Who Is Husband and Who Is Wife

1/4/2026

Damian Black waited for ages, and when she still didn't say a word, he finally broke the silence: "So, is there anything you want me to do?"

Lily Bai snapped out of it, shook her head, and grinned, "Nope. Just... bored out of my mind."

"You haven't been doing any sigil work lately. Want me to help you pull some weeds in the garden? Or loosen up the dirt a bit?"

"No need, Chacha already took care of it. The garden looks perfect thanks to him."

"Want some tea? I can brew you a fresh pot."

"Nah, that's fine," Lily Bai said. "Chacha already brewed some before he left."

Damian shot a look at the steaming teapot but kept his mouth shut.

"Want a taste? It's actually amazing."

"No." His face clouded over. "You really like that kid, huh?"

"Of course! Chacha's the best, and he's super sweet," Lily Bai said. "Just like your Skye always is."

Damian snorted, "How could he possibly compare to Skye?"

"Fine, your Skye is the best!" Lily Bai said, grinning. "Honestly, I think you're doomed to spend your whole life with him."

"I was always going to spend my life with him," Damian said, deadpan.

Lily Bai rolled her eyes. "Seriously? You never go near women—do you have a cut-sleeve preference or something?"

Damian's face darkened. "Lily Bai! What nonsense are you talking?"

"Oh? Did I hit a nerve? Am I right?" Lily Bai teased, her eyes sparkling. "No wonder you're never interested in women—it all makes sense now!"

Damian: "Shut up."

"Ha! So I nailed it and now you're all flustered?" Lily Bai pouted. "Honestly, you and Skye look like a perfect couple! You two have that old married vibe—so much tacit understanding. But tell me, who's the husband and who's the wife?"

Damian suddenly grabbed her arm.

Lily Bai leaned back, startled. "What are you doing?"

"If you keep spouting nonsense, I'll seal your voice meridians and you won't be able to talk for a whole year!"

"Oh? Now you're threatening me?" Lily Bai arched her brow. "Go on, I dare you! If you do, next time I summon you, it'll be a real dragon-yang loving man waiting for you!"

"You—"

Just then, Nine Li called from outside: "Senior Sister, Senior Sister! Master is back!"

Lily Bai glanced at Damian, but he vanished instantly.

......

Lord Faustin looked in great spirits—clearly he'd finally tossed away that hot potato.

As for where he threw it, he wouldn't say a word. And he insisted Lily Bai forget about it entirely.

"I just came back from the Divine Realm and learned that Young Lord Adrian Drake's birthday is coming up," Lord Faustin said. "Since we're already headed to the Guardian Drake Lord's estate, we need to prepare a proper gift—otherwise, it'd be terribly rude."

Lily Bai nodded. "That's right! I heard High Immortal Quinn mention it before. It's Adrian's first birthday banquet since taking human form—a huge event, all the gods will be there."

"Who's Young Lord Adrian? Have you met him?" Nine Li asked, curious.

Lily Bai shook her head.

Lord Faustin said, "I've met him. He's a true gentleman—universally admired. Not like some people, who act one way to your face and another behind your back!"

Nine Li piped up, "Dad, do you mean Young Master Drake Leo?"

Lord Faustin cuffed him on the back of the head. "Shut up."

......

The Sigil Sect still commanded plenty of respect in the Three Realms and Ten Wilds.

Lord Faustin led his two disciples to Drake Abyss. After reporting their arrival, they were let in.

Master and disciples prepared their gifts and went to the Guardian Drake Lord's estate.

They arrived the day before Young Lord Adrian's birthday.

Lord Faustin had some past connection with the Guardian Drake Lord.
