Although Tina Sky was just a receptionist, she came from a good family.
So she grew up fearless.
Plus, her dad was a middle manager at Yin Enterprises, so naturally, no one in the company gave her a hard time.
That’s why she dared to say what others wouldn’t.
She did what others wouldn’t dare.
Casey’s face turned blue with anger. "You, you, you..."
"What did I do? Did I say anything wrong? Even in a tiny company with five people next door, you need an appointment just to see the janitor!" Tina Sky rolled her eyes in disdain. "If you want to get ahead, you’ve got to know the rules!"
Casey was furious and was about to rush over, but Howard stopped her.
Casey didn’t get it, but Howard knew very well that if they caused trouble in the Yin Enterprises cafeteria, they’d never be allowed near here again.
"Casey, calm down," Howard said directly. "You don’t want Charles Yin to see you losing your temper, do you?"
This sentence is more effective than any magic pill.
Casey, who was furious just moments ago, suddenly became as quiet as a mouse.
Cherry Miller and Tina Sky both clicked their tongues in admiration.
President Yin’s charm is truly extraordinary!
It’s like a magic artifact for suppressing anger!
"Oh, so you’re all here for our president," Tina Sky couldn’t help but mock. "But you’ve come for nothing. Our president would never eat in a basic cafeteria."
What Tina Sky didn’t say out loud was: Give up, you foolish woman! Our president belongs to Cherry Miller! No one can take our president away from Cherry Miller!
Cherry Miller tugged at Tina Sky and said, "Forget it, let’s go eat."
"Let’s go, time to eat!" Tina Sky snorted at Casey with her nose in the air, then happily went to find a seat with Cherry Miller.
As the saying goes, truth is often stranger than fiction.
Normally, Charles Yin would never show up at the basic cafeteria.
But as luck would have it...
After Charles Yin returned to the company, the first thing he did was ask where Cherry Miller was.
His assistant replied that she’d gone to the basic cafeteria for lunch.
Charles Yin was a little surprised, but quickly accepted it.
He knew very well that many employees in the company were close to Cherry Miller; it was perfectly normal for them to have lunch together.
"Then let’s have lunch in the basic cafeteria today," Charles Yin said to Howard.
"Alright," Howard nodded and immediately turned to make the arrangements by phone.
Charles Yin walked briskly toward the basic cafeteria.
Ever since they made up, he just couldn’t bear to be apart from Cherry Miller, not even for a second.
So whenever they could eat together, they made sure to do it.
What’s a basic cafeteria, anyway?
Even if they ate at a street stall, it would feel sweet!
So when Charles Yin showed up at the basic cafeteria, the whole place nearly exploded!
President Yin!
President Yin?
President Yin, what are you doing here?!
Ahhh, President Yin!
Oh my gosh, who is that guy? He’s so handsome!
Wow! Is that the legendary current president of Yin Enterprises? Just as charming as the old president!
Oh my god, I think I’m in love! I can’t believe a man this good-looking actually exists!
......
Cherry Miller was just about to eat when she heard a commotion from far away. She looked up and couldn’t help but facepalm.
Why is he here?
Of course, Tina Sky saw Charles Yin too. Her eyes lit up like spotlights, scanning Casey at the entrance before whispering to Cherry Miller, "Miss Miller, you’d better watch out for that woman!"
"It’s fine," Cherry Miller replied calmly.
Charles Yin would never go for a woman like that—unless dinosaurs came back to life.
As soon as Casey saw Charles Yin, her eyes lit up and she jumped to her feet, rushing toward him.
But before she got within five meters of Charles Yin, someone stopped her.
"Miss, please step back." The person who blocked Casey was cold-eyed and ruthless.
Howard saw his beloved being stopped and immediately panicked, stepping forward to push the person away.
But just as he made his move, the person seemed to have predicted Howard’s action. With a light touch, he instantly caught Howard’s wrist.
Howard’s face changed dramatically!
This guy is strong!
"Sir, please don’t get too close." The man spoke coldly, treating Howard like any other ordinary person. "Without permission, please keep a safe distance."
Casey got anxious and grabbed Howard. "Think of something! I finally got to see Charles, I can’t just let him leave!"
A trace of fear flashed in Howard’s eyes. For the first time, he didn’t respond to Casey, just stood there.
Casey saw Howard ignoring her and stomped her foot in frustration, then rushed forward again.
But this time, Casey was stopped by someone else before she could get close.
Charles Yin completely ignored the people rushing toward him. His mind was full of Cherry Miller as he strode over to her. "Why are you eating here today?"
