Silver Dragon Chief

The Silver Dragon was instantly consumed by a sense of unbearable humiliation. To be toyed with by a lowly human drove him mad; his massive dragon head thrashed wildly, trying to shake Evan Chu off, but Evan clung to him like a magnet, impossible to dislodge no matter how violently he moved.

"Little mud-eel, you're just too weak. Go find someone stronger—I don't have time to waste on you. Killing you would be child's play, but I'm not interested. I'll let you off this once; maybe you'll learn to show some gratitude." Evan Chu said, then flashed away from the Silver Dragon's head.

The Silver Dragon was so enraged by Evan Chu’s words that his whole body trembled. His lantern-sized eyes burned with towering fury. “Brat, today it’s do-or-die between you and this dragon!” he roared, then swept his massive tail at Evan Chu.

Even before the dragon tail reached Evan Chu, he sensed a powerful surge of wind-element energy closing in. In an instant, the wind condensed into countless giant wind blades. Evan judged that these blades were a bit weaker than the ones he could produce with his own Windshift technique, but not by much.

A Sixth-Layer Saint Martial Realm expert would be instantly killed by these wind blades, but to Evan Chu they were nothing. Seeing that the Silver Dragon still didn’t know his place, Evan grew angry. If he didn’t teach this guy a lesson, the dragon wouldn’t sound the alarm and bring out stronger Dragon Clan experts.

He flashed forward, charging straight into the wind blades and the incoming dragon tail. The wind blades crawling over Evan Chu’s body felt like ants—just a ticklish, tingling sensation, posing zero threat to him.

The Silver Dragon wasn’t stupid. Seeing that his strongest attack, Dragon Tail Whip, couldn’t hurt Evan Chu—and that Evan had pushed through his wind blades to close in on the tail—a sense of doom welled up inside him. It was too late to pull his tail back; all he could do was dart sideways, hoping to escape disaster.

This time, Evan Chu decided to show the Silver Dragon what real power looked like. With a thought, he unleashed Heart-Sword—a massive beam of sword-qi shot from his fingertip, slamming into the Silver Dragon’s body. The dragon screamed as most of his giant tail was destroyed by the blow; blood rained from the sky like a downpour.

Evan Chu’s attack wasn’t meant to kill—the point was to make the Silver Dragon scream in pain and draw out other Dragon Clan members. The Fire Dragon and another Silver Dragon were shocked by the youth’s terrifying strength. The wounded Silver Dragon crashed to the ground, smashing out a huge crater.

Now the Silver Dragon couldn’t move at all. His dragon eyes stared helplessly at Evan Chu in the sky, with no way to retaliate. The Fire Dragon rushed down to check the Silver Dragon’s injuries: “Lord Silver Dragon, how bad is it? Should we call for the Golden Dragon Guard to deal with this guy?”

"Definitely call them. I want this lowly human to die in agony—I'll burn his body and devour his soul, make him suffer endlessly until he dies." the Silver Dragon snarled through gritted teeth.

Meanwhile, the other Silver Dragon in the air remained calm and didn’t attack. Instead, he looked at Evan Chu and said, “You’re strong—maybe one of the top humans. I know I’m no match for you myself. I’m just curious: how did you get into Divine Dragon Valley? Not just anyone can come in here.”

"You don’t need to know who I am or how I got here. You only need to know one thing: I came to Divine Dragon Valley to reach the Dragon Shrine. If you don’t want to end up like that Silver Dragon, get out of the way. For now, I’m not interested in killing Dragon Clan members." Evan Chu said.

"You think I’ll just let you through? Guarding Divine Dragon Valley and keeping outsiders away from the Dragon Shrine is our duty as dragon guards. If you want to get in, you’ll have to kill us first—otherwise, we’ll never let you pass. One more thing: this is only the outer perimeter of Divine Dragon Valley, and we’re the weakest dragons here. Even with Silver Dragon blood, we’re too weak to be valued much.

If you want to reach the Dragon Shrine, be ready to die. I won’t fight you myself—I have to look after my companion. The Silver Dragon Commander will be here soon, and then you’ll be finished. He’s the number one expert in the outer valley." said the Silver Dragon.

"Thanks for the tip. Just for that, you’ll be the next Silver Dragon Commander out here. Don’t ask who I am—if I say I can do it, I’ll make it happen. Now I want to see just how tough this Silver Dragon Commander really is." Evan Chu laughed.

The Silver Dragon didn’t take Evan Chu’s words to heart. He transformed into human form and flew to his wounded companion’s side. Just then, a colossal dragon roar echoed nearby—a Silver Dragon over a thousand meters long appeared before Evan Chu.

"Lin Feng, that Silver Dragon Chief has Second-Layer Venerable Martial Realm strength—and this is only the outer perimeter. The inner chiefs might be Fifth or even Sixth-Layer Venerable Martial. Be careful. As for the Dragon Shrine master, their power could rival Demon Lord Solus himself," said the Sword Spirit.

"I know. No matter how strong they are, I’m not afraid. For my mother, for you—even if I die, I won’t flinch. I will reach the Dragon Shrine." Evan Chu said.

The Silver Dragon Chief shrank his massive body into human form, glanced at Evan Chu, and said, "Human, you’ve got guts—causing trouble in your Silver Dragon grandpa’s territory, even injuring my subordinates. If I don’t tear you to pieces, it’d be too cheap for you. Still, you’re a talent. If you have any last words, go ahead and say them. I won’t promise to grant your wishes, but it’ll amuse me to hear what a lowly human does at death’s door."

"Little mud-eel, you’re all talk. Last words? If anyone needs them, it’s you. Second-Layer Venerable Martial Realm and you dare act tough in front of me? Looks like I’ll have to kill you to get into the Dragon Shrine. You think you’re strong? Fine, let’s go play in a spatial black hole." Evan Chu laughed.

He took out the Frostbane Sword from his storage ring, gave it a slight shake, and swiftly drew a slash—a spatial black hole appeared right in front of him.

The Silver Dragon Chief was instantly stunned—this youth could tear open space with a casual sword strike. That’s not something ordinary people can do. Clearly, this kid was no simple intruder.

Evan Chu ignored the Silver Dragon Chief and stepped directly into the spatial black hole. His plan had changed—only by making the biggest possible scene could he reach the Dragon Shrine. The Silver Dragon Chief was destined to die.
