Go Back and Cultivate for Another Five Hundred Years

Bang! Bang!

Where the giant fists landed, two figures were sent flying, coughing up blood midair.

With a thought, Ian Song withdrew his avatar, shrinking back to normal size. Reaching out, he pulled all five men before him.

"Do you want to live or die?" Ian asked, looking at them.

"Our lives are already in your hands. Whether we live or die is up to you—why bother asking?" Nanspring replied with a bitter smile.

"If you want to live, you’ll have to acknowledge me as your master. If you’d rather die, that’s simple—I can send you on your way!" Ian said with a smile.

At those words, the other four all looked to Nanspring.

After a brief hesitation, Nanspring said, "Our sect has a pact with the Duke of Qi Residence. If we betray the Duke, both the Duke and our sect will hunt us down!"

"Don’t worry about that. Once you acknowledge me as your master, I’ll send you somewhere safe to cultivate. When you reach the Nascent Divinity stage, you can come out and serve me—how about that?" Ian replied.

"Impossible!" Nanspring shook his head. "We don’t have any advanced manuals. Even if we secluded ourselves for a thousand years, we’d never reach Nascent Divinity!"

"You don’t need to worry about that—I can provide you with Nascent Divinity manuals, and even Fusion-stage techniques! Enough talk, it’s time for you to choose." Ian said confidently.

"Even ants cling to life, let alone cultivators who’ve spent a thousand years on the path. I’m willing to acknowledge you as my master!" As soon as he finished, Nanspring bowed deeply to Ian.

"Very good!" Ian nodded in satisfaction, his gaze sweeping over the other four.

"Zhao Kang greets the master!"

"Jett Fei greets the master!"

"Logan Long greets the master!"

"Fenton Feng greets the master!"

Having gained five late Out-of-Body subordinates, Ian was quite satisfied. "The place I’m sending you is far too important—if the secret gets out, it’ll mean death. To prevent any leaks, I’ll plant a soul restriction on you. Any objections?"

None of the five dared object. Soon, Ian used the Puppet Mastery Divine Art to brand their souls, then brought them into the Divine Temple.

He then transmitted a technique called the War God Canon to them.

Although the War God Canon was incomplete, it could be cultivated all the way to the Immortal Realm. The five nearly went mad with joy on receiving it. Ian then gifted each of them ten thousand top-grade spirit crystals.

Finally, Ian adjusted the Divine Temple’s time flow to one hundred times normal, letting them cultivate inside.

In a desolate courtyard of the Duke of Qi Residence, Barry Jiang was fiddling with a chessboard alone when he suddenly frowned: "Someone, come here!"

A moment later, a guard entered and bowed respectfully. "Chief Steward, what are your orders?"

"C-Squad has been gone for nearly half an hour. Why haven’t they brought him back yet?" Barry Jiang asked in a low voice.

The residence has five guard squads, named A, B, C, D, and E.

A-Squad is the strongest, made up entirely of Nascent Divinity experts. They’re responsible for the residence’s safety and are rarely mobilized.

B-Squad’s captain is a Nascent Divinity expert, and the other five members are all peak late Out-of-Body stage.

The captains and members of C and D Squads are all late Out-of-Body stage.

As for E-Squad, except for the captain who’s late Out-of-Body stage, the five members are mid Out-of-Body stage.
