Returning to the Former Home

Why does it feel like I'm bringing my eldest son with me?

Clearly, Jiro Hirayama is only a year or two older than Cecilia Gu.

But the way Jiro Hirayama looks at Cecilia Gu—why does it feel so weirdly like a mother-son relationship?

No wonder. Over the past few days, Cecilia Gu has used her incredible Go skills to completely crush Jiro Hirayama’s pride and sense of superiority, trampling it underfoot again and again.

Jiro Hirayama is a prickly genius who never listens to anyone. He thinks his IQ far surpasses that of ordinary humans, so he always acts like he’s above everyone else.

When he first learned that Cecilia Gu’s genes were unique in his lifetime, he even arrogantly thought that creating a life with her blood and his genes would be the greatest blessing she could ever receive.

But now...

"Cecilia Gu! Sis Cecilia! Goddess Cecilia! Dearest Cecilia! I’ve just thought of another way to crack the Go puzzle—do you want to try it?" Jiro Hirayama has totally lost his dignity!

Cecilia Gu casually placed a Go piece on the board, not even glancing at him, and continued discussing the trip to Capital City with Charles Yin.

"Perfect timing—the company has just opened successfully. According to Ruona, although Newport City’s market still has lots of room for growth, the more markets we open, the better. There’s an upcoming Cultural Exchange Gala in Capital City, and Professor Mu will represent the university there. Ruona isn’t comfortable letting Professor Mu go alone, so she’ll tag along to check out Capital City as well. We figured we’d go too—one, to learn from their academic scene, and two, to promote our cosmetics brand. By the way, haven’t you built up some assets in Capital City?"

Charles Yin smiled and nodded, "Sure, you can go wherever you want. I haven’t been idle these three years! Any resources you need in Capital City, just use them. Your husband lacks everything but money!"

Cecilia Gu smiled with satisfaction. "That’s perfect. Zixuan is going to Capital City too. With money and connections, what’s there to worry about? It’s settled, then!"

The plane landed at Newport City Airport.

Standing on this land again, Cecilia Gu couldn’t help but feel a rush of emotions.

Three years.

She never imagined she’d stand here again as Cecilia Gu, ready to face everything from her past.

"Mom!" Two soft, childish voices immediately caught Cecilia Gu’s attention.

She looked over and saw Ethan Yin and Miles Gu in their adorable little suits, holding flowers and running toward her.

Cecilia Gu’s heart instantly melted!

Her feelings for these two children used to be more like simple fondness for kids.

But now, it was an overwhelming sense of responsibility.

These are her children! Her sons, whom she risked her life to protect!

They were her emotional anchor for ten months, and now the driving force for the rest of her life!

Cecilia Gu immediately knelt down and opened her arms to the children.

Miles Gu deliberately slowed his steps, letting Ethan Yin rush into Cecilia Gu’s arms first before walking over himself.

Cecilia Gu saw Miles Gu and felt a pang of sympathy in her eyes.

This child is only four years old, but already so sensible and considerate. It just makes her heart ache even more!

Cecilia Gu opened her arms to Miles Gu, "My son, now that Mommy’s back, don’t you want to give me a hug?"

Miles Gu’s red eyes grew even wetter. His eyes rimmed with tears, and he couldn’t control himself any longer. He threw himself into Cecilia Gu’s arms, hugged her neck, and choked out, "Mommy..."

"Miles Gu, you have my surname—don’t embarrass Mommy!" Cecilia Gu’s voice was soft as she kissed her son’s fluffy little cheek. Mmm, her son’s face smelled so sweet.

"Mm!" Miles Gu nodded seriously. "Mommy, you’re finally back!"

This is the real Mommy!

Now that his real Mommy is back, he’s no longer a child nobody wants!

Ethan Yin clung to Cecilia Gu, "Mommy, can I have your surname too?"

Hmph, he’d never admit he was a little jealous of his brother!

Charles Yin stood off to the side, looking awkward but spirited:

Son, do you dislike our Yin family surname that much?

"No way!" Cecilia Gu playfully tapped Ethan Yin’s nose. "You’re so naughty—just like your dad. Miles Gu is more like me, so quiet."

Ethan Yin gave his dad a pitiful look. His mischievousness was obviously inherited from his father!

Mr. Steward stepped forward happily and said with a big smile, "Young Master, Young Madam, everything at home is ready. Let’s go home!"

Young Madam has finally recovered! This is wonderful! The family will finally be reunited!

Charles Yin was quite happy too, about to agree, but Cecilia Gu smiled lightly and said, "No, I won’t join the crowd. After all, Charles and I are divorced."

Cecilia Gu straightened up and looked at Charles Yin. "Even though I remember everything now, we did officially sign divorce papers. If you want to be with me again, you’ll have to convince my family first! Of course, even if we’re divorced, I still have the right to see my children, right?"

Mr. Steward:

Young Madam’s aura is incredible!

