Journey to the Immortal–Demonic Border

As the voice rang out, the person herself appeared—Jade Qin, dressed in sky-blue and still veiled, materialized before Evan Chu and Nolan Nangong.

"I asked Old Brother to teach me how to use a spatial domain. Even now, I can't wield one, and sometimes it leaves me pretty passive, so I specially asked him about it," Evan Chu explained.

"Palace Lord Chu, you must be joking. You don't know such a basic skill? If word gets out, no one in the Immortal Realm will believe it. I sure don't," Jade Qin said.

Evan Chu could only smile bitterly, glancing at Jade Qin before replying, "It's true. I can't use spatial domains, but I can easily break anyone else's. You can test it if you want."

The more he spoke, the more outrageous it sounded. To be unable to wield a domain but still break one—such a thing was unheard of. Both Nolan Nangong and Jade Qin paused, half believing, half doubting.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I'm telling the truth. Old Bro, go ahead and try. Don't worry, breaking your domain won't hurt you, and it'll be so subtle you won't even notice," Evan Chu said seriously.

Nolan Nangong chuckled. "If that's the case, let's see if you're for real. We've honestly never heard of anything like this before."

As soon as he finished speaking, Evan Chu felt a tremendous pressure descend on him—a late-stage Immortal Emperor's spatial domain was no joke. But Evan instantly began communicating with the elemental particles inside the domain.

After a few breaths, he realized it was a Fire Domain. Evan had already fully comprehended the fire element, so he quickly resonated with it and felt the pressure ease considerably.

Nolan Nangong's domain was actually a Double Domain—besides fire, there was also a Water Domain. Evan quickly resonated with the water element too, and the pressure on him vanished without a trace.

"Old Brother Lin Feng, this is a Double Domain. Its pressure is enough to crush even a mid-stage Immortal Emperor. If you can't break out, don't force it—I don't want to hurt you," Nolan Nangong said, watching Evan Chu stand motionless, his face serious.

Jade Qin also looked at Evan Chu in confusion, thinking he was still searching for a way to break free. But just then, Evan suddenly grinned and said, "Old Bro, your water-fire domain is just average to me—it doesn't affect me at all. I've already broken it."

"Broken it? How is that possible? I didn't sense any fluctuation in the domain. Walk around and show me," Nolan Nangong exclaimed in shock.

Evan Chu immediately floated up, slowly flying off into the distance, then flying back again. Nolan Nangong still hadn't dismissed his spatial domain, yet Evan moved freely—an impossible feat that left both Nolan and Jade Qin staring in disbelief.

"Now do you believe me? Your domain has no effect on me, even if you stack more layers. My understanding of the elements long surpassed yours—maybe that's why I can't form a spatial domain myself," Evan Chu laughed.

After dismissing his spatial domain, Nolan Nangong studied Evan Chu closely. "You're an absolute monster. Incredible. Old Bro, I admit defeat today."

"I've comprehended all nine elements. I can communicate with any of them and reach resonance. Once I resonate, the elemental force in a domain can't affect me. You get what I'm saying, right?" Evan Chu said calmly.

But his words were like a bolt from the blue, leaving Nolan Nangong and Jade Qin utterly stunned. Someone who had mastered all nine elements—there wasn't even a record of that in ancient texts.

Plenty of people had mastered the five main elements, since those were common. But nine elements? That was basically impossible. Wind and lightning were rare and violent, while light and darkness were almost unattainable.

To master them, you had to truly grasp them. Just imagine—a cultivator who'd mastered all nine elements, if they formed a spatial domain, what would that look like? Even a god trapped inside would be crushed by the domain's power, unable to break free.

"Don't be too shocked—this is my secret. Besides a few people, nobody knows. I'll figure out domains later. Right now, we need to discuss heading to the Immortal–Demonic Border. If we find Zane Zuo, we have to kill him no matter the cost," Evan Chu said.

Jade Qin didn't know Evan Chu's situation, and hearing this, she looked troubled. "Palace Lord Chu, that place is one of the most dangerous in the Immortal Realm. The wraiths there are especially terrifying. Shouldn't we think of another way?"

"You don't need to worry about the wraiths, Sect Master Qin. I have a way to handle them. The real reason I called you is to let you personally cut down Zane Zuo and vent your anger. There's no time to waste—let's go now, shall we?" Evan Chu said.

"The entrance to the Demonic Realm is tens of thousands of li away. Even riding a Golden-Winged Roc, it'll take days and nights to get there. I say we leave tomorrow—Xiao Jiao rushed here overnight and must be exhausted. Let's rest a night before setting out," Nolan Nangong suggested.

"Old Bro, you're just worried about Sect Master Qin. You can rest while riding the Goldwing—just keep us headed in the right direction. Leave the rest to me," Evan Chu laughed.

Jade Qin said nothing. Evan Chu summoned Goldwing's true form, and the four of them flew straight toward the Immortal–Demonic Border, chatting along the way about Immortal Realm rumors and hidden sects.

Goldwing's speed was terrifying, giving the three others a real sense of what a Golden-Winged Roc could do. Three days later, they arrived at the so-called Immortal–Demonic Border—a desolate, foul-smelling wasteland shrouded in mist.

After dismounting from Goldwing, Evan Chu sent the beast back into his body. The place was incredibly dangerous, and he wasn't about to risk his contracted beast.

With a thought, Evan Chu channeled Chaos Immortal Force to his eyes and saw countless ghostly figures drifting through the air—just like the Shade Clan entities he'd encountered in the Netherworld.

These must be the wraiths. From time to time, mournful howls echoed through the mist, making the whole atmosphere feel eerie and oppressive.

"Everyone, stay alert and spread your spiritual sense. I believe Zane Zuo is cultivating at the spot closest to the Demonic Realm, where the demonic qi is thickest. Don't startle the snake," Evan Chu warned.

He took out the Celestial Mirror and, upon spotting a wraith, immediately used it to destroy the spirit. The journey passed safely...
