Sylvia Yin and Rosalind

Then, in front of the Celestial Empress, he pretended to have received a crucial order from Crown Prince Evan Xiao and dashed off to the mortal realm to press his advantage...

Grace thought to herself, this young man is seriously ill...

After he left, Grace was once again the attending physician.

Fortunately, ever since Grace became the palace mascot, the Celestial Empress had been more polite to her.

It was probably her way of keeping the peace, just letting Grace finish treating the illness and be done with it.

Of course, the Celestial Emperor’s calming influence played a part in all this.

Grace could sense this the moment she took the Empress’s pulse; her pulse was smoother and gentler than before, yin and yang in harmony, nourished and content...

......

All the gods of Drake Abyss were deeply curious about the Spirit Medium.

And of course, everyone had noticed the unusual chemistry between her and Crown Prince Evan Xiao.

The little thatched hut where she lived was a constant thoroughfare—so many people came and went that even the flowers and grass nearby had been trampled to death.

Grandpa Gene the High Saint was always busy with mysterious things, never seen all day, and there wasn't even anyone around to help greet visitors.

Fed up, Grace went to find Evan Xiao, hoping he could help her find a quiet place to stay.

But Evan Xiao wasn’t in Radiant Dawn Palace.

When Grace arrived, she saw Sylvia Yin, the dragon attendant she’d met for the first time back then.

When Sylvia Yin saw Grace, she looked her up and down and said, with a face full of attitude, "His Highness the Crown Prince is not here!"

"So where is he now? When will he be back?" Grace asked.

"How could I possibly tell an outsider that?" Sylvia Yin shot back, not bothering to be polite.

In Drake Abyss, almost no one talked to her like this anymore.

Grace paused for a moment and said, "I have something very important to discuss with him."

"What do you want?" Sylvia Yin asked, her tone anything but polite.

Grace’s expression darkened. "Since when do I need to report my business to you?" she retorted.

Sylvia Yin immediately threw her attitude back, snapping, "Oh, please! Whatever you want to say, I don’t want to hear it!"

Just as Grace was about to reply, the curtain inside rustled and Rosalind came out.

She was holding some embroidery, looking sleepy as she asked, "Sylvia Yin, who are you talking to out here?"

Before Sylvia Yin could answer, Rosalind had already spotted Grace and quickly broke into a warm smile. "I was inside making clothes for His Highness, but I accidentally fell asleep! I heard voices outside and thought I was dreaming. Turns out it’s Miss Grace!"

"Rosalind, I need to speak with Crown Prince Evan Xiao about something important. Do you know when he’ll be back?"

"He should be back soon! Come in and have a seat! Sylvia Yin, why aren’t you pouring tea for our guest yet?" Rosalind hurriedly set aside her embroidery and invited Grace inside.

Sylvia Yin grumbled, "Rosalind, why are you letting her sit? The rules at Radiant Dawn Palace are clear—if the master isn’t here, we don’t entertain guests!"

"Nonsense! Is Miss Grace a guest? From now on, whenever she comes to Radiant Dawn Palace, she can treat it like her own home!"

"Why should she get special treatment? She’s not anyone important to the Crown Prince!" Sylvia Yin protested, clearly dissatisfied.

Rosalind was always gentle as water, but this time she was truly angry. Pointing to the back, she said, "Sylvia Yin, from today onward, you don’t need to serve in the front anymore! Go to the back! Unless you’re summoned, you’re not allowed up here!"

Sylvia Yin looked at Rosalind in disbelief. "Rosalind! Why would you say something like that? Yesterday—"

"I told you yesterday, we’re just servants of Crown Prince Evan Xiao. Don’t meddle in things that aren’t our business, and don’t say things you shouldn’t! Did you listen?" Rosalind interrupted. "Go, now!"

"You..." Sylvia Yin bit back tears, stomped her foot, and ran off.

Grace raised her eyebrows but didn’t say a word.
