"Armor?" Evan Yang had never worn any, nor did he want to. Seeing Evan's expression, Prince Adrian Wood laughed, "That's right, armor. Otherwise, how can you protect Miss Lin? Here, I happen to have a set—take it."
After speaking, Prince Adrian tossed a set of armor to Evan. The moment Evan caught it, he felt its heavy weight; it thudded to the ground, causing a stir. Evan said awkwardly, "It's too heavy, sorry about that."
"As a bodyguard, wearing armor is a must. I hope you get used to it soon. Next time I visit, I expect you to be wearing it. Otherwise, you'll be dealt with according to the Wood Family rules." Prince Adrian smiled, then turned and left.
Anyone with eyes could see Prince Adrian was making things difficult for Evan. Lynn Lin walked over, touched the armor, and muttered, "The armor is good, but it's way too heavy. He's definitely not a good person. Even I find it heavy—how are you supposed to walk in this?"
Evan examined the armor and found it quite impressive. At a glance, he estimated it could reduce an opponent's power by a tenth. But Prince Adrian clearly didn't expect Evan to be anything but ordinary—he meant to torture Evan to death and then take the armor back.
"It's fine. If I can't handle it, I'll find a way. You tidy up here; I'll check out the next room—it looks like there's another one. I'll go try it out," Evan said with a smile.
"What? You're leaving me here alone?" Lynn complained when she heard Evan's words.
"Why? Do you want to watch me change?" Evan grinned.
Lynn replied, "Go on, who wants to watch you change? I don't believe you—unless you're an Immortal body, how could you even move that thing?"
"I'll manage," Evan said with a smile. With a wave of his hand, the armor vanished.
"You have a Space Ring?" Lynn's eyes widened.
"Yeah, so what?" Evan grinned, then left the room for the one next door. That room wasn't simple either—it had everything inside. Only after Evan left did Lynn snap out of it and mutter, "You just put the armor on, it's not like you have to take off your clothes first. What's he up to?"
Evan just didn't want anyone to see his abilities. He summoned his Sacred Flame—just a small wisp this time, but even that was enough for him to refine the armor. After half a day, the armor was fully refined. Now, he could use it however he liked; it was as thin and light as a layer of clothing, able to appear or disappear with a thought.
"That idiot prince probably thinks I can't refine it and will stupidly wear it, trying to crush me with this armor. Ridiculous." Evan laughed to himself.
Prince Adrian really believed Evan couldn't refine the armor. In his mind, even Lynn, let alone himself, would have a hard time with it unless they found some special method. But he never expected Evan to have Sacred Flame and refine it so easily—now, the armor could shift and shrink at will.
After putting the armor away, Evan walked out of the room with a smile. He saw the servants busy in the garden, and Lynn was no longer inside. Looking closer, he realized she was ordering them to move flowers around. The garden was practically bald now, and Evan couldn't help but laugh and cry at the sight.
Seeing Evan behind her, Lynn quickly called him over. Evan had no choice but to walk up. When he arrived, Lynn asked, "So? I told you you couldn't even lift it. Even with a Space Ring, you can't put it on."
"Say whatever you want. I have my ways," Evan said with a smile.
Lynn looked at Evan's smile and really wanted to punch him.
"Alright, stop being smug. Hurry and take a look—how do you like these flowers? I cleaned them up," Lynn said with a smile.
"Very good, not bad at all. Your methods are impressive," Evan said with a smile.
"Of course. Keep an eye on them for me. I'm going back inside to deal with the rest." Lynn was still thinking about the things inside, so after speaking to Evan, she slipped away.
Evan was left watching fifty or sixty servants busy at work. When Lynn went back inside, a few male servants approached Evan, smiling, "Chief Steward Yang, we heard you're Lady Lin's personal bodyguard. We've learned a bit ourselves and wanted to ask for your guidance. Would that be alright?"
"Here to cause trouble?" Evan knew this was definitely another scheme by Prince Adrian.
Seeing Evan pause, one of them laughed, "What's wrong, Chief Steward Yang? Are you scared, or what?"
"Scared? Not really. It's just been a while since I fought—I don't want to hurt you guys," Evan said with a smile.
The servants cursed inwardly, but kept smiling, "Don't worry, Chief Steward Yang. We're not afraid of pain. Go ahead."
"Oh? You said it yourselves?" Evan smiled.
"Of course. I'll go first." A muscular servant stepped forward.
