Demanding Blood from the Yang Clan

After Evan Yang entered, he found himself in an independent space, saturated with all kinds of pure attributes—each provided by the thirteen cultivators present. Evan was deeply curious how they managed to create such a place.

While inside, Evan could clearly sense that cultivating here was at least hundreds of times faster than anywhere else—maybe even thousands. Though he had no idea how they achieved this, it must have cost them enormous power. Otherwise, such a miraculous place could have nurtured countless experts.

But now wasn't the time to figure out how this space was formed. Instead, he closed his eyes, opened his heart, and began absorbing the surrounding attributes. As he absorbed them, his cultivation slowly improved.

Outside the space, the fourteen cultivators all believed that if Evan could absorb three attributes, that would already be impressive—the rest were just supporting elements. But unexpectedly, Evan absorbed all the other attributes as well.

This was beyond their imagination. As a result, over a hundred years, Evan underwent many changes.

“Whew, even the Heaven-Cold Seed has changed,” Evan realized. The Heaven-Cold Seed inside him was now circulating and producing cold power much faster than before. Besides that, his Ice-fire Sacred Flame and Sacred Flame had also undergone subtle changes.

The so-called transformation of his domain was that the Ice-fire Sacred Flame wrapped around Evan like a pale, misty flower, while the Sacred Flame formed an outer shell. This was the realm where Ice-fire and Sacred Flame fused, and Evan named it Polar Sacred Flame.

Polar Sacred Flame could be taken to extremes—one moment absolute cold, the next blazing heat—making it impossible to guard against. This delighted Evan, and besides this, he noticed that the Ice-fire seemed eager to break free of its restraints.

Seeing this, Evan thought of the Sacred Flame—was its seal about to break? Considering the possibility, he decided to visit the Water Temple and check it out, and also take a look at the Fire Temple.

With his plans made, Evan cultivated here for a hundred years until the attributes inside were nearly depleted. As promised, he left the space and saw the fourteen cultivators outside—thirteen of them now pale-faced and with white hair, as if they'd suddenly aged many years.

"What is this?" Evan asked, curious.

"They poured all their lifetime power into the space, so you could improve over a hundred years. This is their mission," said Lora's master.

"What? Isn't that basically costing them their lives?" Evan was shocked, realizing they probably wouldn't live much longer.

"This is their mission as God-Guardians. So don't let everyone down," Lora's master said.

Although Evan had little connection with them, seeing their expectant gazes made him feel guilty. He bowed deeply to everyone. "Thank you, all of you."

At this moment, Evan's strength had soared, but it was thanks to the help of these people that he had become who he was now. No matter what, Evan would always be grateful to them.

After Evan finished bowing, Lora's master took him away. Back at the Blue Robe Sect, she asked, "How strong are you now?"

"Sixth-tier Emperor. If possible, maybe I could fight an Immortal Sovereign," Evan thought aloud.

"There's a qualitative leap between the Emperor Realm and Immortal Sovereign. Don't underestimate it. Even among Immortal Sovereigns, there are divisions—Void, Half-Void Half-Solid, Solid, and each stage is split into smaller levels. Right now, you could only try fighting the Void stage," Lora's master explained.

"Okay, I understand. I'll do my best," Evan replied.

"Alright, when you reach the Immortal Sovereign realm, come find me. I'll take you to seek the Gate of the Otherworld," Lora's master said.

Evan nodded. He was curious about this Otherworld—he really wanted to see if the so-called Gods were truly trapped there, or if something else was going on.

When Evan appeared before everyone again, Lora and the others complained and worried—after all, he'd vanished for a hundred years without a word. Lora's master had to explain for a long time before they calmed down. "Alright, I'll go see Mad Elder now. I might leave soon," Evan said.

Lora and the others had already agreed—if Evan left, they'd follow him. Faced with these companions, Evan could only helplessly bring them along.

Returning to Mad Elder, Evan was immediately scolded.

"You brat, I thought you'd be gone for a moment, but you disappeared for a hundred years! What kind of visit is that? Tell me, what did she give you that made you stay so long?" Mad Elder demanded.

"Mad Elder, really, nothing. I just went somewhere to cultivate—a blink of an eye and time flew by, so I forgot," Evan replied awkwardly.

"You forgot just like that?" Mad Elder said, skeptical.

"Really, ask them," Evan said, pointing to Lora and the others.

They explained what happened, finally calming Mad Elder down.
