Ten Thousand Poisons Array

1/4/2026

Staring at the barrier around them, streaked with green poison veins, everyone was a bit dumbfounded.

Outside the barrier, Baxa had taken human form, his figure towering, eyes blood-red and wild as he burst into laughter: "This is the Ten Thousand Poisons Array! Enjoy it, my esteemed High Gods! Hahaha!"

With that, he vanished.

Everyone stared at each other, speechless.

"What the heck is going on?" Lucia Lu asked Adrian Drake.

Adrian Drake was fuming: "Looks like Baxa set up this ambush here before attacking the city!"

"Who even is this guy? Why is he attacking the city?"

"He's the clan chief of the Helm Clan. Back in ancient times, the Helm Clan was a branch of the dragon race, but after their Divine Vein declined, their ancestors settled in the Lowwilds," Adrian explained. "Recently, Baxa suddenly went berserk—he attacked the Xuanchen Clan's territory, then their city, and today he set fire to Shanggao City! Seriously, what a menace!"

"So, what made him suddenly snap?" Lucia Lu asked.

Adrian Drake shrugged, "Who knows? I guess we'll only find out if we drag him back!"

Just then, Snow Yuan suddenly shrieked, "Ah!" and leapt straight into Damian Black's arms. "Bug! Bug!"

Damian casually waved his hand, sweeping away the fat, green bug that had crawled onto her skirt.

But she kept clinging to his neck, pointing at the cliffs on both sides of the gorge and shouting, "There are so many poisonous bugs climbing up! So many bugs!"

At this moment, they were all floating at the very top of the barrier.

From the pitch-black abyss below, more of those same bugs crawled out, bouncing up toward them.

"Don't panic, don't panic!" Lucia Lu said, pulling out a repellent powder. With a surge of Divine Power, she scattered it around them, and the bugs all retreated.

Damian Black quickly pushed Snow Yuan away.

Snow Yuan bit her lip, shooting Lucia Lu a dissatisfied look.

Why did the bugs retreat so quickly?

"Everyone spread out and see if there's a way to break the barrier and get out," Adrian Drake said.

So, everyone spread out to investigate.

The barrier was super solid, and the abyss below was crawling with poisonous bugs and ants. Thick green miasma kept rising up—honestly, even for immortals, staying here too long would mean getting poisoned.

Lucia Lu was about to pull out some miasma-clearing medicine when she noticed Snow Yuan looking a bit dizzy, about to fall on Damian Black again.

Seriously, a Saint Maiden always clinging to a 'minor immortal' for protection—what's up with that?

Lucia Lu stifled her laughter and reached out to catch Snow Yuan. "Saint Maiden, are you feeling dizzy or short of breath?"

Snow Yuan really was a little uncomfortable, but not quite fainting. She rubbed her chest and nodded.

"Here, take this pill. You'll feel better after," Lucia Lu said, handing her the medicine.

Snow Yuan took the pill and swallowed it, but didn't thank her—just looked a little sulky.

Lucia Lu secretly laughed—yep, the girl was definitely doing it on purpose.

Was it just because Damian was good-looking?

She flew over to Damian Black and handed him a pill too. "Damian, take this quick! The poison miasma is really nasty."

He had the lowest cultivation, so Lucia gave him the pill first.

Damian's ears turned faintly red as he glanced at her, took the pill, and swallowed it—still didn't say thanks.

Lucia Lu handed out pills to everyone else, one each.

After taking the antidote pills, everyone felt refreshed—at least for a while, no one would get poisoned.

"Senior sister, what do we do now?" Adrian Drake asked. "Any way to break the array?"

Lucia Lu shook her head. "I don't know much about formations, honestly."
