Although Ian Song had mastered the first three forms of the Heavenbreaker Sword Art, the swordplay he displayed was still just a rough outline, far from the true Heavenbreaker Sword Art.

Shutting himself away to practice could only get him so far; real progress required live combat. That’s why he forced this group of Duke of Qi Residence guards to fight him—only in actual battle could his sword art become more refined. It was just like his fight at Immortal Cloud Pavilion: on the surface, his cultivation hadn’t increased at all, but in reality, his strength had grown by quite a bit. Especially each time he used Godpiercer to kill someone, his understanding of that move deepened.

"Old Zhao, let me team up with you against him!"

Another guard stepped forward, eyes locked fiercely on Ian Song. They might just be household guards, but each had their own pride. Trapped inside the formation, they were already simmering with frustration; now, being looked down on by Ian only made it worse. With a chance to beat this guy, of course they weren’t going to let it slip by.

The guard who volunteered was Jett Fei, a master of flying sword arts.

One would attack from range, the other up close—they’d pin down the enemy and force him to play it safe. For a moment, Zhao Kang’s confidence soared.

"Jett, watch yourself!"

In the next instant, Zhao Kang barked a command and swung his spirit hammers at Ian Song again.

Meanwhile, a transparent little sword appeared above Jett Fei’s head. The sword had no hilt. Jett formed a sword seal with his hands, and instantly, the transparent sword split into sixteen blades.

"Go!"

With a flick of his finger, the sixteen transparent flying swords shot silently toward Ian Song.

Under Jett Fei’s control, the sixteen blades spread out, attacking Ian Song from every angle.

Facing this barrage, Ian Song felt a trace of danger. His longsword flashed, stabbing out again and again.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

His sword was as quick as lightning, sending all sixteen flying swords spinning away. But just then, the twin spirit hammers in Zhao Kang’s hands erupted with dazzling light, smashing toward Ian Song.

Boom!

Ian Song was struck and forced to stagger back.

But Zhao Kang didn’t let up. His twin hammers flew out, controlled mid-air, pounding down again and again. At the same time, Jett Fei’s sixteen transparent flying swords split again, multiplying into a hundred and eight blades.

Jett narrowed his eyes, sword seals flying between his fingers, and softly spat out a word: "Kill!"

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
