As Evan Lin spoke each word,
the water dragon carried him soaring into the sky. Every drop of lake water was drawn up, merging completely into the dragon’s massive body!
The dragon’s body stretched a full hundred meters long, as thick as a tree that ten people could barely encircle—its presence was absolutely overwhelming!
“Is that a dragon?!” Down below, everyone craned their necks to watch the water dragon shoot skyward. Some faces went pale, lips quivering in shock.
“It really is a dragon! Evan Nine Mysteries Lin can actually summon dragons?”
Someone gulped, face ashen, legs giving out from the sheer excitement—they couldn’t help but drop to their knees and bow to the sky!
Queenie Tong and Lucy Lu stared blankly at the water dragon suspended in midair, utterly dazed. The teen standing atop its head was radiant and proud, looking like he owned the world!
“Last time, Damon Wang only blew up your Medicine King Valley’s gate—looks like he went way too easy. Today, I, Evan Nine Mysteries Lin, have come in person. It’s an honor for your Valley, but instead of welcoming me, you throw up roadblocks outside the gate? Unforgivable!”
Evan Lin spoke coldly.
As his words fell, the soaring water dragon dove straight toward the entrance of Medicine King Valley with ferocious force.
The dragon’s body, forged from thousands of tons of lake water, was as solid as steel. With a deafening boom, it smashed into the cliff wall at Medicine King Valley’s entrance.
Like it never got tired, the water dragon kept ramming the cliffs. All of Medicine King Valley echoed with thunder as the dragon hammered away.
When Evan Lin pushed off with one foot and leapt down to the valley mouth, the entrance had already been smashed open—a gap over a hundred meters wide. Rubble was swept aside by the dragon’s tail, clearing a broad highway!
“He… he’s inside the Valley!”
On the far shore, the crowd watched Evan’s figure grow smaller as he walked deeper into Medicine King Valley. Faces went stiff with shock and disbelief.
Warren Wu couldn’t help but swallow hard—what he’d just witnessed was way beyond his understanding. Even Medicine King Valley’s elders couldn’t match that kind of power!
“Master Lin, wait for me!”
Snapping back to his senses, Warren dashed toward the Valley, shouting at the top of his lungs, terrified Evan Nine Mysteries Lin would leave him behind.
Originally, Warren planned to deliver Evan to the gate and then make an excuse to slip away. But now, seeing Evan’s sky-shattering strength, his heart burned with hope—maybe he could grab a piece of the action.
Once, Warren had been kicked out of Medicine King Valley and humiliated. Now, watching Evan about to enter, he couldn’t help feeling restless and eager.
He ran toward Medicine King Valley.
The colossal water dragon’s tail swept out, scooping Warren Wu up and tossing him straight toward Evan Lin.
In a flash, Warren landed at Evan’s side, and the soaring water dragon instantly dissolved back into the lake, vanishing without a trace.
On shore, the crowd watched the lake return to calm. Evan Nine Mysteries Lin’s figure faded from view as he entered the Valley—everyone was left stunned.
The atmosphere was silent and heavy. Only after a long while did someone finally sigh deeply.
“Too bad. Now that Evan Nine Mysteries Lin’s inside, Medicine King Valley’s bound to be in chaos. With no boats, there’s no way for us to get there. This whole trip was a bust.”
“We didn’t get any spirit medicine, but at least we saw Evan Nine Mysteries Lin in person—famous all across Seacrest Prefecture! Just seeing that legendary water dragon was worth it.” Someone shook their head in awe, still lost in the memory.
“So… do we just leave?” Lucy Lu glanced at Queenie Tong, hesitant.
Judging by the situation, Queenie’s attitude toward Evan earlier had clearly annoyed him. Even if he hadn’t said anything, it looked like their hopes of getting medicine from the Valley were pretty much dead.
“Wait.”
Queenie gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, and clenched her fists, her gaze complicated as she stared toward Medicine King Valley.
Luckily, there were guest rooms and food near Fisherman’s Pier for petitioners—otherwise, they wouldn’t have survived here.
“Let’s go.”
Evan Lin spoke coolly, gazing at the wide road cleared by the water dragon.
Beside him, Warren Wu glanced back at the now-calm lake, swallowed hard, then looked at the shattered entrance to Medicine King Valley—his respect for Evan came from the heart.
He hurried to Evan’s side and explained, “Medicine King Valley is usually surrounded by that lake. Normally, people seeking medicine have to cross the water to the entrance—only those with ‘fate’ get let in.”
“Even though we’re here, we still have to be careful. There are rumors about a valley-guarding formation, and apparently the Valley Master has been in seclusion for years and hasn’t shown his face.”
“The Valley Master’s supposed to be unfathomable—not someone ordinary folks can compare to. And Elder Thomas Tu holds the keys to the defensive array. On top of that, there’s the Valley-Guarding Sacred Beast—a Blue-Flame Blood Python. They say it’s been fed all kinds of spiritual herbs and is raised with care. I’ve never seen it, but I’ve heard it can breathe fire. Pretty terrifying.”
“If we really run into it, we’ll have to be extra careful.”
Warren looked around warily, eyes sharp.
On both sides of the road, jagged cliffs loomed. After walking over a thousand meters, the view suddenly opened up—patch after patch of small medicine fields, the air thick with herbal fragrance.
Evan glanced at the fields and instantly lost interest.
Herbs that young aren’t even worth Evan’s time.
As Evan and Warren walked deeper into the Valley, Elder Thomas Tu’s voice seemed to vanish into thin air.
When Evan and Warren finally stepped into the Valley proper, Evan swept his gaze ahead and spotted several people waiting just outside the inner gate.
The road from the inner gate stretched straight for over a kilometer. That water dragon was powerful, but apparently Medicine King Valley’s soundproofing was insane—none of the people Evan saw looked the least bit surprised.
These folks were decked out in designer brands, obviously from wealthy families.
They glanced at Evan, but one of them looked him over a few times, eyes shifting from doubt to hesitation, then finally asked, “Are you… Evan Lin?”
