Julia Yu barely had time to react before Sean Young, all excited, started ordering a bunch of dishes for her.
Julia looked totally helpless.
Sean Young was four or five years younger than Julia, and with his childish looks and behavior, she just saw him as a kid.
Think about it—Julia usually deals with board members in their forties and fifties, sharp lawyers, or super efficient assistants.
Sean Young was the kind of guy who didn't know hard work or basic life skills, so Julia barely ever crossed paths with people like him.
So Julia's patience with Sean was pretty much how she'd treat a little kid.
It only took Sean Young a few minutes to order enough food to cover the whole table.
Julia glanced at all the food, shook her head with a sigh, but didn't say anything—she just picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
Sean Young had met all sorts of women, but he'd never seen anyone quite like Julia Yu.
Smart, classy, always calm.
"Julia, if I didn't know you grew up poor, I'd totally think you were born into some fancy family. You've got that vibe—just like those rich girls," Sean Young blurted out.
Julia put down her chopsticks and smiled. "Yeah, I picked it up from someone else."
"Who'd you learn from?" Sean Young asked, not really thinking. "Seriously, you nailed it!"
"Mrs. Charles Yin—Cecilia Gu," Julia said, not shy about it. "Her vibe is unreal. The Yun Family's been passing down their traditions for generations, and the kids they raise are just different. When I told her I wanted to brush up on etiquette, she got me a tutor from her family. Bit by bit, they fixed how I talk and act, taught me how to walk, smile, eat, all that stuff. If it weren't for that teacher, I wouldn't be like this now. Mrs. Charles Yin is my lifesaver."
Sean Young blinked, a little stunned.
To Sean, the Yin Family was like some palace in the clouds—so far away it felt unreal.
Especially someone like Mrs. Charles Yin. She was basically a goddess.
Totally out of his league.
"No wonder you carry yourself so well," Sean Young said, looking at Julia like a puppy. "You don't seem like someone who grew up poor at all."
"Thanks," Julia just smiled. "So, besides racing cars with your buddies, you got anything else going on?"
