"My attitude when talking to you? What kind of attitude do you expect from me when I talk to you!"
Faye Zheng listened to Evan Lin’s words, so furious that she was grinding her teeth.
Evan put away his phone, his expression calm as he walked past her. His fingertips brushed her sleeve, and he spoke lightly: "The place you should go is the restroom. Otherwise, if a grown woman wets her pants in public, that would be quite a sight."
With that, Evan walked straight back into the theater, not slowing his pace at all.
"You!"
Seeing Evan ignore her, Faye’s pretty face changed instantly. She turned to grab his shoulder.
But almost at the same moment, she felt a violent churning inside her body. That sudden urge to pee made Faye’s face go pale, her legs clamped together, feeling as if a raging river was surging through her.
"Just you wait!"
Faye shot Evan a hateful glare but didn’t dare hesitate any longer. She hurried off toward the restroom.
"Is something wrong? If you need to take care of something, Evan, you can go ahead," Claire Sheng whispered softly when she saw Evan return, worried she might be holding him up.
"It's fine. Let's keep watching the movie."
Evan shook his head.
Nina Pei looked thoughtful, while Lynn Chen kept her face tense, refusing to spare Evan even a glance.
That tumble just now had burned up all of Lynn’s courage. She was still trapped in the aftermath of her embarrassment, unable to recover, her mood especially anxious and uneasy.
Lynn was really upset.
The movie entered its second half. Only when the credits rolled and the theater lights came back on did a pale-faced Faye Zheng finally stagger to the auditorium doors.
She gritted her teeth, her body weak. She’d never imagined a trip to the restroom could take so long—and she guessed that just now, she’d probably lost a whole month’s worth of water!
"Junior Sister, what happened? I thought you ran out halfway through the movie."
Leo Li and his friends came out and, seeing Faye Zheng over there, were startled.
"Holy crap! Faye, did you run into some pervert in the restroom or something? You look totally wrecked!"
"I can't even stand up!"
The two second-generation rich kids were also shocked, their minds racing as they stared at the weak-legged Faye Zheng.
"What the hell are you thinking! Give me some water!"
Faye’s voice was weak but tinged with anger. She was badly dehydrated, her throat painfully dry.
Hearing her, Leo Li and the others quickly handed over a bottle of water. Faye gulped it down, drinking for a long time before she finally felt better.
By now, the movie was over and plenty of people were passing by, giving Faye ambiguous looks.
Faye was furious inside. After finishing the water and catching her breath, she swept her gaze across the room. Spotting Evan Lin coming out from his seat, she shouted, "You, stop right there!"
As soon as Faye spoke, Evan turned to look at them, his face calm.
"Who is she?" Lynn Chen’s heart skipped a beat. She quickly sized up Faye Zheng, her guard up.
She was already feeling annoyed by Claire Sheng and Nina Pei, and now this new girl was making things worse.
And the girls talking over there? They were all pretty and had great figures too.
Another rival?
The thought flashed through Lynn’s mind, leaving her indignant.
Claire Sheng and Nina Pei also turned to look in that direction.
Nina frowned when she saw Leo Li, her face instantly showing disgust.
"Evan Lin! What did you just do to me!"
Faye gritted her teeth, seething with anger.
After brushing past Evan, she’d been stuck in the restroom until now—there was no way that was a coincidence, not in Faye’s mind.
But with her legs still weak and her words just now, the way people were looking at her grew even more suggestive.
Lynn’s face darkened. She glared at Evan. "So you went out earlier just to see her?"
Evan’s phone had vibrated, so he stepped out. He’d only come back after quite a while.
Now, with this weak-legged girl blocking the way and shouting, it was no wonder Lynn’s imagination was running wild.
Claire looked confused, while Nina’s gaze grew even stranger.
"Why don’t you guess what I did to you?"
Evan let out a mocking laugh, his tone playful, completely ignoring Lynn’s question.
The guys in the crowd couldn’t help but burst out laughing at that.
Faye’s face flushed red with embarrassment and rage, her whole body trembling with anger.
"Hey punk, you’ve got a lot of nerve showing your face! Was it you who set up that whole thing on the bus last time?"
"I knew you were bad news! Daring to mess with us? You think you’re something, huh!"
The second-generation rich kids scowled at Evan, their faces unfriendly.
"You can run, but you can’t hide forever! Bet you didn’t expect to run into us here!" Leo Li stepped forward, face dark. "No matter what you just did to my junior sister, you’ll pay a heavy price for all your past actions!"
Leo Li shouted angrily.
Evan, hands in his pockets, walked down the steps from the seats, came right up to Leo, and slapped him across the face.
Bang!
With a yelp, Leo—caught completely off guard—flew into the wall, bounced off, rolled a few times, and then Evan planted a foot right on his face.
"I pay the price for my actions. You have to pay for your words."
Evan glanced down at Leo under his foot and spoke calmly: "Now I’ve made you take responsibility. When you’re ready, come make me pay the price."
Evan kept his foot pressed to Leo’s face, making him howl in pain.
The second-generation rich kids and Faye, who’d just been shouting, all went pale.
Only now did they remember—Master Yan had already gone back to Oceanport. Without him, none of them could possibly take on Evan!
"You... what are you planning to do?"
Faye’s voice was a little uneasy.
"Relax, I’m not interested in you. Just wait here—when I feel like leaving, I’ll come find you."
Evan shook his head and walked past them.
Lynn and the others hurried to follow.
Faye looked miserable, while Leo Li kept howling in pain.
"Just wait till we get to Oceanport—I’ll show him what paying the price really means!"
Leo’s tone was vicious; his hatred for Evan only grew.
"Once I find Master Lin, he’ll be the first to deal with you!" Faye gritted her teeth. "Evan Lin, just you wait!"
Outside the cinema, Lynn’s face looked awful. Faye’s appearance had left her mind in chaos.
Claire stayed quiet and obedient, while Nina’s gaze toward Evan grew even stranger.
Especially Evan’s last words to Faye—they left the girls with some bad ideas and made them more suspicious about his relationship with her.
The mood instantly turned heavy.