She’s completely different from three years ago!

Charles Yin thought for a moment and understood what Cecilia Gu meant.

This time, marriage can’t be as rushed as it was three years ago.

He wants to give Cecilia Gu the perfect proposal and wedding!

He wants to give her everything in the world!

"Alright, you go rest at the villa first. Everything there is just as it was before," Charles Yin said reluctantly.

"I want to stay with Mommy too!" Ethan Yin quickly chimed in. "Grandma and Great-grandma have been busy lately, and the house is boring. We want to stay with Mommy!"

Charles Yin glared—if these two troublemakers go, won’t they disturb his sweet time with Cecilia?

Before Charles Yin could refuse, Miles Gu said calmly, "Studies show that kids who spend more time with their mother have higher IQ and EQ."

Hearing this, Cecilia Gu immediately decided, "Alright, you’ll all stay with me! Mommy has money, Mommy will take care of you!"

"Oh yeah!" Ethan Yin and Miles Gu high-fived, bursting with excitement.

At that moment, Jiro Hirayama, who’d been treated like background scenery, finally spoke up, "What about me?"

"Sorry, the guest rooms aren’t ready," Charles Yin replied bluntly.

What a joke!

Even if he’s not a love rival, no man should be living next door to Cecilia!

Whenever he’s around, he’ll always pester Cecilia to play Go with him!

How would there be any time for romance?

So, this situation must be avoided!

Cecilia Gu didn’t look or comment, not knowing if the guest rooms were actually ready.

Honestly, she didn’t want strangers living in her home, especially when she wanted quiet time with her two sons. Having someone always asking to play Go was just too much!

So, Cecilia wisely kept quiet.

Jiro Hirayama looked at Cecilia Gu with disappointment, then reluctantly called Mr. Henry Hirayama to arrange his own accommodation.

Cecilia Gu took her two children, said goodbye to the reluctant Charles Yin, and rode back to the villa.

As they reached the villa entrance, Mrs. Zhang and the old steward, along with the maids and servants, stood waiting to greet them. Cecilia Gu’s nose tingled, and she almost burst into tears.

Three years. She was finally home.

Everything was just as it used to be—nothing seemed to have changed.

Except now, she had two sons.

The car stopped steadily. Mrs. Zhang came over first to greet her, "Young Madam, you’re back!"

Just seven simple words, just like before.

Holding back her tears, Cecilia Gu nodded to Mrs. Zhang, "Mrs. Zhang, I’m home!"

Slowly getting out of the car, Cecilia Gu looked around. Everything was just as it had been three years ago; not a single thing had changed.

Inside the doorway, even the shoes were placed exactly as they had been when she left.

On the living room shelf, the dolls were all spotless, displayed alongside other decorations worth tens or hundreds of thousands.

Really, it was just like before.

Suddenly, the sound of car brakes came from outside, and Rona Muir’s voice floated in through the door: "Cecilia Gu, you jerk! You came back and didn’t even tell me. Do you know how worried I was about you?"

Rona Muir’s voice echoed through the hall as the door swung open—bold and commanding!

Cecilia Gu looked at Rona Muir helplessly, said nothing, and simply opened her arms.

Seeing Cecilia’s familiar smile, Rona Muir’s eyes reddened. She rushed forward, hugged Cecilia tightly, and complained, "How does a simple romance turn into so much drama!"

Yes, what was supposed to be a simple love story ended up including a tea contest, an earthquake, a tsunami, an assassination attempt, and even picking up a stray person...

"I’m just glad you’re safe... really, I am..." Rona Muir hugged Cecilia even tighter. "You scared me to death!"

"But I came back safe and sound, didn’t I?" Cecilia Gu gently patted Rona Muir’s back. "Thank you for never giving up on me these past two years!"

"Hmph!" Queen Rona replied with a proud snort.

At least you have a conscience!

"Rona, when are you heading to Capital City?" After catching up, Cecilia Gu changed the subject. "I plan to go this time too. The Yun Family is about to rise, and I can’t miss such an important event as the Cultural Exchange Gala."

"I knew you’d go!" Rona Muir glared at Cecilia. "I’ve already spoken to my dad. We’ll go together!"

Cecilia Gu smiled and nodded.

"But tell me the truth—now that you’ve regained your memory, what are your plans?" Rona Muir wouldn’t let the topic go. "You’re going to Capital City to help the Yun Family return to the cultural scene, which is fine. But the faster the Yun Family rises, the sooner you’ll have to fulfill your marriage contract with Max Mo, right?"

Now that you’ve regained your memory, how will you choose between Max Mo and Charles Yin?

Cecilia Gu didn’t want to hide anything from Rona Muir, so she told her everything about Charles Yin’s explanation.

Rona Muir was stunned for a moment before saying, "Do you know who’s hosting this Cultural Exchange Gala? It’s the Mo Family!"
