Watershift's overwhelming affinity let Evan Chu approach the Great White Shark King with ease. Right now, he could clearly sense the terrifying aura radiating from its body. Evan had no idea whether this shark king could transform into a human shape or even speak, but one thing was certain: if he fought this colossal monster head-on, he probably wouldn’t be its match.
The Great White Shark King swam incredibly fast. Evan had to push himself to the limit just to barely keep pace beside it, but this beast stubbornly refused to open its mouth for ages, leaving Evan increasingly anxious.
“This won’t work. I have to find a way to make it open its mouth. Just waiting like this isn’t an option.” Evan thought to himself. The problem was, he needed the shark king to open up without detecting him, which was no easy task.
After a moment, he came up with an idea. He quickly established resonance with the water elements in this domain, and in an instant, discovered that communicating with water elements here was almost absurdly easy—just a few breaths and it was done. Even more terrifying, the elements gathered at such a speed that he could barely control them.
With a thought, Evan condensed the gathered water element molecules into a Mystic Ice sword over ten meters long and sent it slashing toward the Great White Shark King. The blade instantly froze the surrounding waters into Mystic Ice.
The Great White Shark King was instantly frozen in place, the sword carving a deep gash into its massive body. Blood surged out, only to freeze into blood-ice. The shark king, ruler of these waters, never imagined it could be attacked here—someone actually dared to provoke it in its own domain? That was courting death.
Stung by pain, the Great White Shark King couldn’t help but open its enormous jaws and let out an indescribable roar. Evan seized the moment—he surged forward, riding the flow, and slipped straight into the shark king’s mouth, sliding down its esophagus.
Soon he arrived in the shark king’s stomach—a vast chamber filled with stomach acid, like a giant lake and utterly revolting. Evan held his breath and floated in the air above the acidic pool, refusing to touch it.
The stomach acid was obviously highly corrosive. Evan, despite his strong defenses, wasn’t arrogant enough to risk direct contact. He called out to Jade Chu, “Jade, protect me—I need to break through this guy’s stomach and get into its belly, or it’ll just vomit me out if it retches.”
Inside the Great White Shark King, Evan’s presence went completely unnoticed. The shark king, wracked with pain, was frantically searching the water for its attacker, but after ages, it still had no clue.
With Jade Chu’s energy shield enveloping him, Evan slowly sank beneath the stomach acid. Then he drew the Frostbane Sword, drove his Chaos Dragon Force to its limit, and unleashed Star-Cleave. The devastating blow tore open the Great White Shark King’s stomach and pulverized its other internal organs.
Now that Evan’s power was fully restored, this Star-Cleave could wipe out an entire city—so for the Great White Shark King, it was no contest. If he’d attacked from outside, the shark’s defenses might have held, but inside, with no protection at all, surviving such force was impossible.
Evan hadn’t expected to destroy all its organs in one go—the body was ripped to shreds, and blood flooded out, staining the water red for hundreds of meters and spreading farther every second.
Then Evan surfaced in the water. The shark king’s blood reeked, instantly attracting more Great White Sharks from afar. As the king’s body fragments flashed with blinding white light, two Immortal Tokens appeared in Evan’s hand.
Evan glanced at the tokens and, without hesitation, tossed them into his storage ring. He had to get out fast and hunt down the golden Great White Shark—really, it should be called the Golden Shark King.
He hadn’t gone far when a hoarse, ancient voice thundered: “Boy, you dare kill my son? Today I’ll grind your bones to dust!”
Evan turned at the sound. A white-haired old man appeared before him—he didn’t even need to ask; this was clearly the Golden Shark King. Somehow, the old monster could see him and had even transformed into human form. Eighth-Layer Venerable Martial Realm, truly heaven-defying.
Never lose face! Evan shot the old man a look and said, “You old fossil—if you hand over the tokens and the key, Grandpa Evan might spare your life. Otherwise, you’ll end up just like your useless son!”
“Shameless brat! You’re courting death!” The old man, enraged by Evan, flashed forward and struck out with his palm. Evan saw the water ahead part to either side, leaving a gaping void—just like standing on land. The force of the blow made the whole sea tremble; this geezer was aiming to kill him in one hit.
Evan wasn’t stupid—he wouldn’t let the old man succeed. His biggest trump card in the water was stealth, but now, against this monster, it was useless. Besides, martial techniques were awkward to use underwater. Evan decided to lure his enemy into the sky for the kill.
With Jade Chu and Tom Chu on his side, Evan was confident he could take down the old monster. He moved swiftly, breaking through the surface and soaring into the sky.
The old man’s blow missed, but he quickly gave chase. “Kid, you’re pretty fast. Today, I’ll make sure you die a miserable death. Kill my son and you’re doomed!”
Evan didn’t care—in fact, with Jade Chu and Tom Chu’s protective shields, even an Eighth-Layer Venerable Martial Realm couldn’t hurt him. He grinned and taunted, “You old fossil, you actually have a son? That’s bizarre. So who’s your wife? Bring her out so Grandpa Evan can meet her!”
Evan’s relentless taunting drove the old man into a fury. “Kid, taste my domain’s power!” As the words fell, Evan felt a massive surge of energy distort the space around him.
A crushing pressure slammed into the shield, warping its shape. Evan asked, “Jade, can this guy’s domain break your energy shield?”
“Don’t worry, Big Brother,” Jade Chu replied. “He’s only at Eighth-Layer Venerable Martial Realm—even if he were Ninth-Layer, he couldn’t break it. You should focus on dealing with him; his attacks are pretty fierce.”
