Chapter 807: Allegiance
But as time passed, the remaining Forgefire Dwarves simply couldn’t outrun the rampaging storm. Wherever the storm swept through, even the branches of the Tree of Wisdom were torn apart, shattering into countless fragments...
Just as the last major group of Forgefire Dwarves was about to be dragged into the storm, a thunderous roar erupted.
The surviving Forgefire Dwarves turned toward the sound, instantly witnessing a scene that left them stunned.
From that direction, it looked as if a massive beast was rampaging straight toward them. Even from a distance, the branches and leaves of the Tree of Wisdom—and the small continents formed over countless years—were all crumbling apart...
A huge, ancient-looking ship barreled through, smashing everything in its path into fragments...
Without the slightest pause, the terrifying ship crashed directly into the raging storm.
In an instant, the storm twisted violently, the elements rioting. Endless elemental fury battered the ship, yet it remained completely unscathed.
The ship pressed against the storm, and seconds later, the storm exploded with a deafening blast. A terrifying shockwave surged forward, destroying everything in its path—even Archmage Felton, caught in the storm, was sent flying who knows where.
Leon flew over, shouting at the stunned Forgefire Dwarves.
"What are you all standing around for? Get on the ship, we don't have much time!"
With a loud shout, the surviving Forgefire Dwarves wore the expressions of those who had narrowly escaped death. Like being chased by mad dogs, they all rushed aboard the USS Dauntless in less than a minute.
Leon stood at the bow, steering the USS Dauntless toward the Dark Elf Enclave.
He had the already assembled Dark Elves and Ashen Orcs board immediately, then, without hesitation, led the Three Great Races to charge out of the God-Demon Dominion.
The USS Dauntless accelerated, smashing through every obstacle, until finally it appeared before the spatial barrier of the God-Demon Dominion.
Facing the multicolored, star-river-like spatial barrier, the USS Dauntless crashed into it with full force.
Violent energy surged as the bow of the USS Dauntless tore open a spatial rift. The ship squeezed through, and as it disappeared, the rift slammed shut, unleashing a massive magical storm that ravaged the land for miles, destroying everything.
Inside the captain’s cabin, it felt as if they were standing in the void itself—endless space, pitch black, nothing visible except behind them, where a massive spatial rift was closing with force.
Only then did the violently shaking USS Dauntless finally settle down.
"Archmage Leon, did we end up in the wrong place?"
Hubert stared blankly at the surrounding void, completely baffled as to how he’d ended up in a place like this.
Leon glanced at Hubert. The constant dangers lately had made this once carefree, lazy Dragonblood Orc much more cautious.
They hadn’t gone the wrong way, but Leon didn’t bother to explain.
On the way here, the USS Dauntless had accelerated for a long time, consuming much of its already limited energy just to crash through the spatial barrier of the God-Demon Dominion.
You have to understand, what you see of the God-Demon Dominion from the outside isn’t very big—it’s only a projection, because that’s where the Dominion is closest to this plane, and you can only see the projection from there.
In reality, the two worlds aren’t actually pressed up against each other. If they were, the connecting area would have long since become a hellish chaos, and it’s possible both planes would have fused or collapsed.
Without the bloodline of Constantine, there’s no way to open the path to the God-Demon Dominion. The fastest and best way, naturally, is to use the USS Dauntless’s formidable power to crash through.
The USS Dauntless itself has a significant connection to Constantine. Even a faint link between them is enough to prevent getting lost. That’s how the ship’s power forcibly opened a path between planes.
After entering the God-Demon Dominion, Leon didn’t move the USS Dauntless, since he needed its massive bulk to forcibly keep the unstable planar path open.
Opening a planar path isn’t easy, but once it’s open, maintaining it doesn’t require much power from the USS Dauntless. Its sturdy hull alone can keep the path from closing.
Unfortunately, after Felton suddenly broke through to the Heaven Tier, his personality seemed to change—becoming crazed, evil, and ruthless. They could only summon the USS Dauntless, which was still supporting the planar path.
With the USS Dauntless gone, the forcibly opened unstable planar path naturally closed.
This time, trying to force open another planar path from inside the God-Demon Dominion was impossible—the USS Dauntless didn’t have enough energy left for such a feat.
In the end, they could only use most of the Dauntless’s remaining energy to forcibly break through the spatial barrier of the God-Demon Dominion.
Where they were walking now was the fissure between the plane and the God-Demon Dominion—the crack in this world.
Here, there was nothing but endless void, with occasional surges of chaotic energy—extremely dangerous. Any creature below Heaven Tier appearing here wouldn’t last long before dying miserably.
A random chaotic storm could cover hundreds of kilometers, making it impossible to dodge. There’s no magic here, so dying of exhaustion is the only option.
Only a warship like the USS Dauntless, with formidable defenses and the ability to travel at extreme speed toward a set destination, can navigate through here.
Leon set the course with the Spellbook of Ages, then stopped worrying about the Dauntless’s navigation. In this void, there were no reference points, and it didn’t even feel like the ship was moving at high speed—only Leon could sense it, and the Dauntless was moving at a terrifying pace, at least dozens of times faster than in the plane.
