Bullying Tactics

"Th-this can't be! My diamond... How could it possibly be fake!?" Damian Shi was stunned, his eyes wide with disbelief as he muttered to himself.

"Come on—it's obviously a fake! Still won't admit it, huh? Playing tough like a dead duck, that's even more disappointing. Seriously, how did you get the title of 'Nanning City's Number One Prince'? Must've been through trickery and scams, you're the real con artist here!" Shawn Young continued to mercilessly roast him.

"You're—you're lying! I'm not that kind of person! I've never bought anything fake—" Damian Shi was so frustrated he nearly exploded, his face turning from green to white in sheer embarrassment.

Shawn Young simply shook his head and sighed, "Sigh—But you saw it yourself, facts speak louder than words—your diamond necklace is clearly a cheap knockoff. I really don't get why you're still acting so indignant. You think everyone here is blind or an idiot?"

"You—you—" Damian Shi was so flustered he couldn't get a word out, but with the truth right in front of him, he had no way to argue.

"Uh—" The crowd around them was just as stunned. Shawn Young deliberately dragged them into the conversation, since they had all clearly seen him crush those 'fake diamonds' earlier. To deny it now would basically be admitting they were idiots. The group fell silent; some of the women began to look at Damian Shi strangely, while the men had even more complicated expressions. Damian Shi had always been the poster boy for 'rich second generation' elites! Now that he'd made such a fool of himself, not only was his own reputation ruined, but his loyal followers felt deeply betrayed as well!

Maggie Chang's gaze toward Damian Shi grew conflicted and troubled. She shivered, her voice cold as she said, "Mr. Shi, I never thought you were this kind of person! Using cheap tricks to fool a helpless girl like me! Hmph—you—you're despicable!" With that, Maggie shot Damian Shi a fierce glare and turned to leave.

"Maggie—don't, don't go! I didn't lie to you! This diamond necklace really was bought today at King Fortune Jewelry—I even have the receipt!" Seeing Maggie about to leave, Damian Shi grabbed her arm. After all, Maggie was the woman he'd been after for ages, and he'd already done all the 'prep work' to win her over. If she walked away now, he knew it'd be nearly impossible to get her back—unless... he used force!

Maggie Chang furrowed her elegant brows and said coldly to Damian Shi, "Mr. Shi, let go of me. You lied to me, but I won't hold it against you. We have nothing between us anyway, and I'm going home now. Please don't come looking for me again—"

"Maggie, I swear, I really didn't lie to you! Please believe me—" Damian Shi was truly panicking now, gripping Maggie Chang's arm and refusing to let go, while his mind raced to figure out how to handle the situation.

"Didn't lie? Forget the fake diamond necklace, I never wanted it anyway. But you even used my father's whereabouts to trick me—you're just too much! I won't trust you ever again. I don't need help from Damian, the Prince of the Shi Family. I'll find my father myself, now let go—" Maggie Chang said coldly, twisting her arm to break free.

"No, no, I won't let go. Maggie, please, trust me! I can buy you another necklace right now! And about your father—I really do know where he is, I'm not lying—" Damian Shi, seeing things fall apart, clung to Maggie's hand and swore up and down.

"No, I don't need it anymore. Just—just let me go—" Maggie Chang struggled, but Damian Shi had clearly made up his mind to keep her, refusing to let go. Maggie's strength was no match for his; after a bout of struggling, she still couldn't break free, her pretty face flushed with anger.

At that moment, Shawn Young stepped up to Damian Shi and shook his head with a sigh. "Sigh—Damian, the Prince of the Shi Family, you've got some seriously thick skin! First you tried to fool Miss Chang with a fake diamond necklace, now you're using her father's situation against her! Do you really think she's just a pushover you can toy with?"

Damian Shi turned and glared fiercely at Shawn Young, a nameless rage burning in his chest. This random guy kept ruining his plans again and again, and Damian Shi was itching to tear him apart. In a fit of anger, he snapped, "Mind your own damn business, punk! I do what I want, and who's gonna stop me? Get lost!"

"Wow, wow—looks like Damian, the Prince of the Shi Family is really losing it, resorting to such trashy language! Ha—didn't you just say you'd apologize to Miss Chang and everyone if those diamonds were fake? Guess that was just hot air, huh?" Shawn Young sneered, completely unfazed.

"Damn it—what do you want, punk? Everyone here is with me! I call the shots!" Damian Shi finally showed his true colors, acting like a total bully.

As he spoke, Damian Shi waved his hand, and several rich kids with dyed blond hair jumped out, surrounding Shawn Young with menacing looks—they were clearly planning to use their numbers to intimidate him!

"See that, punk? I've got plenty of people on my side. Now listen up—Maggie Chang is mine! In this place, I call the shots! You'd better get lost right now, or don't blame me for getting rough!" With his loyal cronies backing him up, Damian Shi straightened his back and his voice grew even harsher. He'd given these hangers-on plenty of perks, and they'd even partied together with women—so when it came down to it, they were more than ready to stand up for him!

"Oh—fine, fine, you win. With all these people, ganging up on me, I can't beat you!" Shawn Young's expression changed as he quickly retreated, looking genuinely panicked.

Minnie Wang, Helen, and Mai Kanda exchanged glances at this scene. Minnie Wang whispered to Helen, "Helen, Shawn Young is such a good actor! It's a shame he doesn't do it for a living!"

"Totally! I think so too! Hehe—" Helen giggled, clearly enjoying the show.

Alex Easton, on the other hand, was clueless. When he saw Shawn Young 'getting bullied,' he immediately rolled up his sleeves and rushed forward, blocking the crowd and shouting, "What, you think you can bully my bro just because you've got numbers? Want a fight? Bring it on!"

Shawn Young quickly grabbed Alex Easton, winked at him, and shook his head. "Let it go, boss. They've got numbers, and a wise man knows when to back down! Let's not get involved in this mess."

"Uh—okay!" Alex Easton didn't really get what was going on, but when he saw Shawn Young winking nonstop, he realized Shawn must have a plan, so he played along.

"Hmph—good thing you two know your place!" Damian Shi was elated now that he'd gained the upper hand.

"Damian Shi, let me go! I want to go home! I don't want to stay here any longer!" Maggie Chang cried out, struggling again, but no one dared help her—everyone was intimidated by Damian Shi's power.

"Home? Heh—sure, why not come to my place! The environment's great, you'll love it—" Damian Shi had no intention of letting Maggie Chang go. Watching her struggle, her chest heaving and her pitiful beauty on full display, a twisted sense of pleasure surged in him. He was even tempted to force himself on her!
