Writing the Word 'Human'

12/15/2025

I quietly tilt my head back, feeling the power steadily swelling within my body. I can sense the Human Realm right behind me, a thunderous roar echoing in my heart, blinding me to everything in front of me. This overwhelming force causes my body to expand uncontrollably.

Gradually, my entire body turns pure white, cracks appearing in several places as golden energy seeps through. Half my cheek has split open completely.

With a thunderous boom, the Asura King—who had just knocked me flying—charges at me again, radiating a crushing pressure. His six fists strike my body with pinpoint accuracy, but I remain unmoved, slowly opening my eyes. With a crisp snapping sound, white fragments fall from my left cheek, and a long golden streak runs beneath my eye. I no longer feel pain; even the presence of the wraith within me has vanished.

“It truly is a formidable power—Human Realm awakening. But how long can you last, Ethan Zhang?”

The Asura King snarled viciously. I stared at him coldly, my heart emptied of anger, sorrow, and pain—everything lost the moment the Blood Jade left my body.

“Maybe so. This power won’t last long—but it’s enough to defeat you.”

I roared, and with a swift motion, the Asura King’s eyes widened in shock—the six arms striking my body were severed. In my hand was a sword as clear as crystal, its hilt adorned with a stark black-and-white Taiji symbol. The blade itself was oddly shaped, a physical manifestation of the Brilliant Star.

I glared coldly at the Asura King before me as he shifted form midair. Instantly, gray mist enveloped the space around me, freezing time itself. I watched as the Asura King regenerated his arms, launching fresh attacks at every part of my body.

The blows rang out, but I remained motionless—the immense power of the Human Realm rendered all his attacks useless.

Suddenly, as time resumed, the Brilliant Star in my hand slashed toward the Asura King’s head. He dodged, but in that instant, I was already behind him, pressing a hand to his spine.

“Go back, Asura King. This is not where you belong.”

With a deafening crash, a surge of pure power pierced straight through the Asura King. He howled in rage, plummeting toward the violet Asura Realm below. Instantly, I was before him; as he landed on the surface of the Asura Realm, I clamped a hand onto one of his heads. With a booming impact, the entire Asura Realm shook violently, massive cracks splitting its violet surface.

“Impossible... this power...”

The Asura King continued to rage, but I glared coldly at him. With a metallic ring, I drove the Brilliant Star into the surface of the Asura Realm and pressed down. The Asura King screamed in agony as the massive Asura Realm began to plummet downward, opening an escape route for the Ghost Sovereigns.

Thunder rumbled endlessly as gigantic, warped vortices formed in the surrounding space. Under my power, the Asura Realm kept falling. Gradually, I saw a massive, multicolored sphere—the Human Realm. I stopped. The Asura King slowly climbed up, glaring at me with fury. The space around us turned gray again, and time froze once more.

This time, I didn’t hold back. As the Asura King attacked with all his might, I caught his fist with one hand, crouching and baring my teeth. With a thunderous crash, he knocked me flying, but I drew the Brilliant Star again and charged straight at him.

With a swift slash, I severed all three of the Asura King’s heads, one hand pressed to the ground.

“Stay quietly beside the Human Realm.”

With a resonant hum, the multicolored lights on the Human Realm’s surface converged toward me. In that instant, the Asura King realized something was wrong and charged desperately. I felt a sharp pain behind me; as I turned, Tan Tian—his hand transformed into a beast’s fanged maw—plunged it into my chest. Immediately, the beast began devouring the power within me, but I felt no pain at all.

“Don’t panic. As long as the power’s form is completely destroyed, he’s doomed.”

Tan Tian spoke coldly as the Asura King once again raised his six fists.

“Fist... Rage...”

With a thunderous boom, my body split open instantly. Blood spurted from my mouth, and crimson liquid seeped from the cracks all over my body. I felt myself on the verge of collapse as a torrent of black energy surged past.

I tilted my head back as Tan Tian’s other hand transformed into a white beast, biting into my neck. They were trying to destroy my current form—this state, as Tan Tian called it, was the embodiment of power.

