Treasure Location

12/2/2025

Ryan Ouyang gently stroked her head and smiled, "If Miss doesn't mind, why should you be upset?"

Susie Yun huffed, "Is it wrong that I just don't like Liam Liu? Ji Mo Tian is much better than him, so why did Xiao Rou choose him?"

In front of Susie Yun, Ryan Ouyang always had to concede, "Alright, alright, Liam Liu is the most annoying!"

Susie Yun pursed her lips, frowned, then tugged Ryan Ouyang's hand in apology. She knew she was spoiled by him and sometimes threw little tantrums, but she just couldn't like Liam Liu!

Morgan Shangguan glanced at Susie Yun, her eyes thoughtful. She suddenly realized that Susie had a knack for judging people!

Back then, Susie Yun didn't like Claire Yi, and neither did Mona Shangguan!

Morgan Shangguan's gaze fell lightly on Liam Liu. He had suffered serious internal injuries, reportedly from saving Marjorie Wan. She knew that by rescuing her, he had completely won Marjorie Wan's heart, and now Marjorie had made her choice.

She hoped she was wrong this time, otherwise...

Just as Ethan Gu predicted, once everyone learned that the treasure was hidden on Snowpeak Mountain, they unanimously decided to set out immediately. Who had the patience to prepare slowly now? Although there were no towns near the mountain, they would pass through a few in the coming days and could buy supplies during their rest stops.

Outside the valley, the group was already prepared to set out.

Just as Damien Gray was about to board the carriage, he suddenly paused, turned to Morgan Shangguan, and said, "It seems the Cloud Guildmaster’s carriage won’t be ready in time. For the sake of the treasure, I can offer you a ride!"

Morgan Shangguan was about to respond when a woman wielding a sword approached her and said, "Cloud Guildmaster, the Pavilion Master invites you to ride together."

At these words, Morgan Shangguan turned her head and saw Phoebe Feng, Pavilion Master of Phoenix Song Pavilion, seated inside her carriage. The curtain had yet to be lowered; seeing Morgan look her way, Phoebe Feng smiled and nodded gently.

Morgan Shangguan raised her brows slightly. Phoenix Song Pavilion belonged to the Righteous Path and shouldn’t want any connection with someone from the Evil Path like her. Why would she invite her to share the carriage?

Clearly, she had yet to realize her own allure. Mainly, because the other party was a woman, she naturally wouldn't think in that direction. Moreover, as Pavilion Master, Phoebe Feng was skilled at hiding her emotions, showing no sign of affection on the surface.

Damien Gray glanced at the woman. Though she was a woman, if she wanted to compete for Morgan, he wouldn't hold back! The corners of his lips curled as he said, "So the Cloud Guildmaster and Pavilion Master are so close. It looks like Phoenix Song Pavilion will soon belong to the Cloud Guild. My congratulations in advance, Cloud Guildmaster!"

At these words, everyone looked at Phoebe Feng. Members of the Righteous Path were unwilling to associate with the Evil Path, yet Phoebe Feng had invited the Cloud Guildmaster to ride with her. Was she truly interested in Cloud Guildmaster? If that were the case, Phoenix Song Pavilion would inevitably become part of the Evil Path!

Even if it wasn’t affection, Phoebe Feng’s actions made it clear there was something ambiguous between her and Morgan Shangguan. For a moment, the crowd’s gaze was filled with suspicion, reproach, and curiosity.

Morgan Shangguan was completely unaffected. If Phoenix Song Pavilion joined the Evil Path, those from the Evil Path would be delighted—they couldn't wait for the Righteous Path to be overshadowed! And what right did the Righteous Path have to blame her? In the end, no one wanted to offend the Cloud Guild at this moment. If anyone was to blame, it was their own side for not being strong enough. Clearly, it was Phoebe Feng who was currying favor first!

Under such stares, Phoebe Feng couldn’t help but shrink back. Phoenix Song Pavilion wasn’t powerful; if it was deemed connected to the Evil Path, it would lose its footing in the Righteous Path. All her efforts would be for naught. She glanced at Morgan Shangguan—though she felt some affection for the Cloud Guildmaster, it wasn’t enough to risk everything. She signaled the woman beside Morgan to return, lowered the curtain, and looked away, clearly choosing to give up.

In the end, Morgan Shangguan naturally boarded Damien Gray’s carriage.

The group traveling this time was almost the same as those who had previously come to Healer’s Sanctuary. Most of those who had waited outside the valley before were now dead. The ones who had once been furious seemed to have forgotten about the dead, thinking only of the treasure, hurrying as if fleeing for their lives.

Inside the carriage, Morgan Shangguan reclined in Damien Gray’s arms and laughed softly, "Satisfied now?"

Damien Gray wrapped his arms around her, kissed the top of her head, and said, "You barely slept last night. Rest for a while." He had gone to great lengths to bring Morgan onto his carriage—not only to be close to her, but also because he knew she hadn’t rested.

He knew Morgan only truly let down her guard and relaxed in front of him. Only at his side could she get the best rest—provided, of course, he didn’t go too far!

Morgan Shangguan nuzzled his shoulder, found the most comfortable spot, and laughed lightly, "Is the Ghostmaster making up for his mistakes?"

Damien Gray slipped his arm around her waist, held her hand, and chuckled, "How could it be a mistake? I’m helping my Princess Consort fulfill her wish!"

Morgan Shangguan arched an eyebrow at him. Her wish? Damien Gray touched her belly and said, "Doesn’t Princess Consort want a daughter?"

At his words, Morgan Shangguan snorted lightly, "If it’s not a daughter, just wait—I’ll turn your whole world upside down!" With that, she closed her eyes to rest.

Of course, she wouldn’t seriously pursue his excuse. After all, it was she who indulged him; if she refused, Damien Gray would rather wrong himself than force her. But what could she do? She was soft-hearted! He couldn’t bear to force her, and she couldn’t bear to disappoint him.

And besides, when it came to Damien Gray, her self-control was simply too weak—she was always tempted by his beauty!

Damien Gray’s lips curled up. He kissed the corner of her eye, propped his head on one hand, and gently stroked her hair with the other, gazing at her sleeping face with nothing but tenderness in his eyes.

As time passed, Ethan Gu’s heart sank little by little. All along the way, he hadn’t found any trace of Maxwell Jing. He had already dispatched many from the Ghost Guild to search the route from Healer’s Sanctuary to Snow Mountain, but nothing had been found.
