Rat-tat-tat-tat!
A barrage of fiery bullets crisscrossed through the air. As soon as the gunfire erupted, the North Korean male agent sprang into action, executing a series of tactical rolls and dodges, diving behind a massive steel-reinforced concrete barrier. The surrounding Japan Self-Defense Force commandos immediately flanked his hiding spot, firing as they ran, shredding the outer layer of the concrete barrier with a hail of debris.
Rat-tat-tat! The North Korean agent just stuck his gun out and sprayed wildly outside, temporarily halting the advance of the commandos. But they quickly charged forward again—they were itching to tear this troublemaker apart! The North Korean agent wasn’t about to let them catch him so easily. He emptied a whole magazine in one go, then spun around and started playing cat-and-mouse with the surrounding commandos.
The sudden appearance of the North Korean agent threw the whole test site into chaos. The nuclear warhead in the Nuclear Launch Silo had already been fitted with plutonium and was in the final stage of inputting the launch command. But now, thanks to this unexpected incident, the chief engineer in charge of launching the warhead hesitated to press the final button—because even the slightest mistake could be absolutely catastrophic.
"Go! Move!"
Jenna Chung seized the precious moment, called out quickly to Ken Fu and Shawn Young, then leapt toward the military Humvee parked next to the Nuclear Launch Silo.
Ken Fu grabbed Shawn Young and said quickly, "Let’s go! Now’s our chance—rush the command center at top speed! All the test data and files are in there. We’ll risk everything to get them! And if we can’t, we’ll destroy them!"
Shawn Young knew this was the critical moment. He followed Ken Fu, sprinting toward the metal-roofed command center on the edge of the test site. The distance was about 500 meters. After they’d barely covered 50 meters, a Japan Self-Defense Force commando spotted them. The guy reacted fast, raising his weapon to fire.
But Shawn was even faster. He shouted, "Break!"
A bolt of lightning exploded in midair, striking the guy right on the head—his skull burst open like a watermelon!
Turns out Shawn Young had already quietly summoned his Celestial Essence and activated his Second Sight, preparing to unleash the Heavenstrike Invocation for a rapid series of attacks.
Sure enough, as soon as the commando dropped, Shawn’s sudden move drew attention. But Shawn and Ken Fu had already dashed straight into the command center.
Many commandos who realized what was happening rushed toward the command center, making things tense. But once Shawn and Ken Fu burst in, none of the surrounding commandos dared shoot—because inside were Japan’s top scientists and nuclear physicists, worth way more than any soldier. A stray bullet could mean a catastrophic loss!
Ken Fu was sharp as ever. He instantly saw the key to the situation and said to Shawn, "Bro, you’d better figure out a way to take control of the command center! If we get this place, we’re in charge."
Shawn got the message. The moment he rushed in, the dozen commandos guarding the place reacted, raising their guns to fire. Shawn was ready to go all out—he raised both hands, gathered his energy, and shouted, "Break! Break! Break!!"
He waved his hands, and a row of dazzling lightning orbs rolled through the air, smashing into the commandos’ bodies at terrifying speed, perfectly guided by Shawn’s will.
Boom—boom boom boom!
Not a single commando managed to fire a shot before the Heavenstrike Invocation tore through them—lightning ripped their bodies apart, leaving them charred and mangled, their insides a bloody mess. They could only howl in agony before dropping dead, their corpses gruesome and pitiful.
"Everyone! Hands on your heads, squat down! Anyone who resists gets their head blown off!" Ken Fu, seizing the moment after Shawn’s thunderous attack, grabbed a light machine gun and aimed at the crowd, instantly taking control.
In the spacious command center, over a hundred scientists and researchers froze, not daring to make a move—they’d just hesitated for a second.
Rat-tat-tat—two bursts of gunfire tore through the air. Two scientists who tried to sneakily grab weapons and attack were shot in the head, collapsing instantly.
Seeing Ken Fu kill those scientists without hesitation, everyone else in the command center immediately squatted down with their hands on their heads. They weren’t soldiers—heck, even the commandos had been wiped out in seconds by Shawn Young’s terrifying attacks. Who’d dare risk their lives now?
