"Mrs. Wan, can you tell me where their house is?" Bella Wan looked at her with pleading eyes.

Aunt Leah shook her head. "It's not that I won't tell you, but you're all alone, with no power or influence. If you just show up at their door and something happens, wouldn't that be my fault?"

Bella Wan dropped to her knees with a thud. "Please, Mrs. Wan, just tell me! I'm not afraid of them!"

"Oh, don't do that!" Aunt Leah quickly helped her up, her face full of kindness. "Actually, finding Loyalty Manor isn't hard. In a few days, it's Jason Zhuo's wedding. Just go wherever the excitement is!"

"Jason Zhuo's wedding?"

Aunt Leah glanced around, then leaned in and whispered, "There'll be so many guests there, they can't just ignore you, right?"

Bella Wan's eyes lit up instantly. "Thank you, Mrs. Wan!"

"Listen, you absolutely must not tell anyone we talked! I never even met you, got it?"

"Got it! Don't worry, Mrs. Wan!"

...

Although Princess Olivia Gu was no longer part of the royal family, the Zhu Family still treated her with utmost respect.

Every ritual and formality was observed, all in accordance with the standards for the Zhu Family's eldest son marrying his official wife.

On the wedding day, crowds of people arrived.

The Yuan Family and Shane Family both showed up.

Evan Xiao and his group came too.

Jun Lionhead was there as well.

Naturally, Queenie Zhu and her family attended.

Plus, Joanna Zuo, Zachary Stone, and other members of the Spirit Alliance were present.

There were also plenty of officials from the court.

First, Minister Zhuo held a significant office;

Second, they're related to General Evan Xiao by marriage.

The elite and nobles of Yan City were generous with their presence; plenty of people came.

Even those who couldn't make it sent gifts.

The bride was staying in the suburbs, so the groom, not wanting to miss the lucky hour, set out early to fetch her.

Evan Xiao, as the soon-to-be brother-in-law, played best man and tagged along.

As the auspicious hour approached, everyone—grownups and kids alike—stood outside the manor gates, waiting for the bride to arrive.

That's when trouble struck.

Lady Zhao, wife of Duke Zhao, brought Andrew Zhao right to the manor gates.

Then, in front of all the guests, she wailed, heartbroken: "Everyone, come judge for yourselves! Loyalty Manor thinks they can bully us just because General Evan Xiao is their son-in-law. Look what they've done to my son! They've ruined him... completely!"

Everyone stared curiously at the lounge chair. Andrew Zhao lay there, pale as a ghost, unconscious and barely alive—he looked truly pitiful.

Because of one sentence—"Drag Queenie Zhu into the alley and let them have their way with her!"—Evan Xiao ruined Andrew Zhao.

Afterwards, Duke Zhao personally went to General Evan Xiao's estate to demand an explanation.

But he didn't even get to see Evan Xiao.

There were plenty of soldiers at the general's estate, and Duke Zhao didn't gain anything. He was so angry he nearly coughed up blood, and he filed a complaint with the emperor.

Before the emperor, Evan Xiao denied injuring Andrew Zhao.

Emperor Tuoba Hong asked Duke Zhao to provide evidence.

Then Duke Zhao had the guards who were with him at the time testify.

But the laws of the Vermilion Kingdom state that close relatives and personal attendants can't be witnesses.

So, by law, the emperor refused to recognize their testimony.

And Duke Zhao couldn't produce any other evidence.

So, the lawsuit just fizzled out...

Lady Zhao must've been furious, because she took advantage of the crowd today to bring her son here!

"You wretched Zhu Family! May you all die horrible deaths! I curse you to be childless, for your whole clan to go to hell..." Lady Zhao was a real character—she hopped around cursing for a full fifteen minutes, never repeating herself once.
