Trapped in Realmrift

"The Moon Ruins have disappeared..." Miles Silent cried out anxiously.

The Moon Ruins have disappeared? Longsun Arlo looked at Miles Silent in confusion. Not only Longsun Arlo, but Shane Pooler, Blackfire, and the others who had come out with them were all staring at Miles Silent in bewilderment.

The Moon Ruins are a secret realm—how could they suddenly vanish?

The last to come out, Quinn Windflower, softened his tone and said, "Master Miles, what exactly happened? Please explain carefully—there's no need to rush."

"Greetings, Senior Quinn." Although Quinn Windflower was only at the second layer of Immortal Emperor, Miles Silent showed him great respect. He knew exactly who Quinn Windflower was. Since Joe Di called Quinn Windflower 'Master', Miles Silent dared not address him as a mere peer.

Quinn Windflower knew that this respect was all thanks to Joe Di. He waved his hand, "Mayor Silent, we are all friends here. Just tell us directly—what happened to the Moon Ruins?"

Quinn Windflower was just as familiar with the Moon Ruins. Not only was it a secret realm, but it was also one of the top trial grounds for cultivators from the Four Great Immortal Continents.

Within the Moon Ruins, there wasn't just the Dark Ruins Gorge, but also the Lunar Celestial Sea and the Chaotic Law Space. Each of these places had brought endless benefits to the cultivators of this Immortal Continent.

Miles Silent calmed himself before speaking, "Everyone, take a look at this projection..."

As he spoke, Miles Silent summoned an image crystal and released it. A scene from the void appeared before everyone.

Suddenly, a terrifying rift appeared in the sky above the Moon Ruins, and from within it spun a massive vortex of void turbulence.

The boundless Moon Ruins began to shrink without limit, then was swept away by that vortex... Countless cultivators trapped inside cried out in agony for help, but nothing could change their fate.

Longsun Arlo murmured, "No wonder Big Brother wouldn't let us enter the Moon Ruins. So this place can actually leave..."

"It's very likely to be a magical treasure. I suspect its artifact spirit awakened and then left on its own," Quinn Windflower said. Though his cultivation was not high, his knowledge was considerable.

Shane Pooler nodded as well. "I think so too. If it left, then it left—at worst, the Four Great Immortal Domains lose a trial ground. As for those cultivators who perished, they simply had poor fortune. Cultivation is also about refining one's destiny."

Miles Silent shook his head. "If only it were that simple. Not long after the Moon Ruins vanished, a furious roar echoed from above the void. I heard it clearly: within a year, if the person who took the Sacred Yin Pearl does not return it and kneel at the Moon Ruins' former site, then three years from now, he will come to this Immortal Domain and erase this entire void..."

Everyone was stunned upon hearing this.

None of them knew what the Sacred Yin Pearl was, nor did they know who had taken it. Even if they did know, would the person who took it really return it?

No one treated this as a joke. It was obvious that the Moon Ruins had been taken away by a rumored powerhouse from the previous realm, and if that expert came to destroy the Four Great Immortal Continents, would that be a minor problem?

Even if they wanted to go to the Cultivation Realm, as long as they had a Realmshatter Talisman of that level, they could still make the journey.

......

Joe Di opened his eyes, and the swirling aura of Rule Cycle around him faded away. At this moment, his presence was not as powerful as when he first arrived, but Joe Di knew that his strength was now far greater than when he had entered the Realmrift.

Whatever Xavier White's intentions were, Joe Di actually felt grateful to him. If Xavier White hadn't given him that Dao Vein, no matter how many centuries he spent in seclusion, Joe Di would never have reached the peak of Immortal Emperor.

The cosmic laws here were incomplete—cultivation required more than just the presence of spiritual energy. Because Joe Di cultivated his unique Rule Cycle, his understanding of universal laws had long surpassed that of ordinary cultivators. Only with this foundation, and by relying on his own world and the dense spiritual energy here, did he reach the peak of Immortal Emperor.

Now that he had reached the peak of Immortal Emperor, even if he remained here and absorbed more Dao Veins, Joe Di was certain he would make no further progress.

He had to leave this place. Joe Di put away the section of Dao Vein he hadn't yet used. Sensing the cosmic laws at the edge of the Realmrift, he chose a spot, gathered all his immortal essence, and wrapped it with streams of law before attempting to tear through.

Boom! An even more terrifying backlash of spiritual energy erupted, sending Joe Di hurtling hundreds of meters away, where he crashed into a rapidly passing meteor.

If Joe Di had not refined his body to the peak of Divine Physique, that impact would have surely shattered every bone in his body.

Joe Di sighed—tearing through the barrier of a lower realm was indeed far too formidable, at least not something he could achieve at his current level.

After resting for half a day, Joe Di tried the other side of the Realmrift, once again gathering his immortal essence and Rule Cycle to tear through.

This time, he tried to tear open the realm boundary at the spot Xavier White had once breached. According to Xavier, if it could be torn open, it would lead to the true Dao Domain.

To Joe Di's disappointment, even after exhausting all his strength, he was blasted back by a powerful counterforce—he simply couldn't reach the edge of the void realm.

Ultimately, his cultivation was still too low.

Joe Di grew truly anxious. When he was at the seventh level of Immortal Emperor, he couldn't tear through the boundary; now, even at the peak of Immortal Emperor, he still couldn't. Did this mean he might die of old age here in the Realmrift?

In the Realmrift, his cultivation could no longer improve. If he couldn't break through now, he surely wouldn't be able to in the future.

Joe Di began racing through the Realmrift, trying at every interval to tear open the boundary, hoping to find a weak spot.

To his disappointment, after several months and countless attempts—even trying the spot where he'd entered—Joe Di still couldn't tear open the void realm.

He couldn't understand how Yannette Hui had dared to take Moria Lane into Wrathwood. Yannette Hui likely wanted to enter the Realmrift. If he himself was trapped here, how had Yannette Hui managed to leave?

In those months, Joe Di found a pile of rare materials in the Realmrift, yet he could not find a way out.

Fortunately, Joe Di was a cultivator. After his initial anxiety, he calmed down. He stopped searching for an exit and focused on finding various ores, occasionally attempting to tear through the void.

Another month passed in the blink of an eye. One day, Joe Di stopped in a gray zone and saw three white flowers and three black flowers.

If not for the World Tome, Joe Di would never have known what these were. Now, he was very aware of the value of these six flowers. Even though Joe Di had never been to the Dao Domain, he knew these flowers were priceless even there.

These were called Duality Blossoms, which usually grew in the space between two realms, always appearing in pairs—one black and one white. Here, there were six flowers, making three pairs of Duality Blossoms.

The rarity of Duality Blossoms was such that even a single pair was a peerless treasure—let alone three pairs appearing here.

Even though Joe Di didn't need the Duality Blossoms right now, he couldn't help feeling excited.

Carefully, Joe Di took out a jade box, collecting each flower one by one and sealing them with a restriction.

Duality Blossoms could only grow in the Realmrift; once picked, even if planted in the Ninth World, they would surely perish.

Joe Di had just picked the fourth flower when he sensed spatial fluctuations not far away.

This was the first time since entering the Realmrift that Joe Di had felt void fluctuations. With his deep understanding of cosmic laws, he immediately realized what was happening.

Someone was ascending—a cultivator passing through the Realmrift, not far from him.

At that moment, Joe Di didn't hesitate. He abandoned the last two Duality Blossoms and, with a burst of divine sense, darted over.

As Joe Di rushed over, the rift torn by the ascendant quickly began to stabilize. Joe Di clearly sensed the edge of the realm boundary and, without hesitation, madly reached for the still-unstable void realm.
