Shock

Melody Wood and her master raised their eyebrows, curious whether this mountain peak truly hid a God as the legends claimed.

"Three days—they only gave us three days. What will happen after that?" Lynn Lin asked anxiously.

"Just wait. Since the senior you mentioned told you to buy time, he must have his own plan," the white-haired woman said.

Lynn nodded, so the three of them waited here, while outside, the Wood Estate group felt as if each day dragged on like a year.

"Why is this so miserable? It's downright depressing," Young Master Wood complained.

"It's just three days. Look how anxious you are," Hamilton Wood said.

"Patriarch, I'm worried something unexpected will happen after three days," Young Master Wood said with concern.

"I've already said, everything here is sealed. It's impossible for them to escape, so we might as well wait obediently for that guy to show up," Hamilton Wood replied.

"Patriarch, do you really think Evan Yang will appear?" Young Master Wood asked suspiciously.

"Mm." Hamilton Wood answered.

"But with so many of us here, does he even have the guts? He's just a half-baked amateur, not even at Immortal Body level. At most, he can release a few bugs," Young Master Wood sneered.

"Those bugs may not even be his doing—there's no proof yet. The real reason I want to capture him is that he did something even more infuriating." Hamilton Wood said, thinking of the tunnels underground.

Young Master Wood didn't know exactly what Evan Yang had done, but he was certain that this time, Evan was doomed—no one could possibly save him.

And so, everyone waited for three days. Time ticked by, and soon even the last few hours of the third day were slipping away.

Young Master Wood went to the cave entrance and shouted, "Listen up! There are only a few hours left. If Evan Yang doesn't show up, then you'll be coming with us!"

Melody Wood and her companions walked out one by one and looked at Young Master Wood.

"There's still time left—what are you so arrogant about?" Lynn Lin snapped, glaring at him.

Young Master Wood, obsessed with marrying Lynn Lin, was stung by her rebuke, but could only hold back his anger. "Lynn, we're almost about to get married—don't shout at your future husband like that," he said, forcing a smile.

"Marry you? I never agreed to any of this—it was all forced on me by you people," Lynn Lin said, determined to make things clear today.

Young Master Wood, furious, looked at Lynn's Master, but Lynn's Master was helpless—she knew Lynn had already detoxified herself and was no longer under her control.

"Put the marriage matter aside for now—let's focus on what's important," the patriarch said.

Young Master Wood awkwardly stepped aside, and the patriarch continued, "Not much time left. Will he come?"

"I don't know," Lynn Lin replied bluntly.

"If he doesn't show up, I'll have no choice but to take you all away," the patriarch said.

"There's still time. Let's wait a bit longer," Melody Wood said.

The patriarch was curious—were they just waiting for Evan Yang? Did they really expect him to come and change the outcome? If not for his determination to catch Evan, he would have taken them away already.

"Fine. When time's up, we'll see what tricks you have left," the patriarch said.

So the standoff continued, with everyone waiting as the deadline drew near.

Meanwhile, inside the hot spring, Evan Yang was nearly finished. Feeling refreshed, he stepped out and smiled at the old man, "Thank you for the hot spring, senior."

"That was your own opportunity," the old man replied with a smile.