"Bro, keep an eye on them—I’m grabbing the data!" Ken Fu quickly spotted a balding old man with a bushy white beard and scholar’s glasses, crouching by the Main Terminal. Ken marched over, jammed his gun under the guy’s chin, and growled in Japanese, "Tell me the computer password—now!"
The old man shuddered, but then shouted back at Ken Fu, "No way! Absolutely not! I’d rather die than let you get the password! You’ll never get any secrets from me—just kill me!"

Ken Fu paused, glaring at the old man’s furious, bloodshot eyes. Then he glanced at the computer screen—and realized the Main Terminal wasn’t even locked. The nuclear launch program was still running, and there were two black keys inserted on either side of the terminal. Ken instantly understood: just turn both keys at once and the launch countdown would start.
Ken Fu grinned wickedly. The old man was clearly the chief engineer in charge of launching the nuke. Ken sneered in Japanese, "You want to die? Easy! We don’t need you anymore anyway!"
The old man was horrified. He turned and realized he’d forgotten to lock the Main Terminal—rows of data were still scrolling on the screen, and the launch program was entering its final parameter adjustments. His face went ghostly pale, and he lunged for the computer, desperate to shut it down.
Bang!
As the gun went off, the old man lunged forward, blood spurting from his head as he collapsed by the Main Terminal. Ken Fu twisted the light machine gun around, stepped over the corpse, and started working the computer. He began copying the data—he’d been professionally trained as a hacker, so downloading the files was a piece of cake.
Suddenly, the hundred-plus scientists and researchers under control got all riled up. Someone started it, and soon they were shouting and standing up, ready to risk it all and fight Shawn Young and Ken Fu.
Ken Fu shouted to Shawn, "Kill them—don’t let them get near me! Just give me a few more minutes and I’ll have all the data!"
Facing the prospect of slaughtering over a hundred people—especially ones so valuable—Shawn hesitated for a moment. Then he came up with an idea. He formed the Celestial Guardian Seal with his hands, quickly gathered his energy, and chanted: "Heaven and earth are natural, all laws return to the source, the five directions wander, the spirits are set, drive out evil and bind the wicked, by divine command—release!"
He raised his hands, and a wave of violet light enveloped the crowd in the command center. Instantly, everyone froze up like wooden puppets and collapsed to the floor. Their minds stayed awake, but their bodies wouldn’t respond—Shawn had cast a supercharged Binding Spell and locked down the whole mob.
Just then, two huge explosions boomed outside. The North Korean agent, who’d drawn off the commandos, had pulled the pins on two grenades and charged the enemy, going out with a bang!
Meanwhile, the commandos outside the command center got orders from their commander to storm in and rescue the scientists. A few burst in, only to have Shawn Young blast their heads with the Heavenstrike Invocation. But more and more commandos kept coming in waves, like a whole army!
Shawn was under serious pressure. He turned to Ken Fu and yelled, "Hurry up! Are you done yet? There’s too many of them—I can’t hold out much longer!"
"Just about one more minute! Hang in there!" Ken Fu shouted back. But more and more commandos kept pouring in, and Shawn had to keep unleashing the Heavenstrike Invocation to hold them off. Still, they just kept coming, fearless and relentless!
Suddenly, gunfire erupted outside—heavy machine guns and explosions. The roar of a jeep engine thundered through the chaos, and Ken Fu cheered, "Ha! Jenna Chung pulled it off!"
Boom! A military Humvee barreled through the hail of bullets straight into the command center. Jenna Chung leapt from the driver’s seat onto the roof, grabbed the heavy machine gun, and unleashed a storm of bullets at the surging commandos, mowing down the ones in front.
"Are you guys done yet? Hurry up! There’s way too many of them—and their backup is coming!" Jenna shouted as she fired away.
Beep beep!
Finally, all the data was copied from the Main Terminal. Ken Fu grabbed the disk, ran toward Shawn Young, then doubled back to check the computer screen. He quickly entered a set of commands, grabbed the two keys, and twisted them at the same time. The nuclear launch rack in the silo shifted position and changed coordinates.
A huge red countdown timer appeared on the screen!
