Return to the Demonic Realm

1/19/2026

Originally, Roxanne Lin and Jenny Sima were supposed to be the stars of this wedding, but Evan Chu ended up spending the night with Selena. Afterward, Selena felt she’d gone a bit too far. “Evan, you should be with your actual brides. Even though the ceremony was interrupted by the dark organization, you never finished the final step of the wedding. I really think you should go be with them, don’t worry about how I feel. I trust you to handle this the right way.”

“Sel, you’re too considerate. What’s the final step, anyway? The bridal chamber, right? If you think about it, those two were actually the first to share a bridal chamber with me—way before anyone else. You’re worried they’ll misunderstand you, but trust me, Roxanne and Jenny aren’t petty like that. If they were, you wouldn’t all be sisters now.” Evan laughed.

Thinking back to how hard it was to win Selena’s heart, Evan couldn’t help but sigh. It had been a rough road, but all that was behind him now. Only two things were left to settle; once those were done, he could finally relax for a while.

“I still think it’s not right,” Selena said weakly. “It’s almost dawn—go on, before the sisters start saying I’ve hogged you all night!” She knew Evan hadn’t really gotten his fill, and she just wanted him to be happy.

Seeing Selena’s determined look, Evan grinned. “Alright, get some good sleep. In a few days, we’ll head back!” He hopped off the bed, flashed into the earth, and vanished. Watching his disappearing figure, Selena murmured softly, “Meeting you really is the greatest blessing heaven ever gave me.”

When Evan popped up in Roxanne Lin’s room, he found Jenny Sima there too. The two women jumped slightly as he emerged from the floor. Jenny teased, “Evan, you know there’s a door, right? You just love being mysterious. Weren’t you with Selena? How could you bear to leave her and come here?”

Evan chuckled, “Jenny, are you jealous? Look, I’m here now. You both know Selena’s situation is special—I have to handle this carefully so she doesn’t feel left out. I know what happened was unfair to you two, but please don’t take it to heart.”

Roxanne replied calmly, “You’re overthinking it. We’re not bothered at all. It’s not like we haven’t been with you before, so there’s nothing to ‘look forward to’ in that sense. What I’m thinking is, now that we’re officially married, the sisters want to sort out seniority—who’s first wife, second, and so on—so when we have kids, it’ll be easier to keep things straight.”

Evan glanced at them and said, “Honestly, I’ve never thought about that. What ideas do you have? We’re all sisters here—does it really matter who’s ranked higher?”

Jenny chimed in, “Roxanne’s your first woman, so she should be first. I’m the second you met, so I’ll be second. Rhea Yang and Lily Tang are third and fourth, Selena’s fifth, Claire Ouyang’s sixth, Sis Ping is seventh, Rina Dream eighth, and Lynne Nie ninth. It’s not about age or beauty—just the order you met us.”

Sis Ping is seventh, Rina Dream eighth, and Lynne Nie is the last. We’re ranking by the order you met us, not by age—what do you think?” Jenny explained.

Evan almost blurted out the names Faye Knox, Princess Ivy, and Lillian Zhang, but swallowed the words. If you counted sword spirit Luna and Violet Thunder Fox once she takes human form, his harem was even bigger. Honestly, it was a little mind-blowing how many women considered themselves his.

“Whatever, if you care about it, that’s your business. I’m not interested in rankings. The only thing I’m interested in right now is your bodies—so come on, let your husband take good care of you!” Evan said with a wicked grin.

That ‘care’ lasted straight through until noon. When Evan finally stopped, he glanced at the two women sleeping soundly, cleaned himself up with Watershift, changed into fresh clothes, and quietly left the room.

Evan dropped by Dominic Chu’s courtyard to explain a few things, then went back to his own room. With so many women, he couldn’t possibly take care of everyone at once. To be fair, he decided to see no one else for now and spent two days alone cultivating. He’d hit a bottleneck—breaking through wasn’t going to happen overnight.

On the third day, Evan finally left his room. He explained to everyone that he’d be heading to the Demonic Realm with Selena, then set out with Shadow and Goldwing. The other women didn’t object; they knew Selena’s situation needed to be handled properly, or misunderstandings could fester.

The entrance to the Demonic Realm was actually hidden within the Heavenly Dragon Empire’s territory—a secret barrier only Demon-Clan cultivators could sense. You had to release demonic qi to reveal it; since Humans didn’t have demonic qi, entering alone was basically impossible.

Once Evan and Selena entered the Demonic Realm, he realized it was just like the Godfall Battleground—a separate, sealed region with no sun or moon, everything pitch-black. It was a lot like the Netherworld.

Along the way, they ran into quite a few Demon-Clan people. As soon as Selena returned, she released her royal-grade demonic qi, which kept most trouble at bay. “Evan, the Demon Royal City is just up ahead. This time, you’ll see how lively my clan’s capital is—it’s every bit as grand as any Human city,” Selena said proudly.

“Should I disguise myself or something? Walking into the royal city with a Human might stir up trouble. You’re a princess, but bringing a Human man into Demon territory seems a little risky,” Evan said.

Shadow and Goldwing had already returned to Evan’s body, so now it was just the two of them. Evan wasn’t afraid of anyone here, but picking fights in Demon territory would only make things harder for Selena.

“No need. I’m a princess—bringing a Human back isn’t a big deal. Once we reach the city, I’ll have Lynn meet us at the gate. You can just stay inside the carriage and avoid all the fuss. You haven’t forgotten Lynn, have you?” Selena smiled.

Of course Evan hadn’t forgotten that innocent Demon-Clan girl. Back then, she’d been badly hurt saving him, and he’d fed her medicine mouth-to-mouth. Lynn had always liked him, and in another life—without so many women—she might’ve been a good match. But for Evan, she could only ever be a passerby.

“Not at all. It’s been ages since you’ve seen her too—I wonder how she’s doing now.” Evan said. The Demonic Realm was pitch-black everywhere, but strangely, he could still see everything as clearly as if it were broad daylight. It was pretty mysterious.

“You’re curious why you can see so clearly, aren’t you?” Selena caught Evan’s puzzled look and asked.

Evan nodded. “Is there some kind of secret here?”

“Actually, it’s all an illusion. The Demon Clan does have a sun and moon. Every newcomer sees nothing but darkness for the first three days—after that, things go back to normal. Why? I’m not really sure. They say it’s the work of an ancient Demon King, but what it’s for, nobody really knows,” Selena explained.