Suddenly, I sensed things above were still dire—Emperor God and Phantom Sage were about to strike at the Ghost Sovereigns. I glanced around quickly.

“Human Realm, give me all your power.”

I shouted, and with a sudden crack, Tan Tian’s eyes widened in shock. As I turned, I punched Tan Tian in the face; his body instantly disintegrated into countless particles, and a brown Corpse Jade appeared in the air. The moment I stepped forward, the Asura Realm beneath my feet began to tremble violently. Under the immense force, its surface started to collapse, and the Asura King was once again hurled away by a surge of power.

I raised the Brilliant Star in my hand and stabbed it toward the brown Corpse Jade before me.

A faint blue aura appeared beside me, accompanied by a fiery red glow. Sylvia Yan and Phantom Sage arrived at my side simultaneously, each pressing a hand onto my arm. Instantly, I steadied myself, dropping to one knee with a thud—I could barely hold on. The overwhelming power was about to collapse, my consciousness wracked with agony, but soon I regained control.

“Such immense power hasn’t collapsed—you’re the first I’ve ever seen, Ethan Zhang.”

Behind me, the Asura King roared in fury. But my biggest worry now was the Ghost Sovereigns above, locked in battle with Emperor God once again. Emperor God wanted to destroy them immediately.

“Why... don’t you leave?”

I gritted my teeth and uttered two words. My body was beginning to tear apart, my power still collapsing. I breathed quietly, glancing toward the Human Realm beside me.

“Is this your limit, Ethan Zhang? Show them where your true limit lies. If you’re going to die, at least make it a beautiful death!”

Earthly Soul’s voice rang out as a streak of black lightning struck down.

“I’d do that even if you didn’t say so.”

I turned my head, instantly suppressing myself as Phantom Sage and Sylvia Yan retreated. Phantom Sage grasped the brown Corpse Jade, floating upward. Blazing clouds formed before me as the Asura King struck again, but his fists could no longer harm me—stopped a meter from my body by an invisible force.

I turned my head slightly; fine cracks had appeared on my cheek, white fragments slowly flaking off. I raised the Brilliant Star in my hand.

“What are you planning, Ethan Zhang?”

With a swift motion, the Asura King’s eyes widened in shock. As I turned, a huge chunk of the Asura Realm was sliced away, exposing its black core. The Asura King whimpered in pain. I broke through the blazing clouds and appeared before Yin Chou, pressing a hand onto Emperor God’s fist as it reached for his head.

With a crash, Phantom Sage and Sylvia Yan were hurled away by the immense force. Tan Tian’s body was still regenerating. I stared silently at Emperor God.

“You’re going to die, Ethan Zhang.”

“Yeah, I know. I’m going to die. But you’ll die first.”

With a sharp crack, I crushed Emperor God’s entire arm into particles with one hand. I pressed my palm to his cheek and instantly appeared on the surface of the Divine Law, where streams of white energy continuously poured into my body.

“Divine Law, what exactly are you trying to do?”

With a thunderous boom, Emperor God’s eyes widened as his body exploded into particles. I turned and saw Tan Tian, newly restored, and thrust the Brilliant Star toward him.

With a metallic ring, I felt a solid resistance—the Brilliant Star had struck Tan Tian’s Corpse Jade. A flame flared before me, and with a thought, I scattered it. Sylvia Yan plummeted downward at high speed.

Streams of white energy kept pouring into my body, my power still surging—it was Divine Law, trying to inject its power into me and shatter my consciousness.

With a sharp crack, Tan Tian’s eyes widened as his Corpse Jade fractured. He immediately raised both hands, summoning two purple shadows. Two violet beasts instantly darted to my hands and bit down.

“Can you bite through?”

With a crash, I sent out a burst of power with a single thought. My entire body blazed like the sun, and suddenly the space around me was as bright as day.

“A sign of heaven and earth collapsing...”

Suddenly, everything plunged into darkness. The shadow of the Corpse Jade vanished from sight, and Tan Tian was gone. I felt a tremendous force squeezing my body.