"Hello, President Yin!" Tina Sky greeted loudly. "I invited Miss Miller to eat here today."
"So it’s you, Tina." Charles Yin nodded at her. "You’ve worked hard these past few days."
"It’s not hard at all, it’s my duty!" Tina Sky said cheerfully. "My dad says working overtime at Yin Enterprises is a blessing! Besides, there’s overtime pay and bonuses. Last month, thanks to Miss Miller, I got enough bonus to buy my favorite figurine!"
Charles Yin smiled. "Then you really should treat Cherry to a good meal. Mind if I join you guys?"
Tina Sky immediately jumped up like a loyal sidekick. "Not at all, not at all! If you need me to disappear, I’ll vanish right now!"
Cherry Miller couldn’t help but laugh. "Tina, you’re such a character. Come on, let’s all sit down and eat together."

Charles Yin sat down next to Cherry Miller, glanced at her lunch, and asked someone to bring him the exact same meal.
The whole meal, no one could disturb the three of them.
Casey tried everything, but couldn’t get within five meters.
As for those trying to get close to Charles Yin?
Ha, don’t even think about it.
No one can break through Charles Yin’s defenses.
After lunch, Tina Sky, being very perceptive, stood up and said, "Miss Miller, President Yin, there’s a lot going on at the front desk today. I’ll head out."
With that, Tina quickly left.
Charles Yin smiled at Cherry Miller. "You really are popular with the ladies in this company."
Cherry Miller grinned brightly. "Yeah, so are you jealous now?"
"Yes, I am! So many people like you!" Charles Yin pinched Cherry Miller’s ear, pretending to be jealous.
"Aren’t you embarrassed?" Cherry Miller shot him a look. "Look at Casey—she’s been looking for you forever. She even chased you all the way to the company today."
Actually, Charles Yin had seen Casey long ago, but he didn’t want to pay attention to her—he was also worried Cherry Miller would get jealous.
See? She’s jealous after all.
"I swear! I barely know Casey," Charles Yin quickly explained. "I’m only friends with her dad."
"She chased you all the way from her own country, and you say you barely know her?" Cherry Miller brushed Charles Yin’s hand away. "It’s fine, I’m not a kid—I won’t get jealous over something like this. Just handle it. If you cause a scene at the company, your rivals will laugh at you. I’m heading back to Sunset Manor."
"Alright." Charles Yin nodded with a smile. "Let’s eat together tonight."
Cherry Miller nodded. "Okay."
After Cherry Miller left, Charles Yin finally let Casey approach him.
"Charles!" Casey was so aggrieved that tears welled up as soon as she saw him. "How could you treat me like this?"
"Oh?" Charles Yin walked out as he casually asked, "How did I treat you?"
"Charles, Cherry Miller bullied me!" Casey complained. "You have no idea what she did when you weren’t around. She said we’d compete fairly, but she didn’t tell me you were back! She even had people steal my things..."
Charles Yin had already reached the elevator and looked back at Casey. "So you came to me just to tattle?"
"No, I came to see you." Casey gazed at Charles Yin with infatuation. "I like you, I want to be with you. My father has already agreed!"
Charles Yin pressed the elevator button hard. "But I don’t agree!"
"You’re only rejecting me because of Cherry Miller, aren’t you? I used to think she was some kind of stunning beauty, but she’s so ordinary!" Casey grew frustrated. "I’m way prettier than her—why won’t you choose me?"
Charles Yin was getting impatient.
If it weren’t for her father, he wouldn’t even bother seeing her.
The mine still wasn’t fully developed, so he had to put up with her for now.
"Because I like ugly girls," Charles Yin replied irresponsibly.
"Uh..." Casey was stunned.
That answer was really beyond her comprehension.
"Charles, I want to compete with her!" Casey blocked the elevator doors. If she couldn’t play these games, she’d just be blunt: "I’ll prove to you I’m better for you. If you don’t agree, I’ll tell my father! You know what that means! If my dad tries to block your mining project, you’ll have a lot of trouble! You spent so much gold—you don’t want it to go to waste, do you?"
Sure enough, that threat worked on Charles Yin.
But Charles Yin wasn’t the type to be threatened.
He narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure?"
"I’m sure!" Casey nodded vigorously. "Just give me a chance!"
Howard, standing off to the side, looked at Casey with pity.
Such a naive woman!
Doesn’t she know that both Miss Miller and President Yin are wolves in sheep’s clothing?
They’d never play fair with her!
They’d eat her alive and not leave a single bone behind!