"If that's how it is, I won't hold back. Come on," Evan said with a smile.
The muscular servant was convinced Evan was done for—he wasn't even an Immortal body. He planned to beat Evan senseless, but Evan had already calculated his move. As the man attacked, Evan pretended to stumble back and exclaimed, "There's a bug under your foot!"
The man looked down curiously, and saw a spider-like insect biting his leg. Instantly, a piercing pain shot through him.
The people around had no idea what was happening. They only heard his screams and rushed to help. After searching, they found the insect was gone, and the servant had already fainted.
The servants had no clue what was going on, so they all looked at Evan in curiosity. Evan kept a calm face and said, "Looks like the bugs here are pretty poisonous. Everyone be careful, and check the area so it doesn't get away."
After Evan spoke, the servants hurried to search for the insect. In truth, Evan was secretly amused—his Ancestor of Ten Thousand Insects had bred plenty of bugs, many already at Immortal Sovereign void-solid level. Dealing with these servants was easy, but they never imagined Evan had such terrifying creatures.

Evan watched them busy, then went back inside. Soon, Lynn came looking for him, curious, "What exactly did you do?"
"What do you mean, what did I do?" Evan asked, feigning innocence.
"Then why are they all searching for something? They've dug up half the grounds," Lynn asked.
"Oh, really? Let me see." Evan said, then looked outside and saw a group digging everywhere. He laughed, "Well, after you went inside, one of the servants wanted to spar with me, but got bitten by a bug. So, as you can see, they're hunting for the insect."
"Wanted to spar with you? The bug helped out?" Lynn pieced it together, curious.
"Yeah, that's exactly what happened," Evan replied with a smile.
"That's unlucky for him. I thought something serious happened, but let them do whatever," Lynn said.
"Yeah, I think so too. I wonder what Prince Adrian will think when he sees this mess," Evan said with a smile.
"Even better. That's the effect I wanted. My flower pruning plus your earth-turning squad—perfect, haha." Lynn laughed.
Evan couldn't help but laugh, "You really have some tricks."
"Alright, that's enough. You go do your thing, I'll keep tinkering. Tonight, you sleep in this room, I'll take the other. We'll talk tomorrow if anything comes up," Lynn said.
Evan had no choice but to return to his room, but he didn't rest. He opened his divine sense and began studying the whole estate.
All night, Evan's divine sense stayed active. At one point, he sensed a surge of power in a certain area. Curious, he checked it out—it was a manor, empty except for one room glowing with light.
Curious, Evan saw someone cultivating inside. Green light radiated from the person's body, flowing in and out.
"What kind of technique is this—Wood Family's?" Evan wondered to himself. Just then, the cultivator opened his eyes and said, "Who is it?"
He released a barrier, locking Evan's divine sense inside. Although he couldn't see Evan, he could sense his divine aura—but Evan was only simulating it, so he wasn't worried.
"Who are you, and why are you sneaking into the Wood Family in the middle of the night?" The man was curious—no one had ever dared sweep the Wood Family with divine sense like this, but now there was a stranger's aura, which shocked him.
"Uh, I'm just passing by. Keep cultivating," Evan said with a smile.
"Damn it, you think you can just leave? Tonight I'll severely injure your divine sense!" The man snorted, and a violent, bloody energy surged in the barrier. Seeing this, Evan didn't dare linger—his physical body was unusable, so he couldn't fight back. He quickly withdrew his divine sense.
The man was shocked that Evan could exit his barrier so easily—it required extremely strong divine sense.
"Strange, who could it be?" The man wondered, feeling uneasy. Evan had already moved on, wandering elsewhere.
Evan arrived at a place called the Wood Immortal Hall. Formations surrounded it, making it impossible to see inside. While he was curious, a group of guards emerged, and another group entered. After the shift, both teams left.
"What kind of place is this? Why so many powerful guards?" Evan observed—all of them were at least Immortal Sovereign level. Using Immortal Sovereigns as guards showed the Wood Immortal Hall was no ordinary place.
Just as he wondered what was inside, a zither melody drifted out. The music was beautiful and intoxicating, but soon stirred a sense of impulse. Evan quickly steadied himself and muttered, "This music is dangerous—who could it be?"
Drawn by the sound, Evan followed it to a lakeside pavilion. There, a woman played the zither—the music alternated between enchanting and fiery, able to manipulate emotions.
"Didn't expect the Wood Family to have such a woman," Evan thought to himself.
