The Fire Dragon glanced at the youth and laughed, "You want to know who I am? You're not qualified—because you're about to die. How dare you act so arrogantly in my territory? You've got guts, I'll give you that!"
The youth was even more shocked. He seemed to realize something, but couldn't be sure, and stared at Evan Chu in confusion. "Kid, who is he really? There's no way someone this strong could appear inside the Origin Worldstone. What's your relationship with him?"
"I told you before, but you still think you're clever. Didn't I already warn you there are powerful savage beasts in here? Your memory really sucks. He's my little brother. Weren't you trying to kill me? Well, you'll have to get past my little brother first!" Evan Chu said proudly, grinning.
The youth couldn't help but take several steps back, his expression a mix of shock and panic. Evan Chu's words left him completely baffled—calling a savage beast his little brother was unheard of! This was the youth's first time entering the Origin Worldstone; how could something so absurd happen in such a short time?
"King, are you alright? It's all my fault for taking so long and letting you be startled." The Fire Dragon said respectfully to Evan Chu.
Evan Chu waved his hand, "I'm fine. I'm actually very satisfied you made it back so quickly. I'll leave this guy to you—he seems to be a Heavenblade Sect disciple. People like him must be killed, otherwise they'll ruin my plans."
"Fire Dragon understands. A mere mid-stage God-Emperor ant isn't even worth my attention. Now, I'll grind this brat to dust. Anyone who disrespects my King must die—and die miserably at that!" the Fire Dragon declared.
The youth was dumbfounded. How could something like this exist—a savage beast that's actually the Fire Dragon, and it calls this kid 'King'? That must mean the kid is Dragon Clan too! Suddenly, he understood why his Lifebane Cursebug didn't work.
Only someone from the Dragon Clan could ignore Gu poison. Now he realized he'd been played for a fool, but it was too late for regrets. Facing a powerhouse like the Fire Dragon, even his own skills were useless—he could clearly sense the terrifying God-Venerable aura radiating from the Fire Dragon.
"Just my luck today. I never expected you to be Dragon Clan. If you can make the Fire Dragon call you King, then you must be a Golden Dragon. But why can't I sense any Dragon Clan aura on you? Who are you, really?" the youth couldn't help but ask.
"If you want me to answer your question, that's easy. But you have to answer mine first. Maybe then you can die with fewer regrets. You only get one chance, so make it count," Evan Chu said calmly. At this point, he had nothing left to worry about.
"What do you want to know? I might be from Heavenblade Sect, but my position is weak. There's not much I can tell you," the youth replied.
"That's fine. I know you won't know much. How many Heavenblade Sect disciples entered this time besides you? What are their strengths? And how many disciples like you does Heavenblade Sect have now?" Evan Chu asked.
The youth hesitated before answering, "There are five of us who came in. I'm only ranked third. My senior brother is already late-stage God-Emperor. If you'd met him, you'd probably be dead by now. Guess I just got unlucky running into you. Heavenblade Sect is strong—tens of thousands of disciples, most at the God-King Realm. If you think you can mess with us, you're asking for death.
And Heavenblade Sect has more than ten God-Venerable powerhouses. If I die in here, they'll definitely know it was you who killed me. Just wait—they'll hunt you down all across the God Realm!"
"Hunt me down everywhere? You think I'd be scared? And do you really believe a mid-stage God-Lord could kill a mid-stage God-Emperor? Who in the world would believe that? So I'm not worried at all. Since you're about to die, maybe I'll tell you a secret.
Maybe this secret will shake the whole God Realm. Want to know who I am? Why, even though I'm just mid-stage God-Lord, have you been unable to do anything to me for so long?" Evan Chu laughed.
"Who are you, really? The God Realm's never heard of someone like you before!" the youth asked in terror.
"Me? I'm just me. Never mind, I won't tell you after all—don't want to leave you with even more questions after you're dead. Fire Dragon, kill him. And don't forget the token on his body," Evan Chu said coldly.
At that moment, the Fire Dragon flashed forward and struck the youth with a palm. The youth couldn't resist at all, as if paralyzed by a binding spell, unable to move. The terror and despair on his face grew even more obvious.
"Evan Chu, you broke your word! You'll die a miserable death!" the youth shouted, but the Fire Dragon's palm had already struck him. The gap between God-Emperor and God-Venerable was an unbridgeable chasm—this blow utterly destroyed him, leaving not even a corpse. Only his storage ring remained, landing intact in the Fire Dragon's hand.
"Young Master, I've brought you all the storage rings you wanted!" the Fire Dragon said as he walked over to Evan Chu, producing several rings.
Evan Chu glanced over and saw there were eight in total. Clearly, the Fire Dragon's efficiency was impressive. "Erase all the divine sense marks on them—I don't want to waste my own effort," he said.
A few breaths later, the Fire Dragon finished the task. Evan Chu took the rings and checked them one by one, finding some with more than a dozen tokens, some with two or three, and the youth he'd just killed had only one. It was obvious he entered just to kill Evan and seize his treasures, not for Zoe Rainveil's Marriage Tournament.
"Fire Dragon, you did well. Now, our only priority is to break the restriction on my Timewheel Bracelet. Take me to your lair—no one will disturb us there. It's also the key to whether you can leave this place," Evan Chu said.
"Rest assured, King. Fire Dragon will do his utmost!" the Fire Dragon replied solemnly, then flashed away with Evan Chu into a massive cave deep in the mountains.
Evan Chu took out the Timewheel Bracelet and said, "Use your divine sense to inspect the restriction. I hope you can break it."
The Fire Dragon carefully examined the Timewheel Bracelet for a long moment before saying, "King, this restriction is incredibly strong. I can't guarantee I'll break it, but I have to try."
Immediately, a blaze-red sword-qi appeared in the Fire Dragon's hand and struck at the Timewheel Bracelet. Evan Chu wasn't worried about the bracelet being damaged—it's a top-tier God Realm artifact, on par with the Coiling-Dragon Ring, Ethereal Divine Shuttle, and Frostbane Divine Sword.
Now that all three supreme artifacts of the Frostbane Divine Palace were back in his hands, Evan Chu was determined to make full use of them... (To be continued this afternoon. My headache's gone, so at least two more chapters later—please support!)
