And you—"

"Enough about me, the energy here is limited, we can’t talk long." The Celestial Emperor said, "Tell me, has the Demon Emperor the Oracle predicted appeared?"

Sean paused, then said, "Father, he’s already been taken care of by Lily Bai and me. You don’t have to worry."

"Oh really? That’s exactly what I was worried about!" The Celestial Emperor said with delight.

Sean said, "You don’t need to worry anymore. I’ll handle everything."

"Good, good, good! By the way... have you brought Lily Bai home as your bride yet?"

Sean smiled, "She’s already home."

"Celestial Emperor!" Lily Bai chimed in, leaning closer. "Hello to both of you!"

"Oh my, Little Fish, look! That’s our daughter-in-law!" The Celestial Emperor hurriedly pulled Sean’s mother over. "Isn’t she gorgeous?"

Sean’s mother looked Lily Bai up and down, nodding with obvious delight. "She’s gorgeous! Our Little Five is so lucky. Hahaha!"

"Father, Mother," Sean called out, "about this Void Gate—"

"Speaking of the Void Gate, I don’t know how you managed to open it, but you must never try again!" Sean’s mother warned. "Those space storms are way too fierce—way too dangerous! Next time, the entire Lotus Realm could be wiped out!"

Sean glanced at Soren Lann and nodded, "Alright..."

Oh no! We’re out of energy. That’s it for now. My sweet son, wait for us!

Even the previous patterns faded away.

Sean reached out to touch the Gate, feeling both joy and sorrow.

Lily Bai turned to Soren Lann. "Divine Lord Soren, can you tell us? How did you manage to open this thing?"

A look of utter daze came over Soren’s face—something no one had ever seen before. After a long pause, he produced a round object. "This. Liam Leshan gave it to me. The character you found in Primeval Abyss Gorge, written on it in Divine blood, opened the Gate."

Lily Bai took it, turning it over in her hands. "What is this thing?"

"I don’t know," Soren said.

"And what was your goal?" Sean asked. "You’re not the type to fall for Liam Leshan’s tricks so easily. He must’ve told you that opening the Gate would give you something you desperately wanted. That’s why you kept this from us."

Soren took a deep breath. "He said that opening it would be like a Genesis Array—could reverse time and send me back to the past."

Sean didn’t say anything else.

Lily Bai didn’t speak either.

They didn’t ask what he wanted to change about the past.

Lily Bai only said, "Earlier we saw Darren Xuan. He said you, Sean, and Divine Lord Tanya Quinn would all die. I guess this was what he meant. It’s definitely their conspiracy—their goal is to seize the Three Divine Realms."

Soren suddenly let out a laugh. "Am I a total fool or what?"

"Liam Leshan’s always been a schemer," Lily Bai said.

"But the real fool is Azure Flame," Soren said. "She’s lived two hundred thousand years, seen everything, understood everything. How could she do something so stupid?"

"She’s not stupid," Lily Bai shook her head. "On the contrary, she lives more clearly than anyone. If she loves, she loves with everything she’s got. If she hates, she hates with all her heart! To live true to your feelings—that’s real clarity."
